      There's no airflow, CPU heatsink is blocked by the psu and wires, need to organize wires and put psu cooler facing CPU heatsink, I think it will be more efficient

      Keep at it and slowly build up your oc. the modularity is what has done the most to bring down PC part prices. Parts have almost become a commodity, while certain parts, like discrete gpu, you can buy run of the mill or top end. Buy it a piece at a time. Ryzen allows 4 generations of chips to be supported on a single motherboard, building a PC has never encountered a more exciting time! Also used parts are a good value also. You will have the computer you want, even if it takes a bit to piece together.

    You could try fllipping the psu having the psu intake facing the cpu heatsink, make sure the cpu fan is blowing towards the psu. That way. the psu acts as an exhaust and the hot air would naturallly want to rise up and out the case through the vents, aiding airflow

    • @Haris-gx5yt
      @Haris-gx5yt 6 років тому +9

      Then Psu couldnt get enough air.

    • @jackwoodhead
      @jackwoodhead 6 років тому +6

      I use this solution with my own gaming PC, and I confirm that my CPU temps are substantially lower than when I tried having my PSU face upwards (which I tested with the CPU fan both blowing and sucking). I had a couple centimeters between the CPU fan and PSU (for reference)

    • @yujenlin1197
      @yujenlin1197 6 років тому +20

      @@Haris-gx5yt that's partly the reason the cpu fan is facing the psu. Even though the air is pre-heated, quality psu are usually rated at 120C~125C operation for major heat producing components

    • @slayerbllade
      @slayerbllade 6 років тому +8

      @@jackwoodhead But you are blowing the hot air from cpu to the psu parts. Isnt that bad?

    • @sardasert
      @sardasert 6 років тому +5

      @@slayerbllade in that case cold air will enter from side will be mildly warmed through cpu heatsink then enter psu and leave from behind. When the air current is healthy neither cpu nor psu will reach dangerous temperatures. Now, the cpu fan blows through a heatsink then the hot air hits psu-wall, then doesn't get away from the area fast enough.

  • @PSCLKL

      I’m going to assemble this next week. I’m watching the video more carefully. You spent more time on the case Plastic than the M.2 slots. 😂 not sure is one M.2 slot has to be filled before the other. I only purchased one. I have a $2000 budget. I downloaded the manual to answer that.

    • @Mytwistedvoices
      @Mytwistedvoices 6 років тому

      I have built the “No Compromise ITX computer”. I followed your formula except I used a 960 Pro M.2 drive and a single 1TB 2.5” Sata drive. The build went very well and stayed inside my $2000 budget. The panel selection was the same as yours. My computer is flat black with white supports. The cooling fan grill and vandal switch are white. In addition to the LEDs on the motherboard, The new Phanteks Halos digital LED fan lighting was carefully installed. I had to disassemble the unit, discarding the black case, and glue the lighting to the translucent cover. It was then attached to the back side of the fan with screws. The Z370i comes with a 3 pin to 4 pin adapter. It works good with the Asus Sync software. I assume your audience was for experienced persons looking to build a travel sized computer. I am a first time builder and many details were missing from the video. The LZ7 is perfect and your recommendation is spot on. I look forward to gaming with it over the holidays.

    • @Raidom
      @Raidom 6 років тому

      @@roarroon1666 Right now building a pc is extremely easy, think of the components that you want/can afford, go to pcpartpicker.com add all the components to make sure they're compatible, that site tells you if some parts are incompatible, make sure to check dimensions of the graphic card, pcu cooler and psu(unless you choose the exact same ones as in the video) against the case dimensions and you could either follow this video when building or some other more detailed video.
      Pay attention to small cables/small parts when assembling a mini pc, it's much more important to start with the more annoying small cables/small parts at first, like power cables, fan cables, your drives to make sure they're managed correctly before plugging in the PSU/GPU cables because you might need to take apart your system if you forgot to plug something in.

    Enjoyed the video. Since you obviously have an interest in videography as well, can I offer a tip? If you'll use a smaller aperture on your lens, you won't have all those auto-focus issues . Your depth-of-field will be larger so you won't have the nice blurring effect we all like....but for a shot of someone assembling computer parts, you don't want any blur anyway. I would have enjoyed the video and found it less distracting if the camera hadn't been constantly fighting to focus.
    The audio was GREAT, though and it's obvious you know your stuff. Thanks for the video and I hope you don't mind the suggestion.
