Good video that will be a good cheap choice if you do not have a course with mountains, but I prefer the 2-speed gearbox with 370 from WPL

this 260 gearbox with a 280 motor stuck in it might surprise ya, the MN D90 here with all the added weight didn't have enough power with a 260, slipped in a 280 and its really strong climbing. the Fayee rims have 16 turns 2 mm solder up front, 16 turns 1 mm solder in rear, metal axle casings, metal drive shafts, oil filled shocks.. is a LOT of extra added weight to the D90 that's heavy to start with.

I agree with Model Nutty. It's a good strong little unit. It come as standard on MN 99's etc and now on the WPL D12. With electronics upgrade it can be quite impressive. 👍👍 (And it's cheap! Hahahaha)......

yupyup! can also swap the 260 with a two dollar 280 motor for "beast mode".
its about 15-20% more rpm with about 70% more torque than the 260 motor,
recommend especially if its a 6x6, run time increases for it a little because the larger motor consumes less current than a 260 motor that works harder to make less torque.
just like jumping from a 130 to a 180 motor, same for a 260 to 280, its all just bigger. be careful moving the pinion from the 260 to the 280, you don't want to damage any teeth.

@@theminiatureconstructionco4556 eBay grabbed 4 of those 280 motors 2 bucks each, one into my VERY overweight MN D-90, it doesn't struggle at all... its on Fayee rims+tires with 16 turns 2 mm solder on the front, 16 turns 1 mm solder to the rears. then add metal axle casings, metal drive shafts, oil filled shocks, its pretty heavy! I know a 280 would give power to spare for a 6x6 same way.
