It’s crazy he’s still relevant so many years later. I found his comedy back in 2005. Sadly he died but a few days ago UA-cam recommended his videos. It was so nice to watch him again.
Miss you John... I can never enter a buffet without whispering " You be here four hour, you scare my wife!" under my breath when I walk through the door.
The first time He played Thunder Bay it was on his birthday, & at the end of the show just before a cake was brought out I stood up & started screaming Happy Birthday To You (the looks i got from the people around me was hilarious) I was 3rd row left of center stage.. He looked over at me & smiled... and then his cake was wheeled out and the Stage crew & the rest of the audience started singing as well. That's my most favorite memory of him. He was honestly someone special.
My mother's favorite comedian! I have so many memories of my mother recounting Pinette's bits. Often she'd simply shriek "I SAID NAY NAY!" in a conversation. She's a very quiet and smooth-speaking woman, very opposed to cursing or insults. I think she really appreciated his ability to shriek and holler without being crude or upsetting. He never failed to put a smile on our faces.

Jon Pinette died on April 5, 2014, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 50. Pinette's personal doctor signed off on his cause of death as pulmonary embolism. Although some say it was wheat and anything that had gluten which was EVERYTHING even tho his blood work was GOOD and blood pressure was 112 over 70. He often snow skied with friends and was often seen flying into car parks having slid down waterpark slides shooting off the end high in the sky like Fwee Willy. Mostly he exercised regularly at Vegas buffets.
This is so important for me to say. .. John I adore you!! Losing my father 2 years ago and I have been taking care of my mom who has dementia. The last couple years have been really tough and getting worse because I have no help and I’m here seven days a week 24 hours a day . You came into my life again and now every morning with my coffee, I watch you.! You make me laugh and make me forget about my depression. God bless you ,I love you and you look fab. ❤ Never stop John , keep it up . Trust me, I’m not the only one who spirits you lift 🙏
I am so sorry for the unrelenting aspect of your life with poor Mom. Bless your heart. The cheer this man brings is so good. Who knows how long his blood pressure would've stayed good if he had just left well enough alone. This weight looked good. He looked sad and too thin before his passing.
God bless you. I went thru the same thing with my mother and every day I would do it again just to have her back. It was so hard and I do know what you're going thru. The hardest part is how hard it is for them. My Mom used to cry every time the phone rang because she couldn't remember how to answer it or hang up. It made me cry. I would explain it to her every time, some times as many as 6 times a day. And of course the grandkids and great grandkids don't think to visit after all they tell themselves she won't even remember if I was there or not. But they have times where they do remember and you feel their pain. And then they're gone. And you find all the presents for all the kids that never came, and you didn't even know they were there. Theyve been there a long time and the kids are all grown up now and all you can do is hold them , feel their pain and cry. The worse is my mom got really bad during the pandemic and no matter how I tried to explain it she just didn't understand why she couldn't go anywhere. She thought it just didn't want her to go anywhere. And to make it worse she lost her sight. She used to love to paint so she lost that too. God I miss her. I know it's hard but when they're gone and you no longer have them with you, it's even harder. When it gets bad just remind yourself how hard it is for them. Then give them a smile and a hug, and thank God for every minute you have left with them. ❤️❤️
I just wanted to say I had no help either. It was just me 24/7 7 days a week. I have 2 brothers but they never once helped unless it was to help themselves to her things, most times without even asking. They haven't spoken to me since she passed. Even had her take out a reverse. Mortgage they never repair just so they would take the house I've lived in for 50 years and helped her pay off so I'd be homeless. So besides having to leave my home it's just as hard to go thru her things. I miss her so much. I lost my dad in 89. So it's just me, my dog and my cat. Wonder if I can find a cardboard box big enough for the 3 of us 🤔

Love this guy. I grew up in this era of comedians. It was a day when there was no such thing as people getting offended. It was a better day to live in America 🇺🇸
Not to call ya out direct, but what a load of bs. People been offended by shit other say since we left the trees and said something. George Carlin had his 7 words, now they got different ones is all.
I saw John live 3 times and was physically ill each time I left from laughing so hard. My wife thinks I am crazy as she always hears him on my phone... I miss ya John!!!!
