Steve the other day I was using Jesmonite powder and by mistake I used water instead of the liquid supplied the result was impressive, whiter and strong. Please have a go and let me know if my mistake has any implications cheers
@mumskichannel9934 Oh, WOW! Now, that's intriguing! Hmmmm. Have you tried to see if it shatters mire easily (once totally dried out)? I don't have any Jesmonite...otherwise, I'd be hot footing it to my craft room!
Thank you for sharing. I do have these molds. They are great ornaments. I made mine glow in the dark. Totally cool when the lights go off on the Christmas tree.
So cute! Okay, if I ever visit England I will not be going to Big Ben or castles or anything. I will be going to the pound shop and the craft stores. 😄
Good day Steve! I'm just curious, why do you de-mold before the resin is 100% cured? Is it so you can use the mold again right away? Is it because it's already technically "cured", but you just give them extra time to really set outside of the mold? Or are there issues when letting a piece fully cure and set in the now? I wanted to add: I love watching your videos. Very informative, very cute projects! ❤
When demolding stuff like the snowflake Take some isopropyl alcohol spray it on there then pull a small section back and spray a lil inside the mold keep repeating as needed it will make a huge difference in you demolding Love your work ❤
love all the things you do .can you do a video on what to do when you cant get your resin crete out of a mole.?i have had to destroy 2 moles because of people who go from wide body to small heads.?
Love the moulds. Will using the wire work in any resin? I have some small thin ( smaller than the one you used) ones and the broke taking them out of the mould.
These are great! Perfect coincidence, I made a set of decorations with Resin Crete a couple of weeks ago. However being in the UK the JDiction sealer isn’t available yet, what would you recommend using instead please?
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Halloween is HUGE in the u.s. inside/outside decorating and costumes have become a close 3rd place tie with fall/ harvest theme following christmas, and thanksgiving being 1 & 2. It is very common for stores in the U.S. to start putting out Christmas products on shelves late August. About- a week later comes fall/harvest deco, and usually can count on finding halloween products available mid -3rd week in september. Hope- this helps. Oklahoma -U.S.A Keep up the great work!
Same here in Northern California. Endless summer. Hobby Lobby had their Xmas stuff out at the end of June. 😂 a lot of people really love Xmas that much.
@@sheilaabraham4350 that’s so crazy. I used to live in Los Angeles County (Santa Clarita) but I always thought northern Cali was cooler. It’s funny how we have preconceived notions of places. I’m in Texas, now, and this heat is ridiculous!! I drive a school bus and the paint has been bubbling off of my bus from the heat.
@@offairhead The north coast is much cooler but Sacramento is in a valley and the heat gets trapped in here. So you weren’t totally wrong. Every year the heat surprises me and I’ve never lived anywhere else. The highest I’ve seen in my lifetime was 116°. Total misery.😄
Hey Steve, is it possible to color the mold first with the marker and have it transfer over? Also for sealing I have a spray on acrylic varnish, a mod podge spray and mod podge liquid. Will any of those work by chance? Thanks for your response.

Really liking your eco resin vids, have been a bit frustrated with it/myself lately.

Appreciate your statement about color blindness. Manufacturers should mark their paints.

I hear you - if I ever go to America I'm going to hit the thrift shops!
Oh, those new colors are so pretty!
I love them, I’ve used them in a lot of projects. All my recent cards have them on now as well lol.
Those ornaments are wonderful! I really love those markers! So shiny!
Oooh getting a jump on xmas..
Thanks for reminding us
Love those colours xx
❤ LOVE the new colors! I'm so glad they are coming out with them!❤
Loving the new colours! Great video again. Thank you so much Steve ❤
I love all the great ideas you share!

I think I need those molds...
Ooh I like the thinner nibs on these new pens 😍😍

Great question. Taking it out of the mould allows the piece to fully cure much quicker.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts thank you! That makes perfect sense! ♡
Kudos to you - shout out to show the colours properly on the product xxx

Interesting project, tnx. I have 2 chrome markers and they are beautiful: gold copper and silver.
I do love those ones too
Resincrete takes the ornaments to whole level. 😊
so pretty--love the inspiration you give me!!!
Thank you. 😀
Great job mate. I think I will try this
Lovely markers! I have been making xmas ornaments from a ceramic resin and it's quite fun decorating then.
Beautiful
I love the new markers.
Oooo those r nice n so shiny
Hi Steve, can you paint them then seal? Great vid!❤
@carolynmozzone412
Seal FIRST, then paint then seal again, if you like.
Thank you!

Beautiful! Do you use mask while you pour the resin?
Love them
Hi Steve, have you thought about trying cocktail sticks for the rebar for the snowflakes?

Have you got a link to the powder you use please ❤
I really love these molds could you tell me where I can get them please.
That was 5-6 minutes I'll never get back in life😂
❤❤❤
🙌
It's always time for Christmas and Halloween!
Hey Steve do you think you could use mod podge on them if you don't have that sealer
it's H A L L O W E E N time....Halloween... come on my friend get spooooky :)🧛👻
lol. I have a lot of Halloween videos already. Halloween was never really a big thing in the U.K. so I often forget about it. 👻

Steve you forgot to colour the inside of the star. Would have finished it off better. I would colour it either gold or green
Anyone have an estimate date when the sealer will be available in the U.K.?
Do you worry about the weight of the ornaments? I'm afraid the tree boughs will sag.
Sometimes I do. That was my concern for this one and why I decided to only fill it half way 😀
👌🏻👍🏻
It always blows me away when you say that you are color blind.

They don’t cover the mould as we would like them to, but you can get a great effect. Those sprays sound like they would work on the finished pieces.
@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Thank you so much my friend! I sent you a pm on FB because it seems I can't get into the FB VIP anymore.

Maybe let the snowflakes fully cure.
The paint looks gritty on the ornaments.
