I appreciate the review! I’m a local, and I was stunned. It was so empty for Ziggy (Whut?) and when he sang “Stand up”, only around 10% of the people did. The dude is singing one of his dad’s iconic songs that (literally) asks people to stand up and they just sit there? It ain’t the opera, folks! The show itself was great, but like you, the crowd was a puzzle. At one point, we made our way down to better seats (we were in 409) and we finally got to a section with nobody in it! Amazing sitelines, perfect sound…nobody. They were all corporate booths, and even though they were empty, we got the bum’s rush from some young usherette. Whatcha gonna do? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Glad overall you had a great time and such a great ticket price to boot. Always someone else around to ruin a concert, it's always so annoying. I shared this in my Community, so expect thousands of views now, ha ha! That first album of theirs is awesome, I agree. I remember the band Wet Willie! P.S. Great rant at the end, and the handicapped story is hilarious. 😄😄😄

Sounds like a cool Prine/Dead medley. Ziggy was here a few weeks back with Mavis Staples and Trombone Shorty. Glad you enjoyed yourself!

Great review. Wish I could have been at that show. What a set list! A cover of Sly’s I Want To Take You Higher! Wow!! Went to their tour page and sadly no upcoming West Coast shows but will keep my eye open in the future.
Maybe Tedeschi Trucks acted as faith healers for that guy in the wheelchair.

Sounds like a great show Glen, and that price was very reasonable. Susan had a great role model in Bonnie Raitt, who was a trailblazer. People are very entitled to say the least. Cheers.

I saw TDB a few years back with Marcus King. This band is the real deal and is a must see for any blues based fan. Now I have to agree with your about the 10%. They're usually pissed out of their minds with no regard for others because they're there to party. I can go on and on about concert goers for hours. I gave up going to rock concerts in the 70's and went to bluegrass (which they have their idiots too) but obviously came back here. Anyways - good review - my first time watching your channel and I agree with everything you had to say.

Have seen Tedeschi Trucks Band multiple times and they are, indeed, a must see. Also saw Derek with the Allman Brothers in '03 which is my "grail" concert. Being the same age as you Glen, I'm pretty selective in what I spend my money on. I would though, walk barefoot five miles over flaming coals to see TTB. If there is such a thing as reincarnation, Duane > Derek. I read Gregg stated that many a time. Cheers!

Very cool..seeing Derek with the ABB would have been killer..

@GlenKellawayfromthebasement Susan Tedeschi and her solo band opened. It was a magical evening. Everytime Derek put his hand in his pocket and pulled out the coricidin bottle, I was transported back to 1971 and the original six. Still gives me chills.

@@dennislind8411 wow..I only saw ABB once..around 1974 in Buffalo when Brothers and Sisters came out.

" I would though, walk barefoot five miles over flaming coals to see TTB." Now there's the kernel of another blues anthem -- great exaggeration!.

man so glad you enjoyed the show , sounds like a simular set list to when i saw them as you say every person on that stage are killer artists, there was no support act when we saw them so that encore was pretty cool, i usually get those assholes sit behind me at cinemas who talk all the way through the film eat loudly and repeately kick the back of your seat, i did loose it once and told them that i havent paid £12 to listen to your mouth flap now shut up and everyone cheered, didnt make any difference but releaved some tension lol, it does piss you off, the price was about £50 here to thats great value, same as its going to be for govt mule and larkin poe £33 cant complain, great review cheers glen

I was grinding my teeth at not being able to attend -- but from recordings and UA-cam I know that TTB are IT in their genre, further in fact! Even to hear Derek's slide guitar live would be terrific. However, Toronto being Toronto the Tepid is not a new story.
