Brother, apparently you're not aware of the way how price dumping works. You jump to the new market with aggressive, uncompetitive low prices of any product actually, get an attention and a large group of customers caring about price first, then you establish your brand's position and the prices... Are getting equal or even bigger than your, as you said, "overpriced" competitors. Havals and other Chinese cars are in the same stage as Korean cars 10 years ago and for instance, Skoda cars in Europe 15 years ago. Great Wall is a large, rich conglomerate who can afford a small profit on its products, which is sacrificed for the future benefits. But soon they will start rising the price tags to the same "overpriced" level. Don't worry. Take a look of the price of new Hyundai Tucson comparing to rivals in 2009 and now. You see?

Nice Video Chiro I've been waiting for this car review on this channel for a while We have been looking to get this car We drive the Haval H1 Its been very good indeed
I saw one 2 days ago and I said to my wife: What the hell is that ? Haval ? Never heard of it and came home and googled it. The more information I gathered the more I liked it. And today went for a test drive. Woooow, I was blown away. First of all the looks, stunning and sitting in it for the first time. Very luxurious feel that you only find in way more expensive cars. It reminds of a Volvo XC60 that I tried a year ago but costs 3 times more here in Thailand. How is that possible. Man I am sold. I am gonna get one soon. And the drivetrain here in Thailand is awesome. 1.5 liter turbo and too electric engines so it's a hybrid. And the combined output is 249hp. That's what I'm talking about. Not like Honda's HRV with 130 shitty ponies, which cost the same. Oh man this brand will shake the ground of it's competitors for a looong time, once people find out this is around...
We own a H6 lux as our family car bought in late August this year, my wife and I have driven German our whole lives until this purchase. I can undoubtably say that once you are able to put your brand biases aside, this is the best value for money buy you will ever make. In the span of 3 months we have covered 5k km without a single hassle. Besides the insane value proposition it’s just a damn good car and a damn good buy. Great review Ciro💪🏽

Beautiful review Ciro, and beautiful car indeed. Actually I've loved the Havals since they were introduced in 2017. Maybe they must deploy that engine to the Jolion as well as an option. Because it seems the 2l turbo is smoother and pairing well with it's gearbox.
Just bought the superlux......few cons you will pic up if u daily the car.........since you couldn't find any. 1. Little heavy on gas if you running around. I'm averaging 12/13 overall. 2. Quite a bit of Body roll compared to a tiguan. You won't feel it.......your passengers will. 3. 120KPH Warnings needs to be removed by booking the car IN. 4. Rust checks every 3mths.
I agree 10000% with you on this, and with our potholes in the country, it sometimes feel like the car and the driver fights to dodge the pothole, car wants you to go straight, and you fight to dodge haha
to me seeing this is knowing the bigger brands are just skating on reputations at the moment and not stepping up the game and thinking about the buyer!
Well thought out review. And honestly I feel the review was well balanced. With many more models coming out of China, you need such thought out reviews so that the consumers will know the real difference between a Chinese brand and others. I really liked the point when you touched that the fact the durability of these vehicles. Please keeping such videos. I personally believe if the Chinese manufacturers get their act together with quality, and improve the perception of durability, they are really going to give a run for the money for most European car manufacturers!!!
Good honest review. Great looking car, could force BMW to lower their prices. Interior is ultra modern. Paint finish is excellent. Drives extremely well and quiet and smooth.
Wow, nice to see folks in South Africa enjoy the Haval SUV, H6 has been the best-selling car in China market for like 5 years. It's reliable and good to drive, I guess there are more Chinese manufacturers coming to the international market like Geely and Changan. But the best part of Chinese cars are the EVs, like NIO, Xpeng, and BYD. Hope you guys can enjoy those great products soon in the future.
@@wavenharper3091 I checked out a H6 Ultra Vanta at the dealer. Brought along a memory stick with music. Sounds ok. Better than most in the segment. I am definitely getting the Hybrid later in the year.

When i got my vehicle, a 2013 model (in 2018) it has 4 electric windows, Bluetooth radio, adjustable steering wheel, radio volume which can adjust according to your driving speed, drivers seat which can go up md down not just front and back. It's a base model kia rio. Some, if not all these features are not available in the base polo and tiida of the same years. The Asians are just the best. The luxury makers are even worse. Having to pay for almost every feature on those really expensive vehicles is so dumb.
Truly speaking, GWM Haval is heading into the right direction... They offer real value for your money and more car than other brands. Things that you pay for in other brands, the Chinese offer them in packages that are amazing. They definitely took a page out of Lexus.
