In my opinion Asterius was the most badass character of S3.
Mf was able to knock out a bunch of adventurers without even attacking them and in the LN he was so strong that some of the higher ranked adventurers were terrified by him the only one that he knew he can't defeat one on one is ottar and is just glad that he was able to meet such strong person
Also the strongest xenos
Keep in mind that this Minotaur is supposedly the same level as the strongest adventurer in Orario... which is Ottar.

@@BobjoeIII No. Asterius' strength is on par with Ottar. But Asterius admits he's no match for Ottar. Because Asterius lacks the experience and techniques that Ottar has.
Bell speculates that Lyd is more powerful than Phryne Jamil the Fugly Toad who was one of the strongest Level Fives in DanMachi.
In LN states, ottar is more powerful than asterius. They same at level 7 but ottar still can win if they fight one by one. The reason why asterius can win in this multi battle because he have Magic Axe.
The LN didn’t state the exact lvl it said he was estimated to be lvl 7 imo he would have beat ais if she didn’t catch him off guard
Strongest as ottar's official level. The big boaz man himself is actually close to being level 8 in all but name because of his monstrous stats and asterius's power is at the level of a fresh level 7.

Interesting thing to note. Bell is Zeus's grandson (though by adoption as far as we know). Asterius is the quite clearly the very same minotaur from the Minoan legend, seeing as he's got the same name and is literally walking through Daedalus' labyrinth. Asterius is the son of Pasiphaë, wife of King Minos, and a white bull gifted to him by Poseidon. King Minos is a son of Zeus, making Zeus Asterius' grandfather in-law. So arguably Zeus is a grandfather to both of them.
We can take this a bit further and draw some direct blood ties. Firstly Pasiphaë, Asterius' mother, is the daughter of Helios, god of the sun, and cousin of Zeus and Poseidon. At the same time he might also be the actual son of Poseidon. We know that when Zeus abducted Europa, mother of King Minos, he did so in the form of a bull. So it's not that unlikely that the bull that was gifted by Poseidon that ended up fathering Asterius was actually just Poseidon. Now something else of note is that Bell is seemingly destined to fight with Asterius, they both seem to feel this. Theseus is the one who kills Asterius in the legends, so it's quite likely that is who Bell truly is. Theseus is the son of Poseidon, which might be why we never get to know who his father is, and why his uncle, Zeus, is still taking care of him. So it's actually possible that they're brothers (if you believe that Poseidon was the bull), though at the very least, if Bell is Theseus then Asterius is his second cousin once removed. They're actually a little closer than this as there are a lot of brother-sister relations in there which our current system of naming doesn't account for.

Danmachi is the one of the series that make me interested in anime, it is also one of the first series, i watched... Still waiting for its next season release

same. i liked the atmosphere of the setting and the variety of characters, uniqueness of the system and the dungeon lore and the quest.
The One in the Manga Sword Oratoria is so much better at depicting emotions. Ais actually snaps in there.

But snaps when Asterius takes down Bete Loga, Tione Hiryute and Tiona Hiryute. Because she something that she can fight. Before Asterius took them down. Asterius took out the lower members of the Loki Familia with a single swing of his fist. When they were standing over the other Xenos like they were something.
So Ais is basically having a mental breakdown. Finn sends her in anyway. Just for their stupid reputation.

Finn is actually one of the characters i hate the most. Dude is 42 yrs old and looks like a kid from elementary and is overconfident in most scenarios. I would love to see his ass kicked someday.
Wtf is with all these cringe ass comments hating on the Loki Familia. Asterius is super strong, which is part of why the fact they had no major injuries and forced a retreat is about expected. Is there some reason people hate them cause I see no reason to.

@ZeniV2 asterius didn't fight all the executives at once, and riveria, who is the family's damage dealer, couldn't do anything since she was on the surface and would destroy the city if she fired off anything with any real power behind it.
@ZeniV2 Plus, the author just hands the loki familia free wins at time's because he desperately wants them to be relevant both in the story and power scale wise.

I find it pretty impressive that Asterius matched Ais AFTER losing his arm. If he'd had both arms, he probably would've killed her one on one.

This is why you read the books..
Asterius was gravely wounded fighting loki Familia. He also was constantly being attacked by adventurers. When he was fighting Bell, he was in a really bad state.
Bell had his Status updated after fighting Ais. He was a Level 3 with SSS stats.
@@h.z1793 yes he was serious with the Loki familia. Which is why he stomped them so easily. Then he was badly wounded by Ais.
By the time he got to Bell which was his real goal Bell had a status update with sss stats. And Asterius didn't go all out against Bell from the start. He was in a very bad state. If Bell fought Asterius before he was badly wounded and Asterius was at full power it wouldn't have been close. Don't forget that the Loki familia is stronger than Bell at this point. Tione, Tiona, Bete, Ais are all stronger than Bell.

Asterius was going all out against Bell Cranel. But because he was still very badly hurt from the Loki Familia and from other Adventurers. During episode 10.
So what Asterius did was go all out. With whatever he had left. Bell admits that if Asterius did not have those injuries. He wouldn't have lasted for as long as he did. That's why Bell does not accept any praise for his fight against Asterius. That and plus he lost anyway.

Nah, asterius easy target for Ais who have light speed attack (since his body big). But later Ais defeated after know her sword already in bad condition (so basically her sword already become poor condition after battle with asterius).
Aiz's needs to or else She'll receive a deadly injury. As you can see Asterius took down Bete, and the twins easily