When you go to buffets and stand in line, do you ever hear yourself thinking of the lines JP would be saying? Have you ever actually seen some people standing around possibly blocking the line from moving while they’re looking at the tables of food, then suddenly hear yourself saying, “Get Out Of The Way” 😁
Had the pleasure of meeting this fine man when he performed with Kathleen Madigan-what a sweetheart!! So, very missed. Watching his clips-til this day and no plans of stopping.
I absolutely love John's comedy routine! He had me laughing until I was in tears. RIP John, you were, and still are a beautiful light that brightens these sometimes dark days. You are missed.
I got the rare treat seeing John play Edna Turnblad in Hairspray on Broadway. His gifts were extraordinary - I wish he had been in more films and Television.
R.I.P. What a fantastic entertainer mimic and comedian,Just going away to have haggis and a scotch egg. Sadly missed. All the best to you and yours from Scotland. rab❤
2020 and this man is what we need. A wonderfully funny human being that proved you don't need to mean to others to be funny. R.I.P. Mr. Pinette, you were taken too soon.
I’ll say! I miss his humour! I think he’d be sad that a lot of these buffets are closing. We’ve lost the Epic Buffet - inside the casino and another by the mall however that has just recently changed hands and is now an Asian Buffet place so I suppose he can do his “You been here 4 hour” skit. Spouse and I need to eat there sometime. I don’t suppose they serve beer?
I was fortunate enough to see John perform at the alladin theater in Portland around 1997. My friend got a autographed poster from him. Absolutely the best
"Raviolis And A Nap!", "Raviolis And A Nap"! Haha that line never gets old from John Pinette, also the water slide story and the "GET OUT OF THE LINE!" RIP John.
My one regret in life is I'll never get to see him in person. I've watched his comedy so many times and I still laugh out loud. I'll keep the love of food and comedy alive for you, John! Rest in peace
Shut the fuck up dude. Foul language. What a moronic sentiment. Some words absolutely should be offensive. But words like fuck or shit? Stop being a fuckin snowflake
@@laika_vtlinguistically swearing can devalue jokes depending on the comedian and contents. They serve as filler words and cast an undertone of aggression that wouldn’t suit John’s style of relatable humour and friendly self-deprecation.
@@gimblesfan4lyfe swearing also denotes emotion, intonation, and intensity. Someone clearly only has a high school education and is trying to push their religious propaganda on people lol
God I LOVE John Pinette I never laughed so hard at a comedy show without any dirty stories in them. What a talent, its a shame he had to go so young. RIP John!
How is it possible that I am sixty two and just found out about him? No network tv shows? clean act had me rolling! and he's gone! not fair! life sucks!
Me too. I just discovered him about eight months ago and have watched every UA-cam video I could find. I have never laughed so hard. And I just watched the series finale of Seinfeld and lo and behold John was the person that the four of them refused to help in the final episode. I think he was hysterical and I wish he was still around to make more videos. So sad that he died young.
Have you been constantly researching comedians? Or do you look them up on UA-cam every six years or so? There are a lot of them out there, you know. And of course life is unfair. I hope you didn't come to that realization when you typed your message.
I love how all the comments are us saying how much he made us laugh and how much we wish he was still here. I'll never get sick of any of his material. Definitely my favorite
Exactly how I feel. I remember when he came on the scene. I just can't stop laughing. He was so natural and so talented. I can't think of anyone I liked more in comedy, even Robin Williams (also RIP.)
It's a damn shame he died so early, We lost a great comedian and a real joy to the world. It was a sad day when we lost such a wonderful person on that day. RIP John, We miss you dearly.
I had never heard of this man before! Aside from being shocked to the core for NOW finally seeing this brilliant talent, am SAD to hear he's passed!!!!!!! After reading a lot of these comments, JOHN PINETTE moved a tremendous lot of you!!!! HE is the real deal for giving the audience a clean and devastating jolt of comedy beyond anything my 66 years has witnessed. Clean, relevant, relatable, and the expressions, John could give Jonathan Winters a good run. Excuse me now, as I am ready to watch another of his performances!!
There is the odd one, but you're right he was never offensive. I discovered his shows after he passed away. I saw clips from Just for Laughs, but had no idea he had longer specials. This is great stuff. We lost another great one too soon.
