I’ll be honest with you Luke, you sound like a steins gate fan, we all weren’t sure if we truly enjoyed steins gate but “maybe I should watch it again”
he watched it too early. We needed to let him watch a couple more beginner anime before he tackled it. However, Thats also why he might benefit from giving it a second shot
With the way his memory works and him thinking things through he’s prob better off continuing to watch konusuba, I’ve seen him get troubled a lot with remembering many of the scenarios of overlord and most of the time many people had to correct him about earlier episodes because of how forgetful he tends to get. Steins gate is a good choice imo if you follow it through and through, only problem is that he tends to look at everything over just one thing.

Luke talking about Bunny Girl Senpai's character dialogue being the very best just makes me want to see him watch the Monogatari series. Based off what he said about Bunnygirl, he would love Monogatari.
Yeah I'd love to watch a reaction to the Monogatari series. It's my absolute favourite anime and has the most well written dialogue out of any anime I know. However there are a lot of "sus" elements that might put him off from watching it.
Also, there's a lot of fast text that's shown in a single frame that might be hard to catch during recording or streaming. I mean, when I watched Monogatari, I HAD to pause, rewind a couple of seconds, stop at the exact frame and read all that or I'd get all nervous.
@@davguev technically you can go without doing that, as they didn't expect people to be doing that while it first aired on TV in Japan. If you can be bothered it's worth it though.
18:03 That is the cruelest choice of this video for me, asking me to pick between EGOIST, which was my first ever introduction to Japanese music and anime, or Violet Evergarden's OP which is in my top 3 of all time
3:37 "i love hunter hunter so much that when i finish it, if it keeps being as awesome as it is, i reckon it could be my number one" well the next arc that you are going to watch is chimera arc soooooo.... enjoy the ride
Bro, when they did Naruto - Sign vs FMA - Rain that was so tough for me. I went back and re-watched it and dude, Sign was peak Naruto op (amazing song, visuals, and themes) during peak Naruto plot (Pain arc). Just hands down for me.
7:45-8:00 When you asked about Haikyuu and Kuroko no Basket and if they are good, I would say yes both are quite good sports animes and both animes are done by Production I.G. I would say Haikyuu is a great if not one of the best beginners sports animes because of it's world building and it reflects the actual world of volleyball very well which is why it's most peoples choice for their first ever sports anime. Kuroko no Basket, which is about basketball is a bit more flashy and colourful than its Haikyuu counterpart but still a good watch nonetheless. I'll leave a list down below of some other sports animes that can be a great watch as well as which sport they are and which year they FIRST started airing. -Haikyuu (2014-Volleyball) -Blue Lock (2022-Football/Soccer) -Kuroko no Basket (2012-Basketball) -Diamond no Ace (2013-Baseball) -Hajime no Ippo (2000-Boxing) -Slam Dunk (1993-Basketball)
I prefer my sports anime with a bit of spice if possible, so I prefer Kuroko over Haikyuu. Your list has some gaps in it, so I'll fill those for you: - Major (2004-Baseball) [my 2nd favourite baseball anime, with Touch being 1st, but that one is more of a romance with baseball setting] - Initial D (1998-Racing) [goat of racing anime] - Baby Steps (2014-Tennis) [best tennis anime out there, though Prince of Tennis is not bad with it's insanity] - Yowamushi Pedal (2013-Cycling) [Over Drive was ok, but this is the peak of cycling anime for sure] - Eyeshield 21 (2005-American Football] [everything I know about American football came from this show]
Yes, Kuroko's Basketball is VERY good, and that's coming from someone who hates sports. NO. Mob Choir, a band made of the Mob Psycho 100 production crew, did all Mob Psycho 100 openings. Godtier band. Thank you for saying 91 Days deserves more love. It does.
I mean, more than half of Luke's choices were biased for what anime he watched. That's why I like Nicholas more. He chooses better sounding song despite what he watched. But for anime episode reactions Luke's better.
