Vultures Roost is a great training ground if you are just starting the game and following quests/missions and not knowing you can get to lvl75 systems for better loot. Once you have a bit of experience and some Advanced weapons Vultures Roost is a snore fest, not worth the effort. The contraband is good if you like that style of play but you get more credits selling Advanced weapons without the hassle. Unfortunately Vulture's Roost does not scale to the players lvl, if it did it would be fun. I have seen the Mining Platform a few times but not a common site. Good vid as usual, thanks mate.
i remember when I first did Vultures roost, how amazing it was to explore and still love the layout. When I was speed running through the Starborn levels on my main char I always came here to load up on contraband for the creds to upgrade my ship. Agree there should be way more of these unique locations...expecting this type of content when the creation kit is released! I'd wait until the next update before starting a new playthrough (before end of April?) - I'm really hoping for a Survival Mode for a real test 🙂
This is a good point and something that’s often overlooked. It’s easy to store items on your ship instead of having to make decisions about what to keep and what to leave.
Great Photo opt on the Balcony of the Jail! You and your Ship, its very Classy🎉 Ecliptics are the worse, but Deanpo, If you Join the Crimson you can just go stealrh and Boss Farm like CRAZY😅

Love your videos! Quick tip I recently learned on lockpicking. The outer circles change color from white to blue if the lock fits that level. Ie if the outer circle is white you know automatically that set doesn't belong, however if blue it could potentially work. You can even see on a set if the inner rings highlight blue as well if on the outer ring.
I did Jaffa early on in my game play and the main benefit was selling all the contraband at the Den for credits. If you’re trying to level up your security skill, it’s great because of all the locks but gets tedious after the first four or five. Agree with a few others that this would be great on a level 75 system.
In Vultures Roost the Ship (Ecliptic Dagger I think) stays and you can take it. At the Abandoned Hanger, every time I have been there at least, the ship drops troops and then takes off. So if you want a ship that is another one for the Roost.
Helpful hint- the lock picks always work in pairs, and you will almost never have one that does a single pick for a ring. Like if a ring only has two slots, it HAS to be two single picks. I’ve also only ever had one pick my entire time that required three picks on a single ring.
I’ve also had a bug sometimes where after doing a higher level ring the next ring below it has one slot disappear. The pick fits all but has one remaining tick. But if you use it, it will still work. Like the glitch makes the slot disappear but it’s really still there.

Vulture's Roost is good for the contraband loot, over 20K. If you loot everything else , you can come out with a good haul, fun combat. Rare and legendary weapons not so much.

However, if you go super early with LOTS of Digipicks(Master Lvl Perk) and you LOOT, put All the trash in your Ship instead of Dropping it, you could come out with Sooo much Cash and be net positive on All meds and Ammo used. I used my MagSniper during Daylight to Snipe 90% from the 1st section so I only had a handful left. And also had fun shooting every Fuel Can😂😂😂😂
❤YOU ARE COMPLETELY CORRECT❤ After spending the Last 6 months of my Life Save Scumming😅 I agree with most of your thoughts on Loot Tables after 10 drops, you can get an Idea of what kind of Drops are possible HOWEVER 😅 you are simply not playing this as maniacally devoted as I am my friend ❤ Here are some Ideas to tryout after using the same Reload point. #1- Add in a Quicksave tryout that spot or different ones... Eat some Food, switch weapons, go back to a slightly different save. Turn off game come back hours later😂 If ALL of that fails, tell the game exactly what you expect it to drop Instigating Legendary Hard Target over and over while it Loading.😅 You may only get Bashing or Space Adept 😂 However, The Great Serpent is Listening 😅
Contraband is too much of a hassle when you have alot at a location. Trade authority only ever has 11,000 credits. Aurora is fun before having the jetpack maxed. After its useless.
I always upgrade vendor creds by buying out their ammo first. Its a good way to get upwards of 30 to 40 k credits available and the ammo has no Mass so you can carry tons of it for no issues.
I was there yesterday. It sucked at level 45. They should of built that on a level 75. The Template is cool, that's the only reason to do it. A ship used to drop in the Canyon, so it used to be way better. I suppose if you are after contraband, that would be another reason to do it.
Vulture's Roost and Sonny di Falco's Island are cool for RP'ing and running around, but I feel like the rewards don't match the time investment. I think if I ever found a legendary weapon at either template I'd change my opinion, so for now they are meh. Give me some Abandoned POI's with cracked weapon racks any day.
@@deanpogaming I think the Combat Veteran helmet might be better. Since you fight mostly humans at POI's, 15% damage reduction is equivalent to 150 resistance/armor.
DeanPo, great video as always! I like Vulture's Roast because it's a fairly decent POI for getting extra meds and various ammo! Really, that's all it's good for if you are higher level because combat is too easy, but if you are low level, it can be a fun challenge! It would be really great if Bethesda made POI's scale with the level you are!
Contraband… I’m over it. I’d rather pick up gray weapons and armor and sell them. Contraband is worth a lot and the vendors run out of cash so fast that it’s a PITA to wait two or three times just to sell it all. Plus the pain of having to buy shielded cargo and a jammer to avoid detection. Just pick up all the weapons and you are rich enough quick to do most anything. My opinion…
Ok, I'm doing a grind to NG+10 VH difficulty, only cheat is giving Trade Authority vendors more cash so I'm not spending all my time selling shit, anyway, saw this video and reminded me I hadn't done it in a minute so decided it would make a good cash run, drops are LEVEL based, I'm doing it right now at level 109 and all drops are advanced, many with mods so it looks like it does scale with your character.
I’ve done the Roost for the contraband…if I go back now I always take my little pew pew gun for fun…it’s Legendary Advanced with demoralizing staggering ,corrosive and I’ve modded it with whitehot…wait for it…ahh yes it’s a Grendel ✌️
I'm not 100% sure but I think the mine template you found was where I got the slate off one of the dead miners for the side quest Final Thoughts. If I remember right he was outside near the bottom of the stairs.
I have seen the template interior before but not the outside layout. The Vulture’s Roost would be a good stop for supplies on the first trip out to a level 75 system. After that only good for contraband collecting. One of your next runs should include a pairing of your new hard target and xm2311. Finally, this character should last as long as you are still challenged.

DeanPo, what do you think about the Ecliptic base on Masada III? You can go there anytime in the game. You just won't get the key card to spawn for the unity temple underground
I'd like to make sure I have a good understanding of this, I've only gone into NG+1 at high level before I starting over. The thing it is I loose interest pretty fast when battles become repetitive hence the same thing over and over, so my understanding is that each NG+ level the game gets harder? Is this correct? The roost is a fav of mine but I don't do it for the contraband, I've gotten to the point that contraband is more trouble than what it's worth.

Itis written in such a way that most Lines of Dialogue are applicable to several different interpretations for Alternate Universes... And Playthroughs. The game Basically Shapes its own Reality every Loading Screen. Whats to stop it from calculating what you have passed on, what you have spent time considering, what Items you saved as possibilities and added those factors into the Loot Table we KNOW exists???

Huygens VII-A - The abandoned hangar & underground facility is one of my favourite places for XP.

It’s gets harder until you hit NG+10, then it stop getting harder there but you can go infinetely
