BaraGnouma makes great instruments. I highly recommend them! I purchased a traditional Konso Kora from them recently, and I will say..the Konso is very difficult at first to learn how to tune..but with patience and practice you will gain the skill. When I first had it in tune it was magical. I collect and play many instruments and the Kora is by far my favorite. I plan to buy a Modern Kora soon to keep two in different keys.. Silaba (F) and Sauta (G). The Konso had its own spiritual satisfaction with balancing the instrument in tune. Do not buy a Konso Kora unless you are dedicated and have patience But do buy one if you want a full and rich experience ! BaraGnouma gets five stars from me for Customer service and outstanding craftsmanship 👍
Wow. Even though the instrument plays only 5 of the notes within the octave, kamelengoni players have great insight into how it can make very unique and moving music.
Thank you for this music. Il never forget the words of Khalifa Koné the djembe is in the soul of the player, and the soul of the player is in the djembe. Your place here on earth has inspired many people to blossom into musicians
When i restored my djembé for its new life with me i felt that it finally "wanted" to be my drum. I do feel more and more connected with it the more i play it.
@@shredmaster974 I hope we cross paths to play together one day, the more kindred spirits unite the greater the music. Play on brother, carry the music in your heart and mind, let it carry us into the depths of our world towards both the joyous places we seek and goodness unforeseen
@waffles266 you said so beautiful words, thank you ! I really hope we cross paths one day :) and i will keep music in my heart for sure !! It's the most sacred language (at least, in my opinion) and us, musicians, are the scientists and engineers of a world that gets kinder and more compassionate ! Have a nice day mon ami, take care :)

Hola. Gracias

What tuning is it in? I know pentatonic but what notes for each string? I just bought one!’
the tuning is : F, G, A, C, D
@@BaraGnouma I am tuned this way with F my lowest string but the notes are too high in video
@@chelbeli I think the lowest string is tuned with C in this video. It's very high... With such a high tuning, the thin strings are likely to break.