@@Ghoul_da Yes, definitely, he has recent bias toward those anime that he haved watched . Also , only few seconds are not enough for him to judge , this is not fair ,because he can't almost remember most anime openings he haved heard . The craziest thing is that he can't even remember Rumbling and Sasageyo only based on the visuals .Not blaming about the video , but I think Luke should listen few more times of anime openings until he can remember melody of most openings just in few seconds like Nicholas.
6:28 That is why we are telling you that you don't know openings! You can't differentiate without song, visuals are important. Yes, that is 100% Rumbling- SiM but you don't get it. 9:56 Confirmation 10:30 It shouldn't be song battle, it should be opening battle. 12:20 But he knows who performers are here. Good job.
18:11 it is not Sawano it is band Egoist that was made for this anime as inuniverse band and after thatcontinued to make songs, openings and etc till they disbanded in 2023
Here are my 5 + 2 classic recommendations for your next OP & ED reactions: 1. (2004) Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha OP & ED (with 5 series, 4 movies and 2 games; OPs & some movie EDs sung by that era's anisong queen: Mizuki Nana) 2. (2000) Vandread OP & ED (fire retro 90s/00s songs)(check out the EDs for cheekiness) 3. (2011) Horizon in the middle of Nowhere OP & ED 4. (2018) Yuru Camp OP & ED 5. (2003) Chrono Crusade OP & ED Special mention: (2008) Macross Frontier ED & insert (esp the EDs like "Diamond Crevasse" & "Northern Cross" are a MUST! and their longer forms!, Ao no Ether, Yousei) classic 1. (2000) Inuyasha OP & ED 2. (1996) Rurouni Kenshin (the 1996 series) OP & ED
Funny seeing TK v TK and AKFG v AKFG XD. Thought this would keep cycling until there was only one left I agreed with your picks about 50% but the only one I remember right now is I would've picked Evangelion over Gurren Lagaan. Overall favorite in this list is hard to say but I think I'd have landed on Signal (91 Days) or The Rumbling (AOT), however if they had used Souvenir from Spy x Family instead that would take it XD.
I still holding out hope for a "Bunny Girl Senpai" main show dub since they started dubbing the movies. Though CR could pull a "Sound Euphonium" and only dub the movies for whatever reason.
Kuroko no Basket (the anime where you choose Haikyuu's OP) is definitely worth watching if you ever feel like going into team sports anime rabbit hole. I'd imagine Kuroko and Haikyuu are THE two team sports anime to watch
Luke please react to Sentai Daishikkaku (Go! Go! Loser Ranger). The Op and ED are bangers. The Op singed by Tatsuya Kitani (JJK S2 op1) The show is amazing, but incredibly underrated because of Disney+.
16:00 you want a romance/drama anime with very realistic scenes and dialogue? I highly suggest "Tsuki ga Kirei". Extremely underrated anime and one of my most favorite romance of all time. A certified hidden gem!
It's criminal how 86 is almost always left out of most anime lists ! hopefully it gets the love it deserves. It's risen to my favorite of all times and I can't find a new anime that beats it for me !
You are getting so many anime openings without seeing the name. Look at you go! Since you are reacting to compilation lists you are now getting them soaked in to your memory due to repetition since these lists tend to have the most popular openings. Will still be hard on ones you have only heard once though.
macross, do you remember love? (1984) - do you remember love? cats eye(1983)- cats eye touch(1985) op - touch City hunter(1987) ED - get wild magic knight rayearth (1995) op - yozurenai negai + fafner in the azure(2004) op - Shangri-La air(2005) op - tori no uta sousei no aquarion(2005) OP - genesis of aquarion bokurano (2007) op - uninstall
Personally when someone says opening and not opening song I always think of both the visuals and the music together. Same as how people usually mean the short version openings with the animation when ask for a reaction and not the full music only version. On the other hand, I agree with quite a bit of choices or at least can understand why something else was chosen without seeing the anime or the opening. This was actually a pretty good list.
6:22 aye bro that’s unfair, how you gonna look up the AOT opening and not the Tokyo revengers opening??? “I don’t remember it (TR op 1) so I’m picking spy x family” “Hold up what is AOT opening 7?” The math ain’t mathin’ 10:32 -_- again? And I picked demon slayer too. 13:10 that’s what I’m talking about! That’s why got games is the mvp! That’s why he’s the goat the 🐐!
