It would be cool to hear you speak on more Heroscape manufacturing aspects, especially from the original run of the game. Thank for another insightful video. I’m definitely keeping my old and new terrain separate as much as possible. Perhaps I’ll mark the under side somehow.

I feel bad for anyone who bought 2, 3, or more copies of unpainted sets because they were more interested in terrain than the figures.

With my many many many old tiles, I did notice that, once in a while, some pieces (standard piece, not special terrain) did stick together very tightly. Never checked on plastic deformation but maybe there's something there.

Well as an Elder player I have so much old land that I am not even going to use the new stuff, and that even for me is a bit disappointing. I was looking forward to land I didn't have to worry about snapping. But hey all my old stuff is ink washed on the sides and has 1 painted spot on the bottom so even upside-down i know if it is grass or rock. I also noticed if you want to tell an old tile from the new shine a flashlight through it WOW!!! Tho this could be used for some cool effects you will notice how thin the new tiles are even the paint lol.

Agreed. With the much higher prices, I expect much more out of the quality of the product. If I was paying $40-60 (maybe even $100) for a painted master set, I can expect and be ok with some paint flaws (or tile flaws). But when I’m paying way more than that, I expect something that is finished and in premium quality

The model of the 24hex looks incomplete to me. Like Avalon was inprogess with design when they did a hand off and the people at renegade that took over are either not qualified or didnt care to do an in depth analysis. Look at the straight edges on the top side of the tile, it looks like something from thingiverse before people started doing scans. Maybe they were pushed to get it to maket and not inflate the design budget i dont know. But they really need to put some one who cares in charge of the managment of this project. Or if that someone is already there then let them make the changes that need to be made to qualify as premium product. I want new heroscape to succeed.

I hooked up one of my 5-hex road pieces (the bridge piece) to the long side of a new 24-hex and it stressed it so bad it split into a 2 and 3-hec luece.
I've found that all 24, 7, and 2-hex pieces appear to have excessive stress, whule 3 and q hex parts (including water) are fine.

Are you sending the tiles back to the company for replacement? Does the company know? Are they doing anything about it?

Do you think connecting the old with the new will hurt the old terrain?
