Wow! Beautiful instrument! I just discovered the instrument today from two Dutch ladies who played it, I jammed together with my acoustic bass guitar and it was so easy to play with them, although I heard the instrument for the first time.

Is this the same as a "kora"?
Not really, this is ”young man’s kora”, a real kora is bigger and has more strings.
