Great review love mol2 ! The new gtv bt 1 remote works great with these devices also. Only if the sheild had this I would add one to my collection which I still may, but of all my devices for now my buzz vid stick,cube and formuler z8 pro are my favorites and best devices. The nvidia shield pro is still the best box on the market but I do like these a close second

I purchased 2 of the Z10 Pro Max boxes, 1 for our living room and 1 for the bedroom to replace the Firestick 4K's we were using and I have to say that they're very nice boxes, except for the remote controls included with the Z10 and Z11. Our boxes came with 2 remotes (the standard remote you see in this video and an extra legacy remote). Both remotes on both boxes DO NOT work if not pointed directly at the boxes, DO NOT work for anything (i.e watching OTA T.V using an external outside antenna, if the boxes are turned off), & are definitely NOT user friendly in a poorly lit room. At times, it also requires pushing the button 2 or 3 times before the box responds, I believe this is due to the I.R technology.
I also found there was way too much button pushing to make your way through the MY TV app to use muscle memory for in the dark vs. Firestick all being on a lit screen. I wound up sending the bedroom box back and returning to the Firestick in that room. The remotes are my only complaint regarding these boxes, as it has very nice features and I would highly recommend Z Pro Max as long as it’s placed in a well lit room and you don’t mind having to point the remote directly at the box.
I try to leave this review as many places as possible to help others out with a real world experience, but found a certain site owned by a guy named Tr*y Po*nt who claims to give UNBIASED product reviews, actually gives VERY BIASED product reviews and deletes truthful real world ones! Be wary of his product reviews!
As for the remote, I see you are not well versed. You have an app in the store that you need to install and upgrade your remote. Then the remote works flawlessly and you don't have to point it at the TV and it picks up the signal from every possible angle (it is not noticed at all whether it is IR or BT). It is the best IR remote I have ever come across. Greeting

I have the gtv..you don't need the pro max...to be fair even the neo,alpha,SE,etc are all the same if its just for tv..
I don't see how people would use a box for anything else other than tv...why would anyone want to play games on a box..just get an xbox or PlayStation.

Just to add. I ended up using tivimate instead of the myonlinetv2 app. As I had to use a vpn for my livetv. If you use vpn on myonline tv2 it seems to effect the iptv?

I've bought a formuler box and nvidia's shield tv i compared it because i wanted the best . The shield tv was very jittery and not enjoyable for live tv vod etc. The formuler is Much better for iptv!! Hands down

I just bought the Z10 pro 4K box for 130 strictly to use for my iptv guy. Currently I am using a app on my TV and the TV guide
kinda sucks and who knows how its handling the picture performance plus buffering on a 2.4ghz wifi. How is this especially

For an iptv box for £139/usd I’d opt for buzztv xrs4500 max! More memory, better remote, buzztv5 has way more features, Ir & Bluetooth backlit.

Chigz, about your Personal Rating, as it's a 5 out 5 rating, shouldn't it follow like a 5-Star system where you could potentially have a 1/2, 1-1/2, 2-1/2, 3-1/2, or 4-1/2 star rating. Just don't understand how you get those 4.8 ratings. And can we agree that no device should get 5/5 if the device doesn't support 4K HDR from "ALL" streaming apps including Netflix.

@@goat8252 you asking me or Chigz? You got a good box in the Formuler Z8_Pro, if your main focus/streaming time is just watching IPTV. I use a variety of boxes (generic AOSP, AndroidTV, FireTV, Linux) and my favorite/best box is the FireTV Cube which I'll recommend over everything else for the under $100 price points. IMO the Z10_Pro_Max is not huge improvement to the Z8_Pro to justify an upgrade, unless your not happy with yours of course; the extra RAM and storage capacity are "nice-to-haves" but not needed if you just watch IPTV majority of the time.
I herd the Nivea shield pro is good anyone agree? I just want movies and tv shows no gaming

Waste of money, I use shield but just wait until the fire cube is £60, more powerful and 4k netflix. Tivimate is the best internet TV interface

Nice its the closest box I've seen to the nvidia shield pro 2019 model but fails with Netflix on the shield it will play 4k dolby vision dolby atmos and prime will play uhd hdr this box won't

I mean do people really still pay for Netflix lol. Formuler is specifically made for IPTV and works really well with the things you can do with it.
Will this box play my DVD backup files on my WD network storage devices like I can do with my Zidoo Z10 & Z9?
The problem is they have software problems in the EPG that the developers will not recognize. I have had these boxes for years and although they have OTA software updates there is always something broken with the box.

weird that a box like this that supports 4k not is able to get a 4k netflix running or HD it should be able to play it. i have an nvidia shield tv pro aswel but for my iptv i ordered the formuler z10 pro max 4k box because i've heard iptv works best on formuler z10 pro max i also have 1gig internet so it should work without issue then.
Exactly this is best for IPTV, if you still like watching Netflix then you need something like a fire cube why pay for a high end box for something simple like Netflix

Tivimate is great for sticks and shields,etc...but mytvonline (formuler) is absolutely a monster in comparison to tivimate.
Note: I have an nvidia shield also..Great for other things but if its just tv you want then it's formuler every day of the week
I've got the same setup, I'd be would be willing to take punt on one of these formular boxes as I only really run iptv.
Only reason I have a shield as it will out last any other android box considering the original 2015 Shield still gets updates today.

Sorry, The Fire TV devices are the best with Alexa (hands free Alexa on the cube) and at a much better price. All I buy are Fire TV devices. I've had the z10. Very basic. No Alexa.
1:22 the remote control does not have a 'Mute' button??
There are 3 hot keys at the bottom of the remote with dots on them. Any one of those 3 buttons can be assigned the mute action.

I have the formula Z10 se , if I go into the settings of kodi then I can only set kodi in full hd? I have an OLED TV, I also have an nvidia shield pro and I can set Kodi in 4K there.
Anyone have an idea why the Z10 se only goes up to full hd in kodi to set up?
And what about the Z11 pro max? Can you set Kodi in 4K?

The moment where i see an affordable full android tv box under 50 quid or so with stable 4k playback, full stable support of miracast and 4k movie streaming on netflix/amazon prime....that is when i'll consider buying an android tv box

It’s not an average box. The IPTV experience is the best of all boxes. They’re built to last with amazing technical support and updates. You can get a Chinese hockey puck box or spend the money on a rolls Royce.

If its just for tv online...nothing else comes close to the formuler...have the shield,cube,them all...but for tv..nothing comes even on the same level as the formuler