He only cussed in one bit that I saw. But it was hilarious anyway. Especially in context of being a big boy. If you wanna hear it look up John Pinette meat recall!
I saw him on Tv some 20 years ago. Loved his act. Immediatly fell in love with his comedic antidotes. Didn't get his name. This is the second time ever seeing him. Sorry to hear of his passing. I have been telling his Chinese buffet story for so long and never had a name to put to its credit. Thanks John. RIP
Heard him many years ago on an XM satellite comedy channel. Pretty much immediately became my favorite comic. Was truly saddened when he passed away at such a young age. RIP John, Godspeed!
John Pinette moved right up the comedy ladder in Boston to headliner status in the 80s straight away, to the envy of open-mikers like me who did it for for years without getting a break. There was a distinct comedy hierarchy and most couldn't just walk into having a show like that. Louis C.K. was another fast riser there.
His jokes are so relatable. Watch his shorts and vids many times now and still funny as heck! Nay-nay and Get out of the line! are my favorite saying from him now. His comedy is ageless! 😊😂😂😂
...And Jam Tracks For All I know what you mean. I never watch 40 mins of comedy normally. This guy is the exception just too good turn off I bet heaven is rolling in the aisles with him there. R I P John

We lost one of the great ones with his passing. He will be sorely missed.
Sadly, yes we did & the world changed after we lost his light! Agreed.
Oh my gosh I didn't know he passed away 😢 RIP funny man.
What a blessing on earth for the time he was with us.
Miss him so much. A lovely man. Always delightful.
John Pinette is one of the best
The world need more of this guy. The world might be a better place to live for all of us.
"You know what has gluten in it? EVERYTHING! EVERY REASON TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING!"
I felt that. And it's true lol.
One thousand dislikes? Hard to believe, must be some real insecure people! This guy is just plain funny, no cussing and still A joy to watch❤️
nah... just means one thousand people laughed so hard they couldn't keep their hand steady and pushed the wrong button
The thousand dislikes. Are from the national buffet owners association. Is likely what John would say. RIP
I agree! And I am breaking out my Martha Stewart Chestnut Roasting Pans...
Well now you can’t see em
Maybe because the video is only 240p. But it's from 2013, so you need to be reasonable.
Where is this guy been my whole life
I saw John live 3 times and was physically ill each time I left from laughing so hard. My wife thinks I am crazy as she always hears him on my phone... I miss ya John!!!!
Ive watched "I'm Still Hungry" a dozen times, and I still find my self laughing. He's the Best.
When you go to buffets and stand in line, do you ever hear yourself thinking of the lines JP would be saying? Have you ever actually seen some people standing around possibly blocking the line from moving while they’re looking at the tables of food, then suddenly hear yourself saying, “Get Out Of The Way” 😁
Me too he's hysterical
Had the pleasure of meeting this fine man when he performed with Kathleen Madigan-what a sweetheart!! So, very missed. Watching his clips-til this day and no plans of stopping.
Man sucks that you passed away at such a young age, I just started watching your comedy in 2023 and I love your stuff, May you rest in peace
I came across his UA-cam shorts, had to get his full show.Very funny guy.
😂😂😂😂 me too.. and im glad i did...
John Pinette was born to do comedy. He is one of the all time greats.
Great observational comedy. Dairy Queen, McDonald's, Starbucks, etc...
Wish he was still with us.
I absolutely love John's comedy routine! He had me laughing until I was in tears. RIP John, you were, and still are a beautiful light that brightens these sometimes dark days. You are missed.

wtf
I simply want to cry at the end of every excellent performance John does. I didn't know you John, but I love you man... and I love your comedy. R.I.P.
Just found him and listening he does swear doesn't get sex all involved he is just funny
All the best to you and yours from Scotland. rab❤
John Pinette must have them rolling in Heaven. He was hilarious, absolutely gifted.
No calories in heaven.
2020 and this man is what we need. A wonderfully funny human being that proved you don't need to mean to others to be funny. R.I.P. Mr. Pinette, you were taken too soon.
We need 2020!? Do you like COVID-19!??
@@TheBlockyDeerno no no he said it in 2020
I can watch him over and over. Shame he passed so young.R.I.P. JOHN.
