Many thanks to the ATAA for their tremendous efforts to bring this great event to life and all organizations for their contribution to the program.
Kilim weaving, our beautiful traditional art is fascinating for the community members to learn about.
We’ve been holding the kilim weaving workshop at our annual International Children’s Day, Multicultural Art and Dance Festival since 2012, a-full-day event which runs during the week of April 23rd where over 1500 diverse community members and their children join; and at the Culture Days” and “Asian Heritage Programs that the Toronto Library branches are organizing for the community members.
We are very grateful for the tremendous hard work and support of our volunteers, experts who train volunteers to teach at the workshops, others who prepare the weaving kits for our participants to take home.
