Nice tutorial, the original yellow jacket video was amazing as well. I’m colour space transform out colour space I only have arrow wide gamut 3 or 4 no arri alexa? Thoughts?
I love it! Am considering to buy either the OG or the 4K pocket.... Is interesting to see how much one can do with these cameras. However, a question of audio comes to mind.. I see the woman is speaking on the video, and you use the OG? as far as I understood, the sound is very bad in the OG for encoring directly into it.. How did you record the sound? I am a one man band so I cannot get a sound guy walking around to assist me right now.... How best shall one record the sound to the OG if there is like an interview as in your video here? If I understand it correctly the 4K got XLR and so one could just add a shotgun mic or a shure wireless go ll t the 4k pocket right? but what to do to get audio for the OG in a great way as a one man band? thanks for geting back, really nice video to understand DR as well!
Thank you for your comment :) actually she was talking but I didn't need the sound. I never use the OG for it's sound, except with a videomic on top :) For an interview, i'd use a lav mic on an external recorder such as a Zoom h5
ive been playing with CST nodes a lot. especially with the "film look" lots in resolve. I ALWAYS avoided them because I didnt understand the need for CST, and I didnt know the LUTS in the "film look" were specifically for "Cineon" gamma. now I use those film print emulations all the time and they look amazing. throw some super light grain and halation and it looks beautiful.
Thank you for doing this. Youre a legend🙏. Been waiting for this since you dropped yellow coat. Expecting more videos from you. Appreciate it big time. Wel explained and worth the wait.
is there a simple way to change the color of just the greens? for example i want the forest trees to look darker green then lighter yellowy....anything not involve nodes ..ugh
this was amazing, thanks for sharing. One question, is the complete Davinc necessary? I ask because when I click on effects nothing happens, I don't have the color space transform option.
most people dont burn LUTS onto the film, you cant get out of it in post. maybe you can view through them but theres no point since its a flat log anyway.
Wonderfull !!! finally a good tutorial of the original bmpcc. Do you use some ir uv cut filter ? I know that ir pollution on bmpcc go is really terrible :)
Actually in the RAW settings I only change the WB, and sometime I use the "highlight recovery" tool and that's all :) And what do you mean by "color settings" ? Don't you see it in the video ?
@@letutoreal648 no :) the actual color space settings of resolve. I think standard is " davinci yrgb" and rec709 scene. But you can obviously change that to color managed etc. I never know what im working in haha
@@DerrykSchieck Good question ! In that case it was particular because I was editing on a mac book pro M1, so the color space was rec 709-A, then rendered in rec 709 :)
Salut :) merci ! En important la LUT en question dans Première. Après je ne sais pas si on peut transformer un espace colorimétrique dans Première donc je ne garantis rien. Fais le plutôt sur Da Vinci, c'est plus simple, et c'est gratuit
This was a really cool tutorial, very easy to follow and gave great results! I am brand new to the BMPCC and color grading but have used Resolve before. Can you help explain what the purpose of applying the Color Space Transform and the LUT is? Like what is it actually doing and why?
Hi ! Thank you for your comment :) To be brief, the color space transform is there to transform the color space from one camera to another, in this case transforming the blackmagic film into an Arri log, and the LUT is just a file that contains a set of "presets". here it is therefore essential to convert the blackmagic film into Arri log, since the LUT that is applied is originally intended for Arri log files. I hope it's clear ? :)
This has to be one of the best color grading tutorial ever so far for the black magic.
Super simple and straightforward thank you very much
Wow thanks a lot for your comment 🤩
Your tutorial is simple but it works because you explain the steps you're taking. Well done!
Perfect. This is a lifesaver. Thank you sir for this short but immensely helpful tutorial.
Thank YOU for your so kind comment :)
Thank you very much for doing this tutorial. It is of great help. Simplifies the process and some good advice on the order of processes. Excellent!
Bro... this is really nice and super simple. I'm definitely trying this in the footage I've been holding on to. I'm coming to watch it again.
I'm happy if it's useful for you !
Nice tutorial, the original yellow jacket video was amazing as well.

Thoughts?
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
I Love it so mutch.

