So, I come home to find my girlfriend watching this video without me on the big screen. I'm totally excited, thinking that maybe she wants to start joining me on some fishing trips since I'm always watching Addicted videos and she's seen a bunch of them with me. Awesome! Then she says "Jordan is really cute!" Yeesh.....................
Omg guys thank you so much! It's been so hard to me to figure out how to catch trout in my lakes near by! It's always so busy with people swimming and it's so hot out. I can't catch anything.
Jordan big thanks for all the trout turtorials you have done so many methods on this channel that are very in depth that really helped me step up my trout fishing game this summer!
I got hooked in the thumb through the nail while unhooking a salmon yesterday morning, the fish rolled and broke 30 pound mono while the hook was still in my thumb… luckily it happened so fast it was almost painless. Fish On!
Keep doing what you are doing Jordan. As a lifetime PNW'r all your techniques are familiar to me but I still learn something once in a while. My sons on the other hand learn a lot about their Dads love for fishing. A little strange but the roared when you got the hook in your hand. Keep doing what you do. Do another episode with my buddy Todd Logan!
Ive been watching your guys video....hell yeah me and my daughter been catching fish left and right man!! Thanks a bunch for you videos of how to catch these beautiful fish
Spring is definitely a lot of fun. But even though it’s a lot slower, the size of fish I get in the winter makes it my favorite. Plus the anticipation makes each fish caught that much more exciting. Summer salmon used to be my favorite but it’s gotten too crazy for me, rivers are so damn packed it’s not relaxing at all
It's interesting how different locations different lures work better than others. I wonder why that is. I've tried Mepps spinners, Rapala floaters, Joe's flies, spoons, vibrax spinner, Panther Martin, an imitation crayfish, artificial pink worms, but the only thing that I have actually been able to reel anything in on is my green rooster tail spinner. They go after that thing like crazy hon the river that I fish and I'll catch 5 fish within 30 minutes. I nicknamed it the "flying booger". I figured, so many fly fishing flies have crazy names, I'll give mine a fun name. I guess the brown trout like boogers. Love your videos guys! Keep up the good work, it keeps me motivated. I bought an Okuma rod (the exact same one you're using in this video, and others) and I'm picking up one of their reels today since you have such great success with them in your videos. Thanks for the suggestions on rod and reel! I love my Ultra light Celilo so far.
Hopefully you will get your floats in, they've been sold out for some time. I'd like to try them. I like the ease of use compared to the typical floats available
Excellent video thank you! Hopefully the new tips I’ve learned will help me catch the trout that jump beside my line even mess with it but dnt bite on!
Just found your channel and love it! Great content and excellent presentation. QUESTION: at ~ 5:59 and again at 6:32 there is a glimpse of some snap-shut rod holders but it isn't mentioned or listed, can you tell us who makes or where to buy? I must have one. Thanks.
I feel like I’m one of the only ones I know who love eating trout. More so than even salmon! I’m sorry I’m killing fish but not sorry I’m eating the freshest and most delicious fish.
I wanna see you guys make a trip to Diefenbaker lake and catch some trout there then upload a vid so I can follow your setup and catch some summer trout there. Always skunked LOL
Been having a great time trout fishing in the high mountain lakes while we're out camping in the beautiful PNW. What brand is that crawdad trap in your boat? I keep seeing them but don't know what they're called.
Another killer set up is a 2 oz weight hooked up to a set of willow leaves running a wedding ring. Throw on a worm or some eggs and game on! Works great for trout and Kokanee.
I’ve caught more trout this year then I have in the last 5.. found that in small tiny streams the trout friggin love periwinkles. Haven’t had much luck with lake trout.. haven’t found my click yet
I noticed the crawdad traps you have on your boat info please if possible? Thank you for everything you do! Love your tutorial videos I've been fishing my hole life but always learning something new with every new video. You guys are awesome!! 😎😎😎
for some reason ive never had any luck with those little KCP lures. Ive trolled them without a downrigger but I mostly use them on my down rigger and have never had any luck. I wish they worked for me theyre cool little lures.
Ultralight to Light works well. More sensitive rods allow you to feel for the trout more, especially in moving water. Fly rods with spinning reels work exceptionally well.
Im somewhat new to fishing and i havint been keeping my rod down when using a spinner i usually have it to one side or the otger kinda depending on what was the eater is flowing. Does keeping it down make a decent difference?
You get several different sizes, from the smallest up to the 3/8 oz size. Different conditions call for different weights and sizes. You can probably get by with just a couple of color combos… the black body/gold blade and the yellow body/silver blade.
Does anyone else on here track their catch. I keep lil fishing logs to track the air temp, surface water temp, wind, speed, bait/lure, color, scent to try and match future trips.
@@wardscottcpa I started doing this a few years back for kokanee. I know a couple of my lakes well, but found the knowledge translates well to other lakes.

One thing people don’t realize is 99% of techniques only work in certain waters. Just because these techniques work where he is dosent mean they will anywhere else or at a different time
Why not use an iexpensive Okuma Line counter reel, the small version. I personally hate right hand crank , line counter reels, so I use Okuma left cankers, even though Im right handed.
I've noticed that all of you usually use fluorocarbon for bumper and leader lines. I'd like to know why you choose fluorocarbon over monofilament. What are the different characteristics of these lines? Are there different fishing applications for these different lines? Maybe this is not a question I should be asking here and I should do the research myself. But if you have a quick answer, I'd appreciate it. And I don't have a favorite trout season. It's always a good day to fish unless it's sopping wet out.
What’s your favorite season to catch trout? 🤔 Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter?! 🐟
Anytime but I just started 😅 so I'm learning the ropes. I'm in Washington state myself, Marysville/Everett area
Early spring
Fall
Important question though, what's the hook size for stock trout? I'm caught between 10 and 12
Spring - my state has fall stockings but no where as many places as the spring
How the dog gets excited too is so dope!❤
Great job Jordan, I think most of us are “shore boy’s “ it’s nice you don’t neglect us. ML&Aloha y’all 🤙🏾🤎💪🏾

try fishing a red worm or nightcrawler like a mice tail on a bobber and jighead
@@adamsabbatino8208 I will give that a try and report back, thank you 😊

Try just on dawn , first light, best time to fish a lake, and load's less people!

