- Hello again everyone! I figured this video would help because I've gotten a few questions from people who do not know the difference between going to school for their degree in medical assisting or their certificate. I hope this video did help some. Thank you for watching and your support!

Thank you ! I got my degree in 2003 . I raise my 3 girls with a medical assistant salary and I’m super thankful for accomplishing my goals . I’m a single mom and things were hard . I recommend everyone to get a degree vs diploma because you can always be a part time instructor in any vocational school . Good luck everyone 🥰
I’m 19. Do you think I’ll be okay with the salary of a medical assistant
Thank you !!
I’m going for my certification is the exam hard??
Is that an associate?
@@yelyharmony2047 Yeah
Hi, I love your videos. I am a (NHA CCMA, NHA Phlebotomy Technician, NHA EKG Technician) Clinical Certified Medical Assistant in NY since 2019. Every two years you have to re-certify and study class materials and choose what to study. It requires you to take test modules (20) questions per module and the lowest score you can get is 70% to pass. Most modules are usually 1 to 2 credits each. You need a total of 10 completed credits to re-certify. All your information is accurate, I just added what I had to do in order to maintain my certifications. God bless you.
Hey! I loved your comment I’m in the process of getting my Clinical Certified medical assistant through nha. I was wondering are you able to get a job with the certificate. I’m burnt out on being a cna and I’m looking for a different career in the medical field.
very detailed and explained everything perfect. thank you very much for your time!
Thank you for your video. I appreciate your candor regarding the Degree vs. Certificate as I transition my career. God Bless You! :)
I really appreciate your video, helps out a lot and gives me a better view of which path I want to take. Thank you so much!
Thanks to share these things with us I m also doing RMA so it's really helpful for me .
This was super helpful, I appreciate it💪🏽 good intro btw
maybe it like that where you are but in Missouri you can work as a MA with a CNA some place don't even require that

Phantom Entertainment glad i can help ! Stay safe 🙏🏽💕
Can you recommend some schools that offer online classes or night classes
Thankyou for clarification 🎃 and optimism
Thank you, the information was so clear. Plzz make more in healthcare related jobs
Thank you for make it clear for me
Thank you so much for the informative video.
In Illinois you have take certification exam with Degree.
Hi , there are multiple certificates for Medical Assistant , which certificate is best ?
All of them will equal an associates …. You take less classes
So right now my major is pre medical assisting and my degree would be in applied science. Do i have to be in a program in order for me to get a job as soon as I graduate or could I finish my general classes and get my degree and apply for a job right after
That’s smart what did u do?
What are your thoughts on USCI? I like the online format.
Thank youuuu, so helpful
Thank you very informative
thank you for the information.
Thank you 😊 for you help
Thank you so much Luv
Thank you so much !
U so fine and smart 😍🤓 thank u for ur information keep the videos coming
Love it
Thank you
my school only offers diploma, I didn't know there was a MA degree
Dont take MA degree, its as useless as gender studies, a certification is much better more hands on experience (which you need the most), much faster and in the end both MA degree and diploma will get same certification. If you want a degree go for nursing!!
@@apdroidgeek1737 I feel like you still take your certification exam at the end of a MA degree as well though.
Congratulations 🤍
Thank You so much
Pretty Much Help.
Where in New York did you do your training ?
Why the air quotes when you say "graduate"? Is that suppose to be offensive?
So is it still valid in 2022 if I go for the degree will I need to take an exam
Absolutely still valid 👍🏽 No exam needed for MA degree. Only for MA certification.
Where are you from/what school did you go to? I want to go to MA school and at trying to research the best place
Do you get more hands on training in the degree ?
Hey love ❤️ same amount of hands on training. No difference lol
Is the test hard to pass
Like what classes
where did you go to apply for jobs?
Hi thank you for watching. Indeed is my best friend
@@diamondnreallife3207 ok, thank you. it seems so saturated there. do you get a lot of call backs?
@@hidfigfig2564 i usually apply for the ones that are “urgently hiring”. Those ones tend to call back a lot faster. There is a way to filter it where only you can only see urgently hiring jobs. Also, if you have little experience, you should filter it to “entry” jobs. Therefore, it will only show jobs that don’t require many years experience.
@@diamondnreallife3207 ok thank you will def do that.
what is the pay in New York?
Hi, so depends on your experience. I’m currently $25/hr because now i have 4 years of experience but at the time of this video i was making way less lol.
@@diamondnreallife3207 ok, that makes sense. Thank you. What do you recommend to get the experience and for growth to increase salary?
@@hidfigfig2564 I recommend working in a primary care office. Therefore, you can gain skills in mostly all the basics. As opposed to working in a specialty office, were things can be a lot different.
@@diamondnreallife3207 good to know, thank you!
Hi where in NY do you pay to renew your certification
Hey! Thank you so much for watching. ❤️I actually renew my certificate online on amcaexams.com. But that’s because I got certified through AMCA. There are different certifications companies. Therefore I can only speak for AMCA.
Thank you can you explain me about continuing education. I am confused when our certificate expire do we have to retake the exam or continue taking classes all over again to renew certification
@@rociolazo5675 great question! No you don’t have to retake the whole exam (thank goodness). Basically they give you 3 sections (you pay for each, about $20 each) then each section has an article about 8-9 pages and short quizzes. The answers to the quizzes are all in the article. And you move at your own time, there’s no time limit ( of course it has to be done before expiration date) When you pass the quizzes then they will renew your certification and email you an
E-Certificate (additional payment is required for physical copy of it) But, don’t worry about not passing, it’s extremely easy and again the answers are in the passage. 💪🏽
@@diamondnreallife3207 thank you for guiding me. Are they’re limited chances in taking the quizzes or can you take many times as you want to get the correct answers
@@rociolazo5675 I believe you can keep re-taking until you pass.
Lmao should of gone to school for rn what a waste
There’s no such thing as “waste” when it comes to time and learning a skill. Everything happens exactly when it’s supposed to happen. That’s the importance of “going with the flow of life”. And FYI, i will be graduating nursing school this year in December. So there was no waste.
Thank you
