I bought SM2 and I've fallen deeply in love with the lore. In the past month I've consumed 3 Audible novels, played about 100 hours and have Warhammer videos playing all the time. I've been decorating my rooms with Warhammer adjacent stuff my entire life, just never made the connection. Warhammer is METAL!
Group 1: “the best of the best. No one stronger” A different group: “the very best. None better” Some third group: “truly the peak, unbeatable” - literally every 40k group or faction.
I say the first 20 founding chapters got a surplus of Indomitus pattern terminator armor, first and second founding usually may have rare Tartarus or cataphracti or saturnyne pattern terminators.
When you think about it chaos terminators have to be on a whole other level than regular astartes terminators. I've got a CSM combat patrol I have to build can't wait! I love these videos!
Terminator armour is incredibly rare and difficult to make because the imperium is in a protracted and inescapable decline…..but also 100’s of thousands of Primaris marines were created and equipped somehow
YES! THIS...☝️100%‼️ There has to be a scenario where something exactly like this could happen. Maybe someone or several someone's from the Salamanders chapter (who's values more closely align with those of the Tau).
Sniff sniff, I smell heresy. Marines have been heavily hypno indoctrinated long before the Tau even existed, so thats doubtful. There are rumours some fallen and traitors have attempted normal lives. Usually as hermits and/ or farmers of some sort.
@@bootstraphan6204 One problem, remember as much as we see Astartes, their recruitment process for each new recruit, costed the lives of so many aspirants. Tau control other Tau with pheromones. Space Marines are heavily indoctrinated, immune to most poisons / diseases, and incredibly resilient to cultural influence. The only reason they fall to Chaos is Chaos attacks your Soul. Tau at worst a failed hypocritical ideology and at best very basic mind control and hormone pheromone brainwashing. Normal humans? Yeah lots end up joining the Tau; and they have been making their own Religion out of the Greater Good- and because human souls burn brightly in the Warp it is likely the Greater Good might actually become a real deity. Which would not make the Tau happy.
Dark Mechanicum can be bargained with. High ranking warband members probably loot tech from raids thats useful to the Mechanicum but not them. This would be useful for trading to get terminator armor or other equipment made or repaired. Also lets not forget how much ammo and guns they get from looting and defeating enemies. Overall I feel like aren't in a great position for logistics but that's why chaos is very selective when it attacks.
In the olde lore, they were small Dreadnaughts. Wounded marines were put in them and sent on suicide missions, such as heavily irradiated or toxic places. They were already as good as dead and were allowed a warrior's death.

That’s not true at all. Primaris still use terminator armor. First born are not the only ones who use terminator armor. First born marines would be physically to small to fit modern terminator armor. That being said there are first born and Primaris that use the same terminator armor. They are slightly modified for the users size. Stop being a terminator gate keeper because you hate Primaris.
I have to say, Space wolfs are the most cringe legion/chapter in whole 30/40k. They give me the wolf cringe. :) now, dont get me wrong. Im not against them existing in the lore. VIII

I started watching 40k lore videos and now I listen to them at my job and watch them on my days off. This is turning into an addiction.

Assault marines would be interesting, especially the raven guards. They had the in a book i read and they seem to have alot of lore behind them.
Using manufacturing technology from the Mechanicus, I was able to construct some fine terminator armor from photopolymer resin.
Ah yes someone else who keeps confusing "stl" and "stc"

I dry aged this A5 waygyu in the Warp for 100 days and, uh, it grew tentacles and attacked my nephew Angel. The umami flavor was amazing.
I am curious about the stories of Astartes that have given up on war and try to live normal lives in obscurity or joined the Tau.

How about Terminator armor of Dorns own Black Templars ?
Imperial Terminators are better thou... Just more and better armor.

"unstoppable" until they meet a tyranid

How do chaos marines repair and replace equipment without a bunch of mechanicus hanging around?

Its technically dreadnaught armour because its made out of Adamantium not Ceramite.
In the olde lore, they were small Dreadnaughts. Wounded marines were put in them and sent on suicide missions, such as heavily irradiated or toxic places. They were already as good as dead and were allowed a warrior's death.
Didn't they make new Terminator models for the Leviathan set that stand taller than the old ones so they didn't look dumb next to the Primaris?
Yep, and I absolutely love their look! One such Brother stands vigil on my work desk, helps keep the machine spirit of my keyboard in line.
Are obliterators daemon possessed terminators?
Chaos marines are space marines just with “corrupted” in front of all nouns and edgy boy drivel RP fluff. They’re cringe.
Aka dreadnought light armor
But blood angels are stronger and quicker somehow

Red butchers?
But a terminator is not a dreadnought
