One of the nicest things she ever did for people was, after her JFK's funeral, she got a lot of mail from people all over the country, expressing their condolences to her about her husband being killed and her being a widow to raise two children on her own. She spent day and night writing back personally to each and every person who wrote to her. I think she did it out of thanks, but also to help the people that wrote to her out of the pain they were enduring. It took her a couple of months, of her writing day and night, but she did it.
There was just something about Jackie . She had that special magic and charisma all her own . I love and admire her memory .

Every time I see a picture of Jackie, it always saddens me. I guess we could just imagine what a different reality we may have been living now. She truly embraced her power as a woman.

I feel really sorry for what happened with Jackie in the latter half of her life. She saw her Husband's Brains get blown out in front of her and was diagnosed with cancer only 3 decades later.

F Y I, Jackie O detested Martin Luther King Jr. referring to the iconic civil rights leader as a "terrible man" I suspect that attitude was a result of her husband and brother-in-law's repeated meetings with King and his group, John F Kennedy was tolerant of KIng and his demands his brother RFK not so much, but later championed King and his demands after his brother was assassinated that changed him until he too was assassinated.
President Johnson was a joke by forcing Mrs Kenedy to stand there while he took the oath of office. That was beyond cruel.
