Beautiful lady, had all the qualities, style & character sadly missing in 99% of today's 'stars' - thanks to film, though, she'll never be forgotten !. Forever 'Mary Bailey' !!!!

I feel sad for Donna Reed, she was so beautiful innocent and talented, Its a Wonderful Life was an absolute masterpiece, but apparently Jimmy Stewart blamed her for the movie doing badly at the box office, this broke my heart, it must have broken hers too. She then went on to win an Oscar Award

      Why would I blame her?

I have heard that, too. I wonder how well Jimmy and Donna got along on set while making this film. Their onscreen chemistry contributed so much to making this movie the great classic it is. I could not imagine anyone else playing those roles. I hope that Jimmy later apologized to Donna for putting the film's initial failure on her shoulders, especially once it became so beloved in reruns. Jimmy Stewart always seemed liked such a nice, considerate man in interviews. I would like to think that he patched things up with Donna. Anyway, here's to George and Mary Bailey!

I am honored to share the same namesake Donna Reed with her. I watched the Donna Reed show as a young girl and was thrilled to tell children in my neighborhood that I was Donna Reed! Enjoyed watching her in all her movies and shows throughout the years.
I am now an “old” lady still watching Its A Wonderful Life every December! What a treat. ❤️

There's a secret that men do not tell..even each other. When Donna Reed was on the screen, she was the most beautiful woman in the world. Forget Taylor, Gardner, and Monroe. Donna took us completely over the side. It's our secret that we don't tell our girlfriends, or our wives. To see her in another extraordinary film, watch her in John Ford's They Were Expendable. She'll take your heart and give it back to you wide open and ecstatic. Here's to the one, and only, Donna Reed.

I only wish Donna Reed would have lived longer but am grateful she was around to see her movie, "It's A Wonderful Life" become a classic holiday tradition.
But lest us not forget her other cinema roles and unforgettable TV show that bears her name.
She seemed like a wonderful, caring and classic lady - terribly missed in our increasingly fast-paced and egocentric society.

A beauty and a class act. Few actresses today can compare. Here we are, 70 years later and what man wouldn't want "Mary" as his gal. Brains, beauty, grit, gumption and that girl next door sexiness. Sad to say, but far too many "bitches" in today's society need to study Donna to discover what it means to be a woman. The telephone scene? Too romantic!! Rare on the screen today.

What a waste that "It's A Wonderful Life" was underrated and they blamed her in order to unburden their own insecurities, opting to convict a young woman who was comparatively naive. Of course the haunting mental state after war is not something one could understand without experiencing it but the choices made by frustration usually result in regret as in here. They could've worked together again, in "The Stratton Story", since Stewart and Reed were getting on well with each other on set. This situation as a whole is an example of the fact that time and chance are unredeemable things... Her speech carries subtle satire delivered with such grace, a lot to learn from it...
