This is wonderful stuff. I listen to a lot of Meditation Music, and most of it is un-meditative for me because they come up with a good idea but then they put that into a loop where it just repeats over and over. Your stuff is filled with a steady stream of nylon-string improvisations which are gorgeous and make each moment of the passage of time here filled with a sense of newness and wonder. As we would say in the old days: "That boy really knows how to turn a melody!" I just discovered you two days ago, and already you are at the top of my list for this kind of sound.
Hello, Jamie! Thank you so much for this generous and complete analysis of my music! I really enjoyed reading your comment. It is true what you say about some meditative tracks. I also enjoy loop-style composition, and that’s my mindset when composing and producing music for the channel. But making the loop sound (or feel) different through a seven or nine-minute track can be very difficult. So, as you said, I agree that a very good ingredient is melody. And I love writing and playing melodies on the guitar, so it has become my favorite ingredient. Though I know some ambient music composers can do magic when creating atmospheres and rarely need melodies. I appreciate your comment. Thank you so much for being part of the channel! 😄🎵