Dude! Spotted an Addicted Fishing window sticker in Coos Bay today!
Thank you so much! I have been struggling to catch trout in the summer an this helps sooo much! Keep up the good work!❤️
Nightcrawlers usually work for me if the lures don't!
Already know its gonna be another banger! Hell yeah!
Great info thanks Jordan.

Very detailed and informative video, Jordan! Since it's so warm, mb a light color shirt.. He he.

enjoying the channel as a WA guy getting back into it, but also kinda hesitant to know where these spots are given the madness at the nat parks
Another great video by y’all
Love u guys! I learn something every video. Thank you
I think you caught a kokanee at 13 min when you hooked your finger. the tail seems to match the v shape more than a trout. Great video guys
These are excellent.
Thanks Jordan another great educational video by the addicted 👑. God Bless and safe adventures
I think what I’m addicted to is this channel 😂
I got a barbed hook of a panther Martin in the top of my thumb under the nail. I hate getting hooked
Very informative Thank you greatly for sharing
I was trying for trout today with a spinner and ended up catching a small bass instead. I was pretty happy!
I feel like I’m one of the only ones I know who love eating trout. More so than even salmon! I’m sorry I’m killing fish but not sorry I’m eating the freshest and most delicious fish.
i like how lure companies just make a bunch of new names to sound cool and original wiggler is a crank bait
Another great and informative video! Thank you Jordan!
Awesome video! just a quick question do u have to add bait to the kcp?
I wanna see you guys make a trip to Diefenbaker lake and catch some trout there then upload a vid so I can follow your setup and catch some summer trout there. Always skunked LOL

@addictedfishing what river is that you're fishing in? I'm new to fishing and want to try learn.
I've been getting easy limits and all species with the kastmaster lately.
You ever try fishing trout with Morman crickets?
for some reason ive never had any luck with those little KCP lures. Ive trolled them without a downrigger but I mostly use them on my down rigger and have never had any luck. I wish they worked for me theyre cool little lures.
Love the vids
Buddy, correct me if I'm wrong... I know you're the expert, but I'm pretty sure that was a Kokanee you landed there at 13:18
What “action” rod would you suggest for trout fishing? Thank you for the video btw!
Ultralight to Light works well. More sensitive rods allow you to feel for the trout more, especially in moving water. Fly rods with spinning reels work exceptionally well.
Fast to moderate will do just fine
I love summer steelhead I got 3 today with a spinner on a river no one fishes right now 😂.
Im somewhat new to fishing and i havint been keeping my rod down when using a spinner i usually have it to one side or the otger kinda depending on what was the eater is flowing. Does keeping it down make a decent difference?
I’ve learned that when you get a bite trolling, instead of the pump and reel, just smoothly and slowly reel the fish in; you will lose fewer!
For the River, no bait? Just the spinner? Thanks :)
I love how your dog knows it’s a fish on! Do you feed him any trout? Dogs love fish but make sure if it’s raw it should be frozen due to parasite

I’m in Australia would this work for our summer or our winter ??
what lake is this? i would like to cruise this lake with my boat and if i don't catch fish then the scenes will make up for it
Fish on!!!
How do you know what size of lures to get? PMartin for example..
You get several different sizes, from the smallest up to the 3/8 oz size. Different conditions call for different weights and sizes. You can probably get by with just a couple of color combos… the black body/gold blade and the yellow body/silver blade.
Nice where is this
Heh Mr. Where can I purchase a large selection of Brads products online?
What are the name of the rod holders that you are using on the boat
Do you use barbless hooks?
Lmao this guy has the mic attached to his chest hair 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣
Cuz he can grow it 😂
Does anyone else on here track their catch. I keep lil fishing logs to track the air temp, surface water temp, wind, speed, bait/lure, color, scent to try and match future trips.
Very smart I have to try that
Only for out of town waters I will fish again. Local waters aren't a big investment in time or travel and I know them well.
@@wardscottcpa I started doing this a few years back for kokanee. I know a couple of my lakes well, but found the knowledge translates well to other lakes.
Theres an app called fishbrain that you can log all your catches on with all that info its pretty handy and free
What kind of fishing line do you use?
spring and fall!!!
Dam jordan u got hooked bro lol
when you say 2lbs to 6lbs for the rod selection, do you mean the casting weight or the line rating? for spinning rods in the UK we usually specify the casting weight in grams.
ps great video :)
Line rating. For reference, 2.2 lbs is about a kilogram. So a 6 lb lure would be bigger than most trout.
I'm I the only one that thinks Brad came up with the KCP looking at his daughters hair barrette?
How do you know where the thermocline is and whether it's too deep with not enough oxygen?
I always use dehook forceps for I don’t get hooked 😂 I’m a wimp

How long of a bumper should I use
What is the difference between fishing a hard bead for steelhead and fishing a corky?
The difference is one is named a corky one is a bead.

Sir... life jacket. From a retired paramedic. .
Pro tip to figure out those 10 foot increments, do it based off your boat length.