You should make a tutorial too
Thank you for doing this. Youre a legend🙏. Been waiting for this since you dropped yellow coat. Expecting more videos from you. Appreciate it big time. Wel explained and worth the wait.
Thank you very much for this incredible comment :O it's very very encouraging :)
More videos are coming ! Thanks again
génial, merci infiniment d'avoir partagé ça et pris sur ton temps pour expliqué step by step ;)
very kind of you
This is so cool. And clear. Please share your export settings too for YT and Insta. 🙏🙏🙏
Great tutorial, straightforward and shows plenty of shortcuts I did not know about. Thank you very much! I owe you a cup of coffee!
Thank you very much !
I really Love that look. Well done
Thank you :)
Salut à 1:18 quand tu met arri Alexa j'ai pas accès à ça j'ai que Arri Wide Gamut 3 ou 4 de dispo.. c'est pareil ?
Thank you! Simple and effective. I will certainly try it out.
Welcome ! 😌
Because of yellow coat, i bought a bmpcc og. Thank you Le TutoReal!
Wow, best encouraging comment ever :O thank you ! I hope you won't be disappointed :)
Great info man! Merci a lot!
I actually have that camera but I don't use it much lately.. your tuto made me wanna go and try these tricks!
Solid work, I miss my OG bmpcc
Where do you get or download the Output Color Space and Output Gamma with ARRI ALEXA and ARRI LOG C...it is not appearing in Davinci Resolve. Thanks
I just switched from Adobe to Resolve... very cool tutorial
Good choice ;) thank you !

Next video suggestion. Camera settings and how you expose the image? Thank you.
Good idea ! Thank you :)
Thanks for this, this is very helpful, brother!! 💪🏾💪🏾
good! How did you configure the color management from project settings? thanks
Why did you not use the gen 5 colour science? Sentimental reasons? Do you just like gen 1 better?
you might doing a video on your bmpcc og rig please.. thank you 🙏🏼
Why not ! Thank YOU :D
Loving the result. Would this work with s-log footage as well ?
is there a simple way to change the color of just the greens? for example i want the forest trees to look darker green then lighter yellowy....anything not involve nodes ..ugh
I think of buying one but the moire keeps me holding back to buy one.. any advice?
If i shot in S-Log 2 I cannot use the output to be ARRI’s Log-C ??
woow you are the best GOD BLESS YOU
Thank you for sharing.
The Arri Alexa colorspace is missing in my settings, any idea?
this was amazing, thanks for sharing. One question, is the complete Davinc necessary?
I ask because when I click on effects nothing happens, I don't have the color space transform option.
Actually I only use the studio version so I don't want to say something wrong :/
What accessories are you using? Your rig looks really compact.
Awesome - thank you!
Thank you Tim :)
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for your sweet comment !
Love this
Thanks for the info! Is this the free version of Resolve?
No it’s the Studio version !
Wonderful, thanks. So clear.
welcome, I'm happy that you like it !
Would it be possible and recommended to record the footage with the Arri lut while shooting (bmpcc 4k) and then only small twicks in post?
most people dont burn LUTS onto the film, you cant get out of it in post. maybe you can view through them but theres no point since its a flat log anyway.
Love the accent and your English of fine! 👍 Great tutorial
Thank you Robert :D
NICE ...REALLY I HAVE THE OG I WILL TRY THIS, you got a new SUB
Thank you ! Hope you got the result you wanted !
Very Useful. Thanks.
Do you have to use pro studio for this?
thank you very much :)
For what reason are you transforming the BMFilm to ARRI and not using the BMFilm to Rec709 LUT directly…?
Wonderfull !!! finally a good tutorial of the original bmpcc. Do you use some ir uv cut filter ? I know that ir pollution on bmpcc go is really terrible :)
Thank you ! :D No ir uv cut filter ! Only 1 ND filter and that's all :D
Thanks man u saved me a lot of time hahah I just uploaded some shots with your method its so easy but good looking thxxx :)
You're welcome ;) Wow I saw your video, your shots all look amazing :D keep creating !
why does my RAW look color graded when I import it to Davinci and my ProResLT comes looking ungraded?
will try it. thanks!
Welcome ! Enjoy :)
Simple comme bonjour !
Merci Julien :)
Thank you :)
Are you powering you bmpcc with the monitor? What's your battery solution for it?
No I'm powering it with basic Bmpcc OG batteries but I always carry 3 or 4 of them with me :)
will this have an effect on bmpcc 4k with gen 5 ?
yep
Can i also use this color grading steps with the P4K?
sure ! but the result won't be exactly the same because the pocket 4k and the bmpcc og don't have the same sensor
Nice tutorial.
Thank you :D
thanks this helps a lot .. no need of filmconvert.
No problem ;) exactly, also film convert is a very good software to get that "old" look
Gran tutorial!!
Thank you Agustin !!
Looks awesome however, I don't have Arri Alex and Arri Log C in resolve. Does anyone know where I can get these?
you ever find this out mate? having the same problem
👏👏👏👌
name song?
yoo, what are your color settings and RAW settings in resolve?
