Sometimes I feel my music is generally better in the background, but it also happens that when I listen to it in 3rd person (as a listener and not as artist) then I feel like you just described. The "problem" is that indeed there are a lot of things that we can do while listening to music...your music.( like all those that give us pleasure in life) .
