    Thanks for doing this video and making it short and simple. I watched other videos and had to turn it off because they was telling a whole life story.

    I would have loved to have seen a walk through of how to use it.

    Takes a long time for small amounts of milk & Very very inconsistent. Sometimes heats bottles; sometimes it’s still freezing cold after waiting several minutes; I then have to start over from the beginning. By this time, my newborn is screaming! Shouldn’t take 10+min to heat a 2-4oz bottle. Disappointing since I love this brand of baby bottles. Unfortunately, I think I will need to replace the warmer

    Cam this warm 8 oz formula milk?

    • @Pressity1
      @Pressity1 2 роки тому

      Yes, but I would recommend going with a different bottle warmer if you’re not in need of a breast milk safe bottle warmer as the formula can withstand much higher temperatures, which means that most non-breastmilk-safe bottle warmers are much faster at heating formula. I have an old Avent one floating around from my second or third baby that warms super quick on the highest temperature setting, but I’ve heard that steam warmers are even faster. Steam warmers are NOT safe to use with glass bottles no matter which version of baby’s milk is in the bottle.

    Can I put a bottle of formula in there in preparation for the night feed and leave it in there until I need it e.g. 4 hours later? is it safe to do so? Will it still be warm?

      It will definitely not be warm after 4 hours.

    • @Pressity1
      @Pressity1 2 роки тому +3

      No, that is not safe. It will not be kept cool for the 4 hours until it is needed. You cannot warm ahead of time and maintain formula at that warm temperature as it will encourage bacterial growth, so the bottle/formula must be kept below 38 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerator temperature) until you are ready to feed it to baby. There is a bottle warmer (or at least there used to be, when my older kids were babies) that has two cooled chambers and a warmer in one unit so that you can keep two bottles cool at your bedside at night, ready at hand instead of dragging your sleep deprived butt to the fridge at 3am, and can just transfer a cool, pre prepared bottle from the cooler to the warmer when baby is ready to be fed. Just checked on the name of it and it’s called The First Years Night and Day Bottle Warmer System. It was discontinued but there is one left on Amazon. It can NOT be used with glass bottles! There is a new version for much cheaper that is called The First Years Night Cravings Bottle Warmer & Cooler, but I don’t know if that works as well or is made as well as the very long lived Night and Day warmer that was already around when I had my first baby way back in 2005.

      No. That's too long and encourages bacterial growth. You could get away with 2 hours only for breast milk and one hour for formula.

    Ftm here. Is it ok to warm bottle up with the nipple or the anti colic valve in?

    • @Pressity1
      @Pressity1 2 роки тому +1

      With Dr. Browns bottles you will need to remove the vent system and use a storage cap. The Dr. Browns MilkSPA in the video comes with one standard storage cap and one wide mouth cap so that you don’t have to buy any extra pieces to use the warmer with their bottles. If you don’t remove the vent system, the heat creates pressure which will force the milk up the tube and out the side holes where the air is normally sucked in to equalize the pressure in the bottle as baby drinks. It makes a big mess and wastes precious breast milk or formula. If you have the Dr. Brown’s Options bottles, those allow you to remove the vent tube alone and still attach the nipple, so those do not require the storage cap for warming despite still needing the vent removed. Just about any other bottle can be warmed “ready to feed” with the nipple on it with basically only breast milk limiting what warmers you can safely use with whatever your or your baby’s preferred type/style/brand of bottles.

    This device is a nightmare, even though we add the correct amount of water, it still Errors out. We add just a tiny bit extra to prevent the error, It still errors out.
    Not worth the $60 that we paid.

    Hi, is there a way to edit the amount of milk? We want to warm 70 mls but it seems as though you can only do the preset amounts, is that true?

      @@brandonkstarr our replacement didn’t last much longer but by then we had transitioned away from breast milk at about 1y, 2 months of age. So it went out almost perfect timing.