10:00 i think you need to rewatch a bunch of openings, because they literally show visuals from these openings. From visuals alone you should be able to remeber song.
There's nothing remotely sus about the Monogatari series. No Sir. Nothing at all. And as all the other comments point to, it is the king of dialogue (and I love Bunny Girl Senpai).
I really like it that you pick the openings song-wise. I'd do that too. My picks that differ from yours: Death Note > Code Geass DBZ > One Piece DB GT > InuYasha Tokyo Revenger > Spy X Family Re: Zero > Overlord (sorry, not a MYTH & ROID fan) Zom 100 > Mashle (I know, cancel me) Wotakoi > Paripi Koumei Angel Beats! > Charlotte Apothecary Diaries > Frieren Beastars > Death Parade (but it's so so close!) Steins;Gate > Re: Zero (okay, maybe a little bit of series bias here) Psycho-Pass > 91 Days
If you want to react to an old school anime OP (it came out in 1989, its 35th anniversary!), try this one: ua-cam.com/video/7WHPT-zE1hI/v-deo.html The anime is "Bio-booster Armor Guyver", the song is "Kyoushoku Soukou Guyver" and it's sung by Ishihara Shinichi. Guyver is a cult classic in Japan and overseas. The manga is still on-going since it started in 1985. It has OVAs, anime series, anime movies, and it's also had 2 live action movies made by Americans. If you want to see the 2005 remake OP of Guyver, you can find it here: OP: ua-cam.com/video/N2XiiDsPwjQ/v-deo.html (Song: "Waiting For..." | Singer: Yo Reiri)
You should do the tournament types. Someone from discord can make one for you and it's more interactive than just reacting to the video. It shows you the opening video and you choose between the two and there are stages, until 1 wins.
I am going to tell you again that since you are so impressed with the writing and dialogue in Bunny Girl Senpai that you need to watch March Comes in Like a Lion, Spice and Wolf, and Monogatari. All three shows have incredible dialogue and banter and are just generally really well written. I agree that Bunny Girl has great dialogue and characters, but all three of those are on another level. The Spice and Wolf remake that just started airing has been incredibly good so far, so if you want to watch something as it is airing that would be a great option.
Luke really needs to start doing some single season anime. People need to start recommending them. Maybe consider recommending a pair of single season anime. Luke could do them back to back. So this would make it easier for him to plan and schedule. Plus Luke would get more anime titles under his belt. Think of all the great single season anime that exist. It's reasonable for Luke to split up his reaction time to allow for single season anime. But this will never happen if the community doesn't ask for it! Let the single season anime drought end! Do your part request single season anime. Be open to other peoples single season requests. After all, it's better to get Luke to react to ANY single season at this point. Consider pairing your single season anime. Maybe consider a theme and recommend a pair from that theme. If you want Luke to react to some single season anime please consider liking this post! Numbers matter to Luke. He will respond if enough of us ask!
15:52 if you have seen and liked bunny girl senpai, especially for the reasons you listed, then you HAVE TO watch the monogatari series. It's same genre but better in every aspect. You don't necessarily have to react to it you can also enjoy it off stream
I love the matchups on the video! Pitting songs with the same vibe, or same genre series, same performers for some of them even, and same type (Solo Leveling and Tower of God are both shows adapted from manhwa whose songs are sung by kpop groups) - I think it's a good way to match each with another. I picked songs depending on which song gets my imagination going lol. Not sure if you could relate but I end up thinking of scenarios in my head whenever I listen to a song and when I chose in this list, I picked ones that made me think of stuff. Please react to the Inuyasha OPs/EDs - there's a lot and they're all good! You always see the first one on lists like this but all of it's other OPs are great, too. Also, listen to the OP and EDs of the old Hunter x Hunter anime as well? They're also good and you could even compare the two adaptations based on art if you're into that.
