@ginnyoakley5078, thanks for the question. Not dumb at all. There are a lot of different presentations. A lot of what we choose to use is based off the forage in each location. Each body of water can be different and can change by the season as well. We have many places where minnows and smaller fish are what the perch want, and so we use chain jigs, and minnow rigs. It they are more into an insect bite, or freshwater shrimp, we like fly rigs(2 flies). If it seems to vary or we are in an unfamiliar area, we would use finesse rigs with a chain jig. To see what they want. And honestly we use the chain jig and finesse rigs(single fly rig) a lot because the chain jig can be used to get your line down quickly to help keep the school where you are and it also works as an attractor. I have seen these methods used in the Dakotas and in the Adirondacks. We also like tungstens with just a grub or two. Sometimes a tungsten with a single fly above it too. All work in both areas. We have people buy these rigs from all over the US and Canada. Lots of good reports from people enjoying using them. Hope this helps answer your question