Same here.😄
My one regret in life is I'll never get to see him in person. I've watched his comedy so many times and I still laugh out loud. I'll keep the love of food and comedy alive for you, John! Rest in peace
this guy was hilarious and never used foul language. wish there were more like him today.
It's really sad the he's gone now.....he was funny as Hell...!!
"Life is precious, and we have to make the most of it. And I don't have time for useless things."
excellent quote. RIP
Lynohue😮😢
God I LOVE John Pinette I never laughed so hard at a comedy show without any dirty stories in them. What a talent, its a shame he had to go so young. RIP John!
Breezy 1994 Me too. My sides hurt laughing so hard. Then.. I found out he passed away and I cried and laughed at the same time. I adored him
50 is not young. 50 is borrowed time .
Rare treat, no swearing.
@@bungiesnowflake what a bizarre thing to say. In this century dying at 50 is absolute dying young. My grandmother is 102.
His clips still makes me laugh. He had such a unique and really funny way at looking at things. I miss him.
best godfather impersonation. I love watching these videos. He was, is and always will be a legend.
😮😅.
Yes he will be. Wonderful talent gone soon .
Comedians like John are a treasure
Its rare form to get an audience of people to laugh and applaud with facial expressions alone. I miss this guy. :(
This guy is comedic gold. He was the best there wasn't anything he couldn't do.
He sends pictures to the mind and elevates the soul! A comic legend for all times!
I love this man’s facial expressions.
How is it possible that I am sixty two and just found out about him? No network tv shows? clean act had me rolling! and he's gone! not fair! life sucks!
gone way to soon = sad
You have to see his other stand-ups. But you can't find everything like last time. "I'm Starving" -> This one is the best of all. Trust me.
Have you been constantly researching comedians? Or do you look them up on UA-cam every six years or so? There are a lot of them out there, you know. And of course life is unfair. I hope you didn't come to that realization when you typed your message.
I've seen many of his videos multiple times and still laugh every time. It's very sad he's gone, but he left us a great legacy of laughter.
I am 75 I just heard of him,he is amazing!Bless his soul!🌹😇💡
I had never heard of this man before! Aside from being shocked to the core for NOW finally seeing this brilliant talent, am SAD to hear he's passed!!!!!!! After reading a lot of these comments, JOHN PINETTE moved a tremendous lot of you!!!! HE is the real deal for giving the audience a clean and devastating jolt of comedy beyond anything my 66 years has witnessed. Clean, relevant, relatable, and the expressions, John could give Jonathan Winters a good run. Excuse me now, as I am ready to watch another of his performances!!
I loved this guy... He proved that cussing isnt necessary to be a great comedian.
agree agree agree.
He did cuss in his earlier version but I think he was testing out the market but I don't think he wanted to anyhow
Patricia Harold He has made light racist jokes but meh
I saw him on Tv some 20 years ago. Loved his act. Immediatly fell in love with his comedic antidotes. Didn't get his name. This is the second time ever seeing him. Sorry to hear of his passing. I have been telling his Chinese buffet story for so long and never had a name to put to its credit. Thanks John. RIP
Heard him many years ago on an XM satellite comedy channel. Pretty much immediately became my favorite comic. Was truly saddened when he passed away at such a young age. RIP John, Godspeed!
His impersonations of Charles Laughton in Hunchback and Marlon Brando in Godfather are superb
John Pinette is probably one the funniest man to ever live if not hes for sure a hall of famer
His jokes are so relatable. Watch his shorts and vids many times now and still funny as heck! Nay-nay and Get out of the line! are my favorite saying from him now. His comedy is ageless! 😊😂😂😂
Such a funny and beautiful man. RIP John. You will forever be a legend
I never sit here and watch 40 minutes of comedy but this guy was too funny to turn off.
...And Jam Tracks For All I watch , rewatch andrewatch again and its always funny .
I went to a comedy club once in Tampa, FL & i got to see him live & he performed for over an hour & he was hilarious
same here
...And Jam Tracks For All I know what you mean. I never watch 40 mins of comedy normally. This guy is the exception just too good turn off I bet heaven is rolling in the aisles with him there. R I P John
Michael Naisbitt R.I.P. One of the funniest ever