I mean it's the same as forgetting Konosuba and Eminence in shadow were Comedy animes too. He said something about having seen Love is war and Dress up Darling for the comedy, without mentioning the others 💀
Luke, fun fact: Jujutsu Kaisen 3 opening is a top opening for Nicholas and he chose it in a second, you - vice versa :D Same with Re:Zero/Overlord openings (and he hates Solo leveling op btw :D)

PUT YO HANDS UP! Fire Force (Enen no Shouboutai) since the video only lists it as fire force for both english and "japanese" for some reason K-On Food Wars did play it a second time just to see, i did sing along to both, but the "KIMI NO SEI" just make you want to shout it instead of hum along, so bunny girl senpai i dont think we have to say it buuut Oshi no Ko SAO Guilty Crown (as much as i hate the show, forget if i watched this show before clannad...) Dororo (dont know either of these shows, but sound alone) its non-cannon in the series, but on this list it wins, DragonBall GT Re:Zero wins this time, to make up for its earlier loss, dont care what its up aga-DAMNIT Steins;Gate! Wait... you didnt react to Seraph of the end OP and ED? This HAVE to change! Also if you ever find the time to rewatch Steins;Gate do it on your own time. Or you can alternatively do a VN playthrough on twitch at some point
I need more people to react to the Decade Animash - A mashup of 100+ anime openings by static symphony that Nic reacted to a few months ago. A bunch of anime openings in one video but mixed and tuned to flow between each other for the whole video and it's just too good to be true yet it is. It needs to be appreciated more
Just curious how backed up is your list of reactions you're going to do like how do you know that reaction you're going to do next. I requested some songs a while ago, and I'm just wondering how long it will take to get there if you don't mind.
I can understand doing anime openings just as songs. I don't do it that way, but I get it. For me an opening is a whole package, and for me music is about emotion, so I can't just detach myself from the emotion the anime adds to that song, even if it means creating an unfair advantage for songs of anime I haven't watched. Your way is definitely more fair, but I'd argue it's also less genuine because it's trying so hard to be fair.

3:37 "i love hunter hunter so much that when i finish it, if it keeps being as awesome as it is, i reckon it could be my number one" well the next arc that you are going to watch is chimera arc soooooo.... enjoy the ride
The number of times where Luke and I both said "there's only one choice" and then pick the opposite is ridiculous.
-Haikyuu (2014-Volleyball)
-Blue Lock (2022-Football/Soccer)
-Kuroko no Basket (2012-Basketball)
-Diamond no Ace (2013-Baseball)
-Hajime no Ippo (2000-Boxing)
-Slam Dunk (1993-Basketball)
I prefer my sports anime with a bit of spice if possible, so I prefer Kuroko over Haikyuu.
Your list has some gaps in it, so I'll fill those for you:
- Major (2004-Baseball) [my 2nd favourite baseball anime, with Touch being 1st, but that one is more of a romance with baseball setting]
- Initial D (1998-Racing) [goat of racing anime]
- Baby Steps (2014-Tennis) [best tennis anime out there, though Prince of Tennis is not bad with it's insanity]
- Yowamushi Pedal (2013-Cycling) [Over Drive was ok, but this is the peak of cycling anime for sure]
- Eyeshield 21 (2005-American Football] [everything I know about American football came from this show]
91 days opening is hella underrated
The "Horimiya" OP 100% sounds like it's sung by Toru's dub VA (Zeno Robinson), but it's not.
It does.
Frieren over The Apothecary Diaries is crazy ngl
@@Ghoul_daBoth are good in their own ways. I like both the anime bias and the song bias.
You'll are CRAZY. He likes Frieren song better is there something wrong with it????

21:25 Yousei Teikoku vs Ali Project , my two favourite Japanese bands against each other
Why would you use that section of "Blend-S" OP?!?! And not the very beginning that is the meme!!🤣
"Smile, Sweet, Sister, Sadistic, Surprise, Service"
6:28 That is why we are telling you that you don't know openings! You can't differentiate without song, visuals are important. Yes, that is 100% Rumbling- SiM but you don't get it. 9:56 Confirmation
10:30 It shouldn't be song battle, it should be opening battle.
12:20 But he knows who performers are here. Good job.
