Been recommending the star rail Departure Fes concert for months now 😅
the knave, arlecchino, ,leader and ' father' of the House of the Hearth, the fourth of fatui harbingers and the new weekly boss as well, she was already shown almost 1.5 year ago in a genshin demo thing called : Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night's Lazzo | Genshin Impact . Btw, she is so far the only weekly boss that completely destroy us in the boss fight, i mean in the story, traveller stands no chance even having a 4v1, the only weekly boss we lost to. We have won the eleventh, childe, the eighth, la signora and the sixth scaramouche of fatui harbingers. The ranking of harbingers are followed by their power, cant imagin how we can win the third - columbina, second - Il Dottore , first- Il Capitano and the leader Pierro and the cyro archon Tsaritsa.

On that point of people calling you bad at Genshin, unfortunately many people in the community love to harass people for how they play the game. It's really sad, and you should be able to play however you like. Please don't feel afraid to play in your own time to skip past the more dull parts people often don't want to watch anyway.

Yeah, it really irks me that people are telling him he's bad at the Genshin. Everyone has a preferred playing/fighting style and no one respects that. Hell, I would probably be hounded for the fact that my Diluc uses The Bell and has for years now if I streamed GI.

I'm kinda hoping you'll at some point be willing to do separate streams dedicated to playing through the stories of genshin and star rail, focusing just on that like you would with an anime, without the expectation of playing the rest of the game, and vice versa when you do streams for gameplay. From what you've said, I feel like it could improve your experience with both parts of the games.

I'd mostly want Luke to watch a Genshin Impact gameplay guide. He's really misinteriting what people mean by "bad" he can use skills and avoid attacks but that's not the gameplay of genshin. It's combining elements for most amount of DPS possible. It's a stat game.

Hey Luke, I have a recommendation!
I’m actually really shocked by this, but I realized last week after starting to play the game that you’ve only reacted to ONE thing from Reverse: 1999 and that was Vertin’s EP song (which you really liked).
I HIGHLY recommend you check out the version trailers and the nice thing is the game’s UA-cam channel has a playlist of them. I think you’d really like them. The game has OUTSTANDING music and voice acting (mostly in British English) and the story is very fascinating. There are character trailers as well, but I think the version trailers would be a good starting point.
I would to see you're reaction to all character ultamites. Maybe it'll give you some idea of what the gameplay is like as well. If you search "Honkai: Star Rail All Character Ultimates (1.0 - 2.1)", you'll find a good video that has the most recent characters and their ultimate attacks
If you want recommendations then 1 big thing that dropped is Arlecchino's boss theme.
And when your done with that and there isn't really anything hsr to watch you can go back to watching the honkai impact pv trailers. Hsr started popping off right after the did part 1 of it, so it's understandable that you forgot about it, but it's about time you picked it up again.
I understand your thing with gameplay vs story. I for one really love and am invested in the Genshin Impact story and lore, so I enjoy that part of the game, but I also understand that doing a quest is a bigger time commitment, like you said. It helps to break up the questing with exploration, events, bosses, domains and such. I think if you pace yourself with the questing you may find it more doable than trying to push through to catch up with the current content. Also rushing the story can result in missing details and then feeling lost, which could also contribute to frustration or lack of investment. But also, if its just not your kind of game, thats also ok!

You wanted recommendations for star rail. There is the new "Concert animated commercial: Before the show starts" also i think you didn't watch the "Robin x Colors Collab make up advert" video.
The only downside is them being short. You might also watch "Keeping up with star rail" as they explain characters kit (gameplay) and they have funny interactions between Owlbert (one of the star rail mascots) and the characters.

Oh yeah the first half of this update was crazy. Arlecchino story quest was peak and closest a character quest brought me to tears since Raiden Shogun.
Also Daddy Arlecchino is God tier dps. Like literal solo hype fest. Her kit matches her presentation as being on par with gods.

Following the Arlecchino content last week and in this patch trailer, perhaps check out her boss music? Here's a link to a good version of it. I'll share a link in the replies because it's blocking my comment otherwise. On the note of Genshin's gameplay, every character has unique skills that work together in particular ways. I found it overwhelming at first and it literally took me about a year to a year and a half of playing to fully digest everything, because I'm not particularly a fan of games with varied builds, randomized stats, and "rotations."

And on the topic of is Arlecchino good/fun the answer is yes! She's fun(and fast) to play, doesn't need a huge amount of setup/investment and she's one of the strongest DPS atm
Haha imo the difference in your Genshin vs Elden Ring gameplay comes down to actively learning the games systems.
Elden Ring combat is relatively simple or at least you pretty much see what you get by trying it out..
But since you seem to really not like reading in games, you're missing a lot of mechanics in Genshin (reactions are just part of that). If you want to actually utilize the combat in Genshin, you gotta go into the menu and read the characters talents (skills), passives etc. and put together properly buffed and/or reaction teams.
E.g. when you do trial runs, you go in hit things to see the animations etc. and judge them on only that - even when the purpose of a character is to simply use and ability and then swap out.
You can't really guess (most) characters mechanics by just hitting things in Genshin.
It's not a lot to read for each character, but of course starting out there are a lot of characters.

Well for my recommendation i think we need a reation to our devilish deva Nerissa's new original song "Say my Name". Also dont worry Luke i think your doing fine with Genshin you dont need to min max like the other tryhards as long as your having fun.
Ignore all the downers in the genshin community. You will learn all the element reactions combat eventually at your own pace. It took me months and months to finally wanna learn how elemental reactions work properly, and I was at ar50+ with Razor as my main from the beginning. So take your time and have fun. That said, I'm really ashamed of that part of the genshin community, the ones that put the new players down, the loud ones. I hope you can look past them. I am all for you to enjoy yourself in genshin!

elden ring stories and lore are in the items descriptions, not really on the gameplay that's why 4 hours of gameplay is actually good enough. but, genshin gameplay are full on story and lot's of micro managing on artifacts and knowledge of elements, timing, and party management. that's why if you play just mashing buttons on genshin, people always says it's not good enough. it's actually an okay thing, we were supposed to learn it bits by bits. even i play it badly at first and just randomly mashing buttons, but the more i learn how to play from guides on internet, and started to micromanage my teams and artifact that's where i know how bad i am before.