The Haval crossover is the perfect car for most families. No wonder it is taking over the naamsa charts. However I am extremely intrigued to know in which tree-rich area of South-Africa this episode was filmed in. It is absolutely tranquil.

Awesome review as always! The H6 is definitely a must for those who want a cheaper car without sacrificing safety etc. But I am really curious if you can maybe do a review on the JAC T6/T8 range of bakkies. Especially since the T8 is based off a Hilux..
Great review, thanks. Just 1 question - what is the real-world fuel economy? I know the H6C is quite heavy, the Jolion isn't too frugal either. But "claimed fuel economies" are as useful as a parachute to a diver. What did your tests return?
The question was : "....what is the real world fuel economy?" "...it's not light on fuel." Does the word COMPREHENSION mean anything to you? Dumbest / doffest answer ever! What is "not light".... 24l / 100 km.... 8,5 I / 100 km....
I know this comment won't be well received, but here I go anyway. I own a 2013 Mercedes C class. I got it three years ago with relatively high mileage at a very reasonable price. It's luxurious, reliable and safe. While it was in for panel beating, I was provided with the Haval Jolion while my car was being repaired. I can't fault much with the Jolion, however, there was nothing about the Jolion that excited me. The drivetrain was smooth overall, but not thrilling, the infotainment system was confusing and the seating position was something that I couldn't get comfortable with. The feel when closing the doors and general driving feel gave me no sense of safety. While I appreciated the fact that there is technology in the Haval that you would not expect to find in cars with similar prices, I feel as if they have missed the mark on some essentials, the driving dynamics, seating and quality. If I was on the market for my next car, I personally would opt for another high mileage German brand. The Germans have been making cars for more than a century and driving the Jolion makes you realise how well thought out and well-engineered the germans have built their cars. Lastly, I do want to add that for someone who isn't fussed about cars and wants a car at a good price point with impressive technology and doesn't want to worry about spending a fortune on maintaining their car, both the Jolion and the H6 are good picks in their respective segments.
I am sure GWM can build cars for customers like you. But Haval is not a high-end brand, it's a family car brand, they put money on things they believe most people care, focusing on building an affordable and well-equipped family SUV. If you are looking for driving dynamics or stuff like air suspension, you can have a look at other brands of GWM, such as Wey, Tank, etc. BTW, GWM does not build sedans.
One thing we found a big negative, but affects many “compact” SUV’s- the sides are very tall, and seats are very low in 2nd row, and the back windows don’t open completely- almost 15+cm left when “fully” opened. My older child (12Y) 1.45cm, cannot see out the window at all, literally at eyesight level. Might be a non issue for others, but for us made it unusable as an “adventure/gravel road/camping” option.
Yeah, Mitsubishi make dull under-performing reliable cars, but they know a thing or two about engines. The previous gen M3 and M4 used Mitsubishi turbos.
Looks like a Volvo that was heavily influenced by the styling of many Hyundais and Kiss. Another brand we won't be receiving here in the U.S. at least not in the next few years.
Forgot to mention that I also upgraded my service plan to a 5 year Maintenance plan for only R10k extra. Got a 7 year unlimited warranty as well. So no worries for all these years except for tires.
International trade agreement with the Chinese government is working magic, I guess no hefty import duties compared to the European trade union, this competitive pricing. By the way best content creator so far.
Minor quibble - cars with keys the size of the lunchbox I used to take to school are a real pain if you are a runner and need to carry that thing somewhere in your shorts!
Accident safety would be the first thing I want to know about. Small overlap crash test, side impact crash test and how that compares to something like a Hyundai suv

I want to get a new Haval but wondering when a hybrid version will be available. I saw Australia has the hybrid version early 2022. Might help with the extremely expensive fuel prices…. Not sure if I should wait and what it will cost in SA
Just 5 days after buying a brand new H6 Premium it started to give me problems in that the computer did not respond to commands or sometimes changed settings without me imputing a new command. To date it has been back to the dealership 8 times in the last 14 months but the problem has never been resolved. The most worrying thing is that when the dealership took it in for yet another inspection they asked me when I had changed the battery. I had never changed the battery and the car had only left my possession when it was in the care of the dealership. The swap of the battery could only have happened at one of Haval SA's storage depots or at the dealership. I have raised the issue with both Haval SA and with GWM China. China did not reply and SA sometimes reply after many phone calls and even a visit to their HQ in Johannesburg. Firstly they say that there is no fault as they recall all models reported with re-occurring faults. They refuse to accept that "rogue" cars, known in the US as "lemons", exist. They now say that the computer system is not covered by the warrantee as it is not "mechanical". A good car but don't expect any after-sales service from Haval SA.

