These are a great idea to attach to prepared food containers. I use fabric paint to write down what is in the container and sew on berries instead of a glued button.

I wish I knew! It was a gift from my mother when I was a little girl. But they make much safer ones these days that don’t burn you when you use them. I highly recommend looking for one of those newer styles.

I like it, but I'm going to figure this out so that I don't have to rely on a glue gun, of which I think that it makes it look tacky.

Sharp needle and thread for the button will hold it together nicely 👍

Yes, just hand sew the bottom on. You’ll probably need your thimble to push the needle through the layers. Or use a zig zag machine stitch with the width set at zero. That’s what I’m going to try first.
