  • In this video, we show you how we Plasti-Dipped Bobby's Tail lights on his 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T. This isn't a full tutorial but just a video so you can get an idea of what cheap mods you can do to your car. Let us know what you think of the finished product and what mods we should do in the future. Thanks for watching!

Looks good! I did my 2009 Challenger the opposite and left the middle clear and plasti dipped the outside perimeter of the lights. Mostly because the black plastic trim outside of the lights had nearly faded to gray and I wanted to darken them too.

I remember when I was in the process of dipping the hood on my Challenger, right in the middle, black. I forgot that you have to remove it instantly after applying the last coat and it fucked up on the sides and looked terible when i removed the tape. I wasnt even completely done and i had to remove the whole damn thing off and start over again. What a pain in the ass that was. First thing I ever dipped was my rims and that was 2 years ago and they're still holding up after all this time

I think you should of left a small line about the same thickness as the top and bottom of the tailight that isn't plastidipped next to the reverse light on each side so it looks like the new challenger taillights since it already looks so close but surprisingly clean job looks good

Currently almost 8pm going to hit my 4th coat. Medium spray. Almost there just some small pockets of light shining through. Weather is cooling off. I probably should have started early in the afternoon.

Final spray. Looks like it didn't go so well. Paint is dripping, outside temp is dropping fast. Also between the 3rd and 5th coats I may have rushed it and didn't give it time to properly dry.

Y'all should use the Night Shades paint and spray over the center reverse light, that would be sic. That way the black center bar goes all the way across, but the reverse light would still be functional, what do you think? Do it!