12:54 oh cool. This video has betrayal in it too. Great job Luke! I'll just sit over her with my broken heart~
😂
18:11 it is not Sawano it is band Egoist that was made for this anime as inuniverse band and after thatcontinued to make songs, openings and etc till they disbanded in 2023
that was so fun to watch omg im excited for ur anime quiz soon
Here are my 5 + 2 classic recommendations for your next OP & ED reactions:
1. (2004) Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha OP & ED (with 5 series, 4 movies and 2 games; OPs & some movie EDs sung by that era's anisong queen: Mizuki Nana)
2. (2000) Vandread OP & ED (fire retro 90s/00s songs)(check out the EDs for cheekiness)
3. (2011) Horizon in the middle of Nowhere OP & ED
4. (2018) Yuru Camp OP & ED
5. (2003) Chrono Crusade OP & ED
Special mention: (2008) Macross Frontier ED & insert (esp the EDs like "Diamond Crevasse" & "Northern Cross" are a MUST! and their longer forms!, Ao no Ether, Yousei)
classic
1. (2000) Inuyasha OP & ED
2. (1996) Rurouni Kenshin (the 1996 series) OP & ED
Luke, today you really seemed knowledgeable about the openings. I'm so proud of you.
Funny seeing TK v TK and AKFG v AKFG XD.
Thought this would keep cycling until there was only one left
I agreed with your picks about 50% but the only one I remember right now is I would've picked Evangelion over Gurren Lagaan.
Im pretty sure Luke hasn't reacted to the Bakuman Ops. They are fantastic, and the show was written by the same authors that made Death Note!
Bakuman endings are also great.
@@razna18 the one from Tommy heavenly6
Kuroko no Basket (the anime where you choose Haikyuu's OP) is definitely worth watching if you ever feel like going into team sports anime rabbit hole. I'd imagine Kuroko and Haikyuu are THE two team sports anime to watch
8:00 Kuroko no Basket i a great anime
Luke please react to Sentai Daishikkaku (Go! Go! Loser Ranger). The Op and ED are bangers.
The Op singed by Tatsuya Kitani (JJK S2 op1)
The show is amazing, but incredibly underrated because of Disney+.
20:30 and for once, Sawano did the opening and ending of Owari no Seraph XD you reacted to them in a group op/ed reaction ;)
Nice openings:
The Misfit of Demon King Academy
The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat
Black Summoner
16:00 you want a romance/drama anime with very realistic scenes and dialogue? I highly suggest "Tsuki ga Kirei". Extremely underrated anime and one of my most favorite romance of all time. A certified hidden gem!
It floors me that a 3 second clip has to be muted these days…
What good matchups though, so hard to choose
It's criminal how 86 is almost always left out of most anime lists ! hopefully it gets the love it deserves. It's risen to my favorite of all times and I can't find a new anime that beats it for me !
You are getting so many anime openings without seeing the name. Look at you go! Since you are reacting to compilation lists you are now getting them soaked in to your memory due to repetition since these lists tend to have the most popular openings. Will still be hard on ones you have only heard once though.
❤️❤️
macross, do you remember love? (1984) - do you remember love?
cats eye(1983)- cats eye
touch(1985) op - touch
City hunter(1987) ED - get wild
magic knight rayearth (1995) op - yozurenai negai
+
fafner in the azure(2004) op - Shangri-La
air(2005) op - tori no uta
sousei no aquarion(2005) OP - genesis of aquarion
bokurano (2007) op - uninstall
Personally when someone says opening and not opening song I always think of both the visuals and the music together. Same as how people usually mean the short version openings with the animation when ask for a reaction and not the full music only version. On the other hand, I agree with quite a bit of choices or at least can understand why something else was chosen without seeing the anime or the opening. This was actually a pretty good list.
EGOIST is doing openings for Guity Crown and she is absolutely incredible singer, u sould check her songs, very emotionally strong songs
Its so underated 😢
6:22 aye bro that’s unfair, how you gonna look up the AOT opening and not the Tokyo revengers opening???
