Tbh it's even funnier when Ryunosuke says stuff right to the character's faces and he doesn't realize he's not thinking it. He insults Barok a LOT right in front of him. And then Ryunosuke is like "oops, I didn't know he could hear me" xD
It’s also explained in the actual cases the reason people seem to be able to read Ryunosuke’s thoughts is because his facial expressions easily gives him away. Apparently Ryunosuke’s face is an open book lol. Added with this DLC case he seems to actually blurt or murmur his thoughts out loud which is hilarious. No filter indeed.
Also Asugi has cursed him for real. Ine century later Payne (Auchi's descendant then) never defeated Phoenix (the great geat grandson of Ryuunosuke) XD
I don't think it happened because there is a minor yet important contradiction in the dialog in the beginning. DGS2 spolier! . . . . . . Asougi mentions that he has to say goodbye to the Asougi household, but in DGS2 case 4, Yuujin Mikotoba mentions that "Kazuma had no family, so I took him in", meaning that there is no way he would say goodbye to the family house unless he means he visited the family's graves, but that isn't implied.
I know Kazuma's Objection and Pursuit themes are just his main themes, but I absolutely love that they used it, unlike most Objection/Pursuit themes that go for a "we must chase down the truth and reveal it" Kazuma's themes sound more akin to "I understand the truth now, and it's okay, so there's no reason to hide anymore." In short, they're fantastic and I love it

This is probably the most ridiculous DLC trial to date in DGS as well as in history of Ace Attorney. Capcom really went all out huh (I was having soo much fun lmao)

While its so sad that we didnt get this extra case in chronicles, i can totaly see why they didnt want to localize this one. It all revolves around Japanese culture that is not well known in the western world like the topknot and the last kanji of a name being slightly different... it still wouldve been really fun if we got this extra case, but it indeed wouldnt have worked as well as it does in japanese. For us a whole second part of a name being different wouldve just been too obvious
I see the reason why this case wasn't feature in TGAA. It's hard to localize this case. Especially the kanji differential part. My opinion is they can rewrote the part or make the photo into a 3d evidence. which they can use examination mechanics to explain the different on the kanji name. Which both path was a hell of a pain to the dev-localize team, I guess?

Naruhodo[u] apparently had difficulties due to his name being one letter too long... In the English version, that last U doesn't exist, so that issue wouldn't exist. Must be why this case never came to America.
they didn't localise it because of legal problems. in japan this was a limited edition case, just like the side that takes place in the old bailey, so they just couldn't. if they could've had, i suppose they would've found a way to change the text and adapt it to the english language, just like they did with the tongue twister escapade and, in the main serie, with maggey's name, 須々木。
i can't believe this was the only dgs case and all we got was funny interactions between kazuma, ryuu, and susato. and then the study abroad trip went off without a hitch! (i am holding back tears)

@@pollo4210 yeah, i thought the same thing too. In fact i thought Ryunosuke is younger than susato or at least the same age as her but, turns out he's older than her and Susato's appearance is like in 20s.
I think it's the same age difference as Phoenix and Maya. That's probably what they went with: a parallel. Phoenix is 24 in game 1 and Maya was 16. So, Ryunosuke and Kazuma are 23-24 while Susato is 16.
Its a shame this mini-case doesn't seem to be a part of the Switch release of the GAA games as far as I know. I don't see the other case posted to the channel. Will that every come?

There's actually another reason and that's because of legal problems.
Capcom labeled this case as a "limited time exclusive" when they first release it. So in Japan, they're legally not allowed to resell it.

In fact i thought Ryunosuke is younger than susato or at least the same age as her but, turns out he's older than her and Susato's appearance is like in 20s.
I think it's the same age difference as Phoenix and Maya. That's probably what they went with: a parallel. Phoenix is 24 in game 1 and Maya was 16.
So, Ryunosuke and Kazuma are 23-24 while Susato is 16.