React to the new genshin MV please!!! Its amaxing stuff. Also, genshin story is very dialogue heavy so personaly, i play it in like 2 hr chunks so i dont know if that would work for you. Also, genshin mostly has lots of mechanics and the reason most people think that you are bad is mostly coz you dont make use of them. But either way, it doesnt matter if you kill everything in the game so dont worry about it.

Maybe he's in the Liyue Region part that's why there's a lot of boring texts & long dialogues, with no combat part on most parts except for the ending part. But if he manages to finish the part 1 Mondstadt, & part 2 Liyue....the pacing of the story will get more faster & better in art 3 which is Inazuma, with more combat missions & hype stories. Especially when he get to part 4 Sumeru & part 5 Fontaine.
if I remember well, on his last Genshin stream he talked to Dainsleif for the first time and stopped around the beginning of We will be reunited quest so I would say the worst part is over 😂
10% story, !!50%!! SPIRAL ABYSS, 20% exploring, , 10% farming materials, and 10% building characters might be the best mix for you then There are some JP streamers who also only streams Genshin's combat+world explore, while most of the story stuff done off-stream (sometimes they read, sometimes they skip)

Not gonna lie, Arleccino is very much OP. She is used in a lot of teams. She can use a lot of weapons and still be only like 10-15% less strong, she is also very fun to play, and I would say pretty skill based, well, as far as genshin can go with that, but only if you don't use any shields, so get good at dodging. Neuvillet is just broken af, Big damage, a lot of hp, self heal, very, and I mean very, Big aoe, so yea. He's just basically at least 2 steps ahead of any other character rn

Arlecchino is very basic, in quite the literal sense. Skill marks enemies in melee aoe. After 5 seconds you charge attack to consume the mark and it super buffs your basic attack with pyro infusion. Simply put just skill, team rotation, CA into NA spam. Rinse and repeat. You will just spam lots of basic attacks.
Yeah, Arlecchino is pretty OP and fast-paced. She applies a DoT with her skill, then absorbs it with her charged attack, and so long as that status is on her past a certain percentage, her damage SKYROCKETS. It's a pretty fun playstyle!
On a totally different note, I don't think I've ever seen Arknights among any of the gaming content you react to, but they recently put out a beautiful short anime music video, created by the same team who did the Fate/Grand Order Memorial Video that you reacted to a while back! The people calling you bad at the game are those that pretty much only look at the damage numbers you're getting and comparing it to their own damage or the giga whales that have played since launch.
That's the thing with hoyo games is that whenever you're doing the story it will mostly be reading and some combat every now and then culminate in a big boss fight.
You said in genshin everything is dark and everyones dying, and in star rail everyones having fun.

As for what to react to, i'm curious, do u like Jazz music? couse last friday after the 2.3 livestream they did a big jazz concert called S.P.A.R.K.L.E ~Sandman Peeps As Rhythm Keeps LIVE EVENT, its a 43 min relaxed concert thats ideal if u want to relax while doing stuff in stream or so.
Also! this week there will be a Honkai Star Rail concert here on youtube so don't miss it!
Another thing u could do is go back to Honkai impact 3rd and do all the version trailers, couse there are ALOT so plenty of material for multible videos.
the game had a new update last week as well so just go with what works for u.

Okay... sorry for commenting twice but I have to say this.
Hoyo games are very story-centric. If you don't like that aspect of Genshin, you will probably be bored out of your mind playing Honkai Star Rail.
Genshin actually offers much more in terms of exploration and fighting gameplay, whereas Honkai is more about building the characters and let them fight for you. The battle system is turn-based, where you merely choose between basic atk and skill during the character's turn and use the burst when it's charged and/or you need to. Character building is actually REALLY complex, but after they're built, the gameplay is very straightforward.
In addition to that, the exploration in Honkai is limited to exploring certain small areas. The overall map is big enough, but the limitations will bother you A LOT if you're used to games such as Genshin and Elden Ring.
Honestly, if what you want is action and exploration rather than story and worldbuilding, Honkai Star Rail is not the game for you.
EDIT: Just wanted add that I love Honkai. The world building is fantastic, the main story is really cool, and the characters are amazing. But after years playing games like Genshin and Zelda, the exploration aspect feels really, really restrictive.

Arlecchino is fun and hits hard, but newer players won't be able to level her fully and increase talents unless they go unlock the necessary domains and some of Fontaine
Don't let backseating bacome a norm in your genshin streams, put a stop to it if people ere being toxic or just telling you that "you are playing wrong" or suck at the game.
PS: Genshin has that issue, a lot of talking, usually really slow, and repeating information constantly, or saying things that don't matter. There is so much filler, and you can't skip any of it, it struggles to find a balance of engaging story and gameplay, which is a shame because it is filled with interesting characters and the world lore is awesome, but there is so much meaningless fluff text that you are forced to sit through, and as a streamer, if you skip it, people will be sad or dissapointed or angry. I've seen a lot of "Why are you even playing then?" or "Don't play if you don't like it" when people criticize these aspects, but to me these come from me wanting to love the game, but the game making it hard for me. From quality of life changes, better rewards and a better balance of story and combat sections, I think a lot could be done to make the game more enjoyable for everyone. Especially for busy people who can't just play the game for like 5~8 hours every day