Finally. You guys got your hands on one. I have one and love it. 1 month now and it's perfect.
Nice Video Chiro
I've been waiting for this car review on this channel for a while
We have been looking to get this car
We drive the Haval H1
Its been very good indeed
My uncle drives an H1. It's a Good car, it really needs a facelit though
Been driving H1, 4 years now 70k km on the clock no issues. M looking forward to this monster one day
I saw one 2 days ago and I said to my wife: What the hell is that ?
Wow, that says a lot then if you're coming from german brands
How's the fuel consumption?
@@thaboletanta9666 it’s decent considering it’s a turbo charged 2.0 petrol. 9 to 10 L per km in town and 7 to 8 on the long road. Acceptable I think
How much is the monthly instalment?
@@anathimdludla7305 I pay 5200 but I had a deposit. You looking at about 6500 over 72 months with a 35 percent balloon. It’s the cheapest way but definitely not the smartest or financially advisable way.
Clicked so fast when I saw this notification 😜
Me too!
Only watched 2 reviews now, but this channel is really well done. Good info, quality editing etc etc etc.
nice!
to me seeing this is knowing the bigger brands are just skating on reputations at the moment and not stepping up the game and thinking about the buyer!
And this is why people wanted to hear about this car so much
Well thought out review.
How did they do it😳🤔 so much luxury fitted in such low price. I salute Haval for their massive sales
Thanks , was really waiting for this review before finalising this car to buy. At last got your reliable feedback - ready to go ☺️👍
You're telling me that a Haval in South Africa is selling so good that it can barely be found in dealerships?! We've been conquered.
This is how almost all Chinese cars interiors are like ….premium quality and super affordable! I love Haval!
Good honest review. Great looking car, could force BMW to lower their prices. Interior is ultra modern. Paint finish is excellent. Drives extremely well and quiet and smooth.
yes ! the major brands need to be taught a strong lesson by losing market share .
How is changan CS75
I have the ultra and it’s amazing!! Very happy buyer here
haval H6 is the best seller in china for many years, reliable quality and good value in money
The waiting list for this and the Jolion is looooooooooooooooooooooooong! I was told today that if I buy it now I will get it in June.
also the designer for Land Rover resigned and works for Haval . that’s why it’s got that super luxury feel . AMAZING car
Very nice car indeed! At 09:10 I think you wanted to say "If you reverse into something in this car you are a moron" but you were too kind to say it🤣🤣
Ciro does like 3D cameras.. I remember when he did the X5 Review and he was impressed with its 3D camera as well 😂
Don't forget in the super Lux you get a heads-up display and more speakers also all wheel drive. I'm loving my H6 never looking back!!!
How does the stereo sound in the super lux version ? 8 speakers ?
10 speakers, not the loudest I've heard but good enough. Super Lux
@@wavenharper3091 I checked out a H6 Ultra Vanta at the dealer. Brought along a memory stick with music. Sounds ok. Better than most in the segment. I am definitely getting the Hybrid later in the year.
I'm jealous that I miss out on the hybrid
Thanks for a wonderful and very appealing review once again Mr. CIRO
From all the havals you have reviewed they have this bumping/knocking sound coming from suspension or tyres if you go over a bump but still road presence and beautiful cars😍
Definitely worth a look. Time to ditch brand snobishness. It looks like great value.
great, we are getting ours in 1 week. The backlog at every dealer is insane. 40+ people on the lists waiting.
Car not yet reviewed until you do it. Great Job.
Great review as always, I love your humour whilst delivering vehicle reviews.
Great n objective video. I wouldn't bet against the Chinese products. Always improving. Still didn't expect them to reach this standard so soon.
I drive my aunts new H6 hehehe gees never been mesmerised by a car in that way tjerrr….. awesome car and you would never go wronggg cant wait to watch a more depth review of it
BRILLIANT review Cirro !
Thank you so much !
I'm getting various H6' & Jolion's for business 😃👍
Love these things 💪
I'll buy it just because of the petrol engine... Very nice review, thanks Ciro 👍🏻
Was looking at the RAV 4 but nah this is better
Great looking vehicle... My Concern is after sales service.. Maintenance... but then that concern goes to all brands...
