I can see the application for this for sure but i don't quite like how you've done the integration. I wish it wouldn't be clip specific with the tracks more like deck specific so left or right deck assigned to layers and bpm sync all around. THAT would be a game changer. At least give more room for free flow vjing rather than just specifically planned sets.
Is there any kind of BPM link integration in this? Let's say a full music video has been linked to the track, however, when mixing there will always occur a small offset. How will the video react?
the video playhead will always be at the position of the track playhead. if the video is shorter than the track you can use the Stretch playback mode to stretch the video length to the track length.
Regarding the BPM sync: you can send the BPM from the turntables to Resolume over midi if you so desire.
@@ResolumeVJSoftware is it possible to map (for example) EQ-buttons from the Pioneer mixers to certain Resolume parameters like opacity? When I’m DJ’ing, I tend to use the EQ knobs more than the upfaders.
That depends wheter the DJ mixer sends out MIDI or not. If so, the standard midi shortcut methods should work: resolume.com/support/en/midi-shortcuts
@@ResolumeVJSoftware stretch means it loops the video till it has the same length? or it means if the video is shorter and will be stretched that it will play slower. or i need to select "loop mode" and it will loop thill the end of the music track?

It does not sync bpms? And the fader layer is notbing detected on my CDJ 3000 So Moving any of the faders has 0 effect on the faders. By looking at the pink bar in the pioneer connection
Is it possible to connect tracks without having a pioneer setup available? On the road and wanna add new tracks before the show.
Yes! Just set the clip from Timeline to Pioneer and you're good to go once you get to your players!

@@Phatzoo use either the title or file name in the clip panel. So instead of dragging & dropping the player you just type in the title or filename yourself.
This no longer works, After the 7.13 update
The only options available are Timeline and BPM sync if you don't have the desired transport mode active.

Hey! I've seen that the XDJ - XZ comes with full Pro DJ link capacity, with ethernet ports to connect to CDJs and DJMs. So, t it would work with the XZ, right?

I have gotten everything linked. the faders work. I see the track names. But what does not work is the playhead does not move when the cdj is playing. I have never seen the time count the way it does on your screen, It is always at zero. or if I click the pioneer clip it changes to the total time of the cdj deck. Any help?
Asking about delay like in smpte mode... when the dj booth is far away from FOH. Theres always a delay. how we can adjust the delay with this feature ? Cz its different with offset...
Also its will be way cooler if the bpm on resolume always sync with active cdj bpm.😘😘👍🏻great update anyway
If you are using SMPTE mode you can just set a delay in the SMPTE Panel.
If you are using DJ sync mode you can use offset to compensate for delay.
If you want the dj-player to control the clock you can use MIDI from the DJ controller into your machine.
Possible to have Resolume auto sync with video file with the same name as the mp3 that is being played? (way less work with large amount of files)

Hello ! I ask you if it is possible to play a video clip in Resolume that has 6 audio channels and be able to output them through independent outputs with an external card connected to the PC?

Is a Pioneer DJM Mixer required for this to work? I have 2 CDJ3000s linked into a switch along with the computer running Arena. Arena shows TCNet connection is active but says no players are detected. Bridget shows a "1" in the bottom left corner with a flashing reload icon and all the players are grayed out.
I am running audio out of the CDJs through another computer running Traktor fwiw.
Also I am running Artnet on Arena as well, but the Artnet node is attached to a separate switch (same overall home network). Not sure if that impacts anything.

Support for other models depends on which models Pioneer DJ adds to their Pro DJ Link Bridge application.

Did anyone get this working? I got everything to work except the "Player Layer Target". I have three layers in my composition. My videos for specific tracks is on layer one. For now layer 2 and 3 is empty. I run two cdj-3000 and a djm-a9 setup. So I have Player 2 set to layer 1 and Player 3 set to layer 2. I have also change the clip target to the Pioneer player. But both players will still only play on Layer 1. Is there something that I missed?

Really cool stuff! Only thing is I can't seem to make the right click on the Players work for Player Layer Targeting as described in the Resolume Article. Suggestions or other ways?

If a song is played faster and you choose the stretch option for the playback mode, will the video be sped up?
If stretch is chosen, the video’s duration will be that of the playing track. This effectively changes the “default” speed of the video clip. If you change the speed (pitch) of the player, it will play faster or slower. Just like the speed parameter of a normal “timeline” clip affects the playback speed.

@@FryUps we haven't tried that to be honest. That's a good use case. I must admit I haven't used Virtual DJ.
Is it also possible to catch only the Master BPM to Resolume via lan connection ? So the Visuals in a club play in sync time to all tracks, / the whole set during an evening.
Yes, but you will still need the Pioneer app. You always need that one when using Lan. If you only need BPM I would recommend using midi instead.. much easier if you only need a clock.

@@flexlabz most turntables will have a midi output, a 5-pin DIN connection.
Can this technique work with Traktor using its "LINK" feature in Resolume?
Traktor works with Ableton Link which we support too.

Easiest way to do that would be to send the MIDI out from the DJ out into your computer using a MIDI-USB interface/dongle.