“I don’t remember it (TR op 1) so I’m picking spy x family”
“Hold up what is AOT opening 7?”
The math ain’t mathin’
10:32 -_- again? And I picked demon slayer too.
13:10 that’s what I’m talking about! That’s why got games is the mvp! That’s why he’s the goat the 🐐!
Well if you love anime actions I recommend you bungou stray dogs it’s a good anime but it’s so underrated
These are so good. It's. A lot of fun going through these openings.
8:50 that is evil putting 2 Eve songs against each other
19:15 I thought you already watched steins gate? 😭
he did, idk what he is talking about
I think he quickly forgets what he watches
Blud literally forgot.
YEEEEEEEESS THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING GURREN LAGAANN! One of my favourite anime and opening of all time
every anime he saw 😂 is the best
I really like it that you pick the openings song-wise. I'd do that too.
My picks that differ from yours:
Death Note > Code Geass
DBZ > One Piece
DB GT > InuYasha
Tokyo Revenger > Spy X Family
Re: Zero > Overlord (sorry, not a MYTH & ROID fan)
Zom 100 > Mashle (I know, cancel me)
Wotakoi > Paripi Koumei
Angel Beats! > Charlotte
Apothecary Diaries > Frieren
Beastars > Death Parade (but it's so so close!)
Steins;Gate > Re: Zero (okay, maybe a little bit of series bias here)
Psycho-Pass > 91 Days
If you want to react to an old school anime OP (it came out in 1989, its 35th anniversary!), try this one: ua-cam.com/video/7WHPT-zE1hI/v-deo.html
The anime is "Bio-booster Armor Guyver", the song is "Kyoushoku Soukou Guyver" and it's sung by Ishihara Shinichi. Guyver is a cult classic in Japan and overseas. The manga is still on-going since it started in 1985. It has OVAs, anime series, anime movies, and it's also had 2 live action movies made by Americans.
If you want to see the 2005 remake OP of Guyver, you can find it here:
OP: ua-cam.com/video/N2XiiDsPwjQ/v-deo.html (Song: "Waiting For..." | Singer: Yo Reiri)
You should do the tournament types. Someone from discord can make one for you and it's more interactive than just reacting to the video. It shows you the opening video and you choose between the two and there are stages, until 1 wins.
Wait. Luke hasn't seen Demon Slayer???
Inazume Eleven openings, maybe?
11:00 fully expected you to pick LISA and wasn't dissappointed.
If you like bunny girl senpai you need to watch the monogatari series since bunny girl is basically normiegatari
Yes, i liked pairs quiz creator chose.
I started watching Dress up darling thinking that it was a horn bait. I came out surprised.
I really wish you would check out the Evangelion 3.0+1.0 One Last Kiss. It's one of the most emotionally driven songs I've heard in an anime.
Luke i can't accept, that u haven't done the Kakegurui Openings yet u have to do them

19:12 What? Did you forget?😅
May be he meant rewatch, There is no way in the world a person, a human being can forget them had watched an phenomenal show like Steins;gate
@@viethoanggamermaybe he quickly forgets what he watches 😅
I mean it's the same as forgetting Konosuba and Eminence in shadow were Comedy animes too.
He said something about having seen Love is war and Dress up Darling for the comedy, without mentioning the others 💀
Luke, fun fact: Jujutsu Kaisen 3 opening is a top opening for Nicholas and he chose it in a second, you - vice versa :D Same with Re:Zero/Overlord openings (and he hates Solo leveling op btw :D)
While watching this video I found out that you did not yet react to Kuroko no basket. You should definitely give its openings a go. They are realy good
Im first
Also I've been waiting for this❤
Monogatari series está mejor escrito ya sea en personajes y en diálogos que Bunny Girl Senpai, es mi opinión pero deberías verlos, te va encantar!
We need more Yousei Teikoku reactions!
4:38 I tottaly agree with you, I would only pick re:zero if it was Realize instead ... otherwise overlord is top tier
Judging them by the song only is probably for the best. You can't fairly rate the other parts of the opening if you haven't seen the show.
Let me ask my own Choose your Opening Comparison.
