@@readysetgo4468If you still want to know he took on this path called "The Golden Path" in which he transformed himself into a worm-like body that's basically immortal and has god-like powers so he can tyrant over humanity for like 3500 years (not that he really wants to be a tyrant, but to teach them a lesson they won't forget, I'll explain in a bit). By the way at this point Arrakis is no longer a full desert planet, the worms are destroyed and the amount of spice left and stored are limited, causing space travel and things like lengths of human life to weaken. So Leto with his abilities of seeing the future set "The Golden Path" in motion that in which he will oppress humanity so much in scale of which no other tyrant/emperor did before that they will not make the same mistakes they did again to trust leaders. And when he eventually dies his worm body causes Arrakis to transform into a desert planet again and sandworms come back once more, producing more spice. And this combined with the end of Leto's long-lasting tyranny causes humanity to expand across the universe like never before, escaping the hands of the imperium. And he also controlled the Bene Gesserit breeding program and put on a gene that makes one invisible to prescient vision so they couldn't be traced and hunted. So in the end Leto ensures that no other tyrant can rule humanity over like this ever again, preventing their extinction. TLDR: Basically in the goal of "The Golden Path " he oppresses humanity so much that when his rule ends he ensures that humanity will not make the same mistakes that they did before to be oppressed and controlled ever again.
