    John was one of the best. Clean jokes by the standards of the time, no agenda, no politics, no real anger. It was a good day when you turned on the TV in time to catch one of his shows.

      But every one was a riot. Guy was under talented. actually took a break from standup to do a musical on Broadway.

    Besides being such a funny and talented comedian, the reason I loved John was you can tell he genuinely LOVED his fans. He loved to make people laugh.

    My wife and I absolutely *LOVED* John Pinette. I was going to buy us tickets to a show the next time he came near our place. Then sadly, he passed. This man was treasure. RIP John. May you make all buffets in Heaven go out of business lol

    John was definitely one of a kind. It's really something how audiences warm up to him with his feigned innocence alternating with seething rage at the absurdity of life. How ironic that he died after losing about 100 lbs.

      When you weigh 400 pounds and take off 100 pounds not going to make a difference. The stress on the heart damage is already done. i'm overweight and should learn that being overweight is not going to increase my life span. It seem's that men who are obese die younger then obese woman.

      @@eldoabrahamson Come on, that wasn’t necessary. And by the way, his weight had directly nothing to do with the death cause. Obesity is one of many risk factors for pulmonary embolism but it isn’t like it’s a certain cause.

    I was truly blessed to get to see him live, and i nearly cried the entire time... only time I ever heard him drop the F bomb. He also passed away on my birthday, but instead of being sad, I watch a couple of his clips every birthday.

      Lucille Ball passed away on my birthday, but Carol Burnett was born the same day April 26th! Two really funny red heads. John was soooo hilarious. Great memory yo got to see him live!

      @@codyaucoin3412 A trip I planned with friends got cancelled one year around Easter. I decided to find where he was playing. I ended up in a club in Des Moines. Had never been there before or since. Funniest man ever. I really miss him too.

    John Pinette was a great comedian. Everything he said was hilarious, and he was never vulgar. I still watch his chinese, japanese and indian buffets bits and laugh. It’s still hilarious when he imitates the restaurant owners. RIP John Pinette.

    He's right, I went hiking with some friends and all they did for miles was stare at the ground in front of them so they could hike fast. We got to our destination, then immediately turned around and went back the same way staring at the ground and hiking quickly. This was in beautiful mountain scenery. I haven't gone with them again.

    One day a friend of mine told me his mother had tickets to see John Pinette live. He knew I liked him as I had bought his first album, "Show Me the Buffet," (and played it for my friend introducing him to John as well). They had an extra ticket and asked if I wanted to join them. I said yes so freaking fast. Best night ever. I laughed so hard I was having trouble breathing. RIP big guy. You are missed.

    One of my favorite comedians. I’ve seen him twice in concert. Always made me laugh til I cried. Plus he could pull it off so brilliantly without using foul language. I was really sad when I read about his passing in People magazine. Kind of a cheap shot when they did just a little mention of his passing rather than a cover story on this award winning comedian.

    Skating? Should have said Nay-Nay. I love how his whole bit wraps around and finishes off the first joke. Genius.
    My friend and I had tickets to see his show just a couple of months after he died. It was very disappointing that we never got the chance to see him live. One of the best. I am really glad he will have such a legacy here.

    A very distinguishing factors that is noticeable is that he is really funny with little to no curse words. I don't have a problem with them and I use them too but never thought someone could be so funny without them!

    I know a good number of people that kayak and honestly, none of them are very popular, so at 5:51 I about fell on the floor DYING of laughter! I can't wait to share John's wisdom with them the next time the subject of kayaking comes up!

    I worked in a 4 person department in South Africa. John brought productivity to a stand still that day back in 2012. We were laughing so hard people were coming in to check on us.

    A friend of mine and I went to see John Pinette at a comedy club on Boylston Street in September 1992 and he was hilarious, especially when he did an impression of Alvin and the Chipmunks!
