Cycling on the pavement is acceptable ONLY when you are travelling at a much slower speed than on the road (avoiding unexpected pedestrians stepping out from shops, etc.), AND you are quite happy to stop dead when there are too many pedestrians approaching you. As far as I am concerned, pedestrians have the right of way on pavements; cyclists have permission to use the pavement provided they observe the two rules outlined above! The main cyclist in this clip did neither!!!!!!!!!!!!

More Uber driver history lessons for Tony. Uber cars first started in London in 2012 in the middle of Boris Johnson's time as London Mayor. Taxi drivers launched a legal challenge against Uber Taxis in 2014 while Johnson was Mayor. Two years later a European Court took away Uber's London license. In 2018 a London Judge overturned the Uber ban and put Uber on a 15 month license. In 2020 they were granted an 18 month license. In 2022 they were granted a 30 month license. Their current license is up for renewal this month. As you will have noticed Uber started in London BEFORE Sadiq was Mayor. Uber's right to run a service was challenged legally BEFORE Sadiq Khan was Mayor. Uber's license was taken away by the EUROPEAN COURT one year AFTER Sadiq Khan became Mayor. A Judge re-instated Uber when Khan had just started his third year as Mayor. Once again I have pointed out in detail that these aren't Khan's Uber drivers. @alanclarke4646 I don't mind admitting that I'm wrong if someone gives a reasoned argument where I'm wrong - you just blandly say I'm wrong without any background. The original comment was that the cyclist DID check over his shoulder when LDC was a distance away and it was difficult to see his head move. In fact LDC must have gone back over the footage and realised the cyclist DID look over his shoulder as he admitted this as an edit in the video title. So it is clear that the cyclist checked behind before moving into the middle of his lane and when he then indicated he was turning right did not need to do a FURTHER check as he was well aware of the car behind him.
I'm sorry, Tony, but you don't seem to understand. Range Rovers and German cars make their indicators out of super heavy metals that no human can lift even a tiny amount of, let alone flick it up or down with one finger. And because they had to put such an effort into actually making it move, they have to go before it defeats them and gravity takes over. Give them a break. But re the traffic light filter lights only being on your side of the road, I drive a convertible, and when the weather suits, I can have the top down and look over the windscreen. When weather is more inclement, if I'm at the front, not a hope in hell, so don't give the Audi driver a hard time. This time, he helped you out. (and no, my convertible is neither Audi, nor German). Re the mysterious accident, I'll bet 1.5 pints of Trooper beer right now that he was making a dodgy overtake and pulled in right into it.
@@johncranna9427 I experience this because I have access to two cars a full fat range rover and a smart fortwo and regularly drive through a set of lights with no Repeater set across the junction. The lack of height of the fortwo soon shows this issue.

12:55 tbf the bike is so far away from your dash cam we cant see if they indicated before and had to put their hands back down on the steering as the overtake started to happen. I had MANY a driver drive under my arm to overtake as I attempted to turn over the years. Always shoulder checked but they tend to accelerate rather than wait 5 seconds. A few times I had to quickly grab for the brake. I had a good one in the work truck this week. I was driver's mate, had to collect from a house, space is on the right so driver pulls in and stops. Scan the road ahead, clear. Check mirror/shoulder, go to open door and dive back in quickly slamming the door as some vauxall suddenly appears doing about 70 down the suburban road. Just missed me.
Analysation? Did you mean analysisi?
That's what I thought!!!

Wow....that's great. More meaningless clap trap from cranna
Oooo goody
You dont have to duck to see a traffic light if you stop a few feet further back.
I said that as well!! I think LDC realises his error there as he didn't say that I ( and you) were right!!

Like a petulant child with your posts today. Worse than normal.....(if that's possible)

@@johncranna9427 I experience this because I have access to two cars a full fat range rover and a smart fortwo and regularly drive through a set of lights with no Repeater set across the junction. The lack of height of the fortwo soon shows this issue.
9:14 👍. Forbidden to use the horn that way but we do mot make an elephant from a mosquito 🤐
Forbidden? Which road traffic law is he breaking?
@@johncranna9427 quote: How you should use your car horn. The Highway Code states that car horns should only be used to warn other road users of imminent danger and when a car is in motion - essentially as an alert system. This includes: When your car is moving, not when it's stationary.

A horn should only be used when warning someone of any danger due to another vehicle or any other kind of danger, and not to indicate your annoyance.
It is illegal to use a horn on a moving vehicle on a restricted road, basically a road that has street lights and a 30 mph limit, between the times of 11:30 p.m. and 07:00 a.m.
@@johncranna9427 I know, as being Dutch, the British road rules better then a Brit.....( I suppose you are a Brit).

You cannot expect the police force to think,
Horn at green light, once the light has gone green enough time to ingage gear and release parking brake.
3-5 seconds is the rule down here. If you hold it down longer than a bip you'll have the driver in front get out and kick your car 🤣
NO! It's an audible warning device, NOT a hurry-up device.
No it's a audible visual device giving warning to drivers of signals ahead. A bell on a clear Green signal and a horn and sunflower indication at a caution and red, in which case you must press reset button or brakes will be applied. My original question was why that company can use AWS as its initials stand for Automatic Warning System the term for the above safety system.
I drive an Audi and use my indicators when necessary.
Language language it’s not worth getting uptight about,,, most drivers of high performing foreign cars make themselves look idiots,, each time they get behind the wheel

Its hard to guage for c***s like that. Plus side, the road is f***ed so hopefully he/she blows a tyre at some point.

@@michellesimpson4364 it's happened before and here when you commented on someone perhaps thinking LDC was waiting for them, but when you go to the time stamp you give, it does not relate at all to what you are talking about.
