All I have is a squat rack and a barbell, it's good enough for the average person. But always a bit challenging getting creative on ways to get sore. This is great!
In university I when I was going for my NSCA cert, I did I short presentation on squat jumps to finish leg day. So Mike's joke about jumping at the end, was no joke at all. Keep em in the power phase, 3_5 reps all out, 2 sets. 12% difference in 8 weeks between control/ variable groups. I would not suggest weighted jumps unless you're very advanced, the landing is very dangerous.
Men, next time you tell someone you went hard on a leg day remember this video and think again if you really went that hard. This woman’s technique and tempo is goals
I’m so glad Dr. Mike is micd during these videos. If it weren’t for that we would never know all his intimate secrets! Dr. Mike - “I’ve done a lot of things with my butthole over the years..”
Seriously! I've tried varying up back squat with front squats to hit quads more but my flexibility is crap. I'm always worried about either dropping the elbows with heavy weight or I choke myself and bruise my collar bones. The exercise never feels right. I'll give that raised heel idea a shot next hypertrophy cycle for sure.
I have good mobility and am a big fan of front squats and I can tell you this; getting choked out and bruised collarbones is kinda part of the deal :P But you can defs grow them with heel elevated BS, just don't throw FS in the bin 🥺 think of the jacked and juicy upper back you could have as well as enviable quads.
@@michaelthomas1916 Do you not have the 2 safety rails on both sides of your squat rack? Just mount them slightly below your squat depth, then if you end up failing the bar only falls a bit and lands on them.
@@invertexyz yes, i have and use the safety bars. Moving them up a bit might help if I dump it. I've also seen this technique in videos of crossing the hands over the bar. I'll try that next time too.

20 years ago my bf had a high intensity super slow 5 sec positive 10 sec negative training facility. By far the most painful and taxing workout Ive ever had
I don't know what kind of elbow pain you have, but I also have elbow pain - golfer's elbow, tennis elbow, and distal bicep tendonitis in my left elbow. High-rep pump sets on the bench press using only the barbell, maybe twice a day, has been incredibly effective at healing these injuries. Pain has been reduced probably 85% after doing it for a couple weeks. I learned this from Martins Licis. I typically do 50 reps, rack it for a few seconds (like 5-10 seconds), then do 20, rack it, then 20, done. More effective than ibuprofen.
Idk what is causing yours but low bar squats were destroying my elbows until I discovered it's their fault, and not pull ups, triceps stuff and other things I thought. Switched to high bar and it went away. But it has to be too much too soon of something and you need to back of with something. Good luck!
Can you please make a one rack one workout for both push and pull. Or just one for chest and one for back. Please and thank you. Alot of people icluding myself only have a squat rack and adjustable bench and barbell with weights