This car is a bargain of the century 😜❤️
Nah… ‘luxury’ brands have been ripping people off. This car is a no-brainer.
The Haval crossover is the perfect car for most families. No wonder it is taking over the naamsa charts. However I am extremely intrigued to know in which tree-rich area of South-Africa this episode was filmed in. It is absolutely tranquil.
The area is known as Bishop's Court, Cape Town. Thanks for watching :)
@@Carscoza Hi thanks for the reply. I was way off. I could see table mountain sticking out in some of the clips.
Wow. A really larnie affluent area. The natural atmosphere has something to show for it.
Extremely greatful for the reply.
Awesome review as always! The H6 is definitely a must for those who want a cheaper car without sacrificing safety etc. But I am really curious if you can maybe do a review on the JAC T6/T8 range of bakkies. Especially since the T8 is based off a Hilux..
Great review Ciro. Please consider a review of the Hyundai Staria in the near future.
awsome car but I'm going for the Haval Jolion super luxury.
And how much is the price for the Jolson super lux @Sbu
@@sanda809 about R400k
I’m in Australia just bought a top of the line limited release Vanta H 6 Haval love it.
Great review, thanks. Just 1 question - what is the real-world fuel economy? I know the H6C is quite heavy, the Jolion isn't too frugal either. But "claimed fuel economies" are as useful as a parachute to a diver. What did your tests return?
it is not light on fuel that I can promise you. We have the H6 lux and ford ranger, my DC is lighter on juice than the H6 suprisingly
The question was :
"....what is the real world fuel economy?"
"...it's not light on fuel."
Does the word COMPREHENSION mean anything to you?
Dumbest / doffest answer ever!
What is "not light".... 24l / 100 km.... 8,5 I / 100 km....
my daughter just bought the h6 pleasantly surprised nice car
I wish they offered the Diesel engine option
you can even watch movies on the main screen while driving or stopping. Really nice car for what you pay for
Thanks for the in-depth review
Please review the Haval H6 Ciro
Oh my word you killed me dead with this 🤣
I know this comment won't be well received, but here I go anyway.
I love the fact that they have used Mitsubishi engines especially in the H2
Yeah, Mitsubishi make dull under-performing reliable cars, but they know a thing or two about engines. The previous gen M3 and M4 used Mitsubishi turbos.
These old engines may use a little bit more fuel but that old tech will keep going strong for a long time.
I really like the look of this car.
Looks like a Volvo that was heavily influenced by the styling of many Hyundais and Kiss.
Another brand we won't be receiving here in the U.S. at least not in the next few years.
Haval has used this design language for years.
My brother in law purchased a Haval H6. It is a fantastic car, just suck in fuel consumption
Forgot to mention that I also upgraded my service plan to a 5 year Maintenance plan for only R10k extra. Got a 7 year unlimited warranty as well. So no worries for all these years except for tires.
Wow that's great. How are the brakes
Tyres and petrol you mean. Where did you buy it?
International trade agreement with the Chinese government is working magic, I guess no hefty import duties compared to the European trade union, this competitive pricing. By the way best content creator so far.
Minor quibble - cars with keys the size of the lunchbox I used to take to school are a real pain if you are a runner and need to carry that thing somewhere in your shorts!
Accident safety would be the first thing I want to know about. Small overlap crash test, side impact crash test and how that compares to something like a Hyundai suv
You actually do a great informative review
Well produced and presented, and a brilliant and relevant analysis of why one would opt for this car - bravo 👏
I am going to repeat myself again, haval is the game changer Germans must just go and sleep
no review of the 4x4 capabilities? maybe a follow up?
Ok drove this car over two days in what is probly one of the crapiest roads (East London) it was a rental. Man was i blown away by 1. The damn space the thing has back keg room even in the front its great. Had the privilege of getting the 2.0 turbo. Even in normal mode these things sre nippy as well. Entertainment and media and tec is great. Would love of these for the fam. Only negative for me was the stiff ride. I was driving the 2x4 tho.
When it comes to tech or cars, the Chinese always seem to dominate... and provide it at a lower price than all competitors. :D
When it comes to cheap stuff turning really nasty after some time, the Chinese always seem to dominate...
Really I am considering this car for my next car. What a great car
I want to get a new Haval but wondering when a hybrid version will be available. I saw Australia has the hybrid version early 2022. Might help with the extremely expensive fuel prices…. Not sure if I should wait and what it will cost in SA
A very heartfelt review, for a really good car at an amazing price Ciro.
The answer is that the other manufacturers have put a hefty price on their benign products
