Universe is a translation error. It’s actually world in Mandarin and they use an old universal interpretation where you can meet different yous on other worlds

Also as a correction on a translation mistake, they aren't actually entire universes (Universe and World can be translated from the same word in Chinese so inconsistencies in translation makes a lot to create errors.)
Honkai Star Rail, Genshin and Honkai Impact 3rd are from the same universe (AKA the hoyoverse), with Genshin and Honkai being set on different worlds/planets within that universe. Star Rail visits different worlds. It's theoretically possible for us to visit teyvat and Earth one day for a crossover event.
Earth isn't in the game. Welt can talk about Earth because he's been there. But he can't go there now. Just something he remembers.
I'm not sure if this will reach you but if you want something to watch that happens in the lore but not in the main story. I suggest you watch "The Complete Story of Swarm Disaster" and "The complete story of Gold and Gears" by Catwithbluehat.
The Swarm Disaster focuses on a Aeon that destroyed 2/3 of the entire universe and Gold & Gears focuses on what happened to mortal life and society just about 2 centuries after The Swarm Disaster.
For "why is there a Destruction, what is there to gain from it?"
There's an Aeon called HooH, the Equilibrium, who's one of the oldest and presumably most powerful Aeons that seems to have some sway over even the other Aeons and the overall state of the universe, keeping it in some sort of balance. Since Aeons like Harmony and Abundance exist, the Equilibrium demands that something like Destruction must also be present in the universe.

@@Pinxku technically, IX shouldn't even become an Aeon. Because the path is about nothing matters, even destroying the universe or preserving it doesn't matter, then "trading the ability to choose another path to become an Aeon" also doesn't matter. The Nihility is just a consequence.
As you kept wondering why Nanook the Destruction wants to destroy the universe, this is the description of Nanook in the databank of the express in the game (an in game archive which explains everything about the lore)

The birth of the universe is a mistake. If civilization is a cancer emerging quietly from the boundless stars, then war is the only common language known to all intelligent life.
To correct this mistake and to clean up this tainted universe, Nanook became the avatar of entropy.
25:20 There is only one Astral Express but it does not mean that without it people cant travel the galaxy. Astral Expresses role is to connect worlds, to put down the rails so to speak. Those paths can later be used by anyone who has the capasity to travel in space.
Just to add to this, as mentioned in the video, there are multiple trains, but after Akavili’s disappearance they all stopped functioning and only the express is currently running thanks to Himeko. Also Akavili being dead is just speculation and the game often refers to him as missing.
Some points of this video made you a bit of confused with its statements. She tried to not simplify the terminologies too much but you can easily dumb down these terms into these:
Aeons: God (anything which somewhat has a mind can become one, Nouse is an Aeon made by a human "AI")
Emenator: Prophet (Aeons give them a small portion of their power when they catch the eye of an Aeon "gaze upon to" as she said, there are some expectations at how people can become emenators. The Aeon of Nihility "nothingness" for example isn't really conscious but it is rather a black hole and anyone who gets close to it becomes an emenator as that Aeon "its name is IX" doesn't have control over anything.)
Path: Religion (as said, the philosophy of the Aeon which the believers follow)
pathstrider: Believers
Imaginary Tree: Universe (it is a physical thing and not metaphoric thing. Everything is made out of the energy comming from it which is Imaginary Energy, like the matter of our universe)
Sea of Quanta: The place where the universe is expanding on.
Factions: cults of the religions.
When aeons die their path still can exist as a religion wouldn't just end because their leader died. For a path to completely end it must lose all it's followers, either by getting wiped out in a war or them stopping to believe
A person doesn't have to become an Emenator of an Aeon to get the blessing or power of an Aeon. There are some cases where we see an Aeons giving power to a pathstrider from another Path. For example Fu Xuan is a character which got her powers from the aeon of Erudition while she is a believer of the Aeon of the Hunt. Aeons simply can do whatever they want and if they see you fit to their philosophy they give you their blessings. Also emenators can share from the power they hot from the aeon to others too.
There is nothing such as "the MC can't stay anywhere too long" i don't know where she get that from but the stelaron in the MC is stable and nothing will happen as long as nothing makes the stelaron in the MC unstable. Staying somewhere too long won't make the stelaron unstable though. Maybe she tried to say that if the stelaron becomes too unstable while they are somewhere it would cause trouble to that place but that doesn't make sense because they always stay somewhere and teh stelaron can become unstable any moment
Welt Yang is a main character of Honkai Impact 3rd but long after the end of Honkai Impact, he traveled trough a rift and changed universe to land in the universe of Star Rail ;)
Major supporting character tbh. At least the sovereign of AE and the second herrscher of reason is actually playable now. And the way he introduces himself is as an anime producer

There’s only one universe. Blame the translators for translating world into universe. It’s well known now due to other translations that the English translation is wrong in HI3rd and wrong in a few places in HSR.
They use the Many Worlds Interpretation to explain the Honkai Universe
An Aeon can also die and have their path completely consumed if their ideal is too close to a much stronger ideal that mirrors the same general concept. Just to give an example of how crazy some of the Aeons get, there is one known at Finality that was created at the end of time and has been constantly moving backwards through the flow of time until they reach the starting point of existence at the same moment time reaches its end, lol.
Paths never die. They can be dormant but individuals can still pursue that path. Like Argenti pursuing Beauty. Also path subsumed into other Aeons are also not dead.
It's heavily implied that Propagation became part of Abundance for example.

The HSR concert is honestly quite amazing, there are some songs that jump out that people can probably point you to with timestamps to just listen to, off the top of the head I can think of "Wildfire" "Pejudara" (?) and Monodrama, and whatever the hell Dan Heng IL's theme is called lmao, oh and both songs sang by Chevy, Sway to my beat and If I can save one life. (Typing this out this is probably half the concert at this point, oops)

Check out "hope is the thing with feathers", a song from HSR, "the end is a beginning" and maybe the 8th, 9th and 10th anniversary pvs from ggz. All of em are real short
If ur interested, ggz also has specific songs representing each character. Bronya's is "angel of sin", mei's is "diva of disruptive world", and kiana's is "starlight map". The first 2 will probably sound somewhat familiar if you watched the animated shorts from HI3rd

You missed a bit out during the Welt explaination he's from our Earth meaning he's the only character that is from Honkai Impact 3rd that crossed over into the Star Rail Universe.

@@yankozyrenko9348there is a bit. Welt first brings it up in the luocha companion quest. Saying that these alternate versions of people, while they have the same face, their circumstances and personality may be entirely different, though oftentimes "they share they same fate" whatever that means.
The second time it's mentioned was on the forum from the ghost hunting quest. When the picture of the two Bailu surfaced, some of the forum users were debating on whether it was "parallel spacetime isotypes", the in universe term for this phenomenon, or not. But they decided Bailu wasn't one since it was just a heliobus.
The third time it was brought up was during the conversation between welt and acheron about their pasts. Welt saying that his Kevin nearly did the dream thing that penacony was about, while acheron saying that she killed "that man" on her world. Plus some stuff about how they aren't the same versions of the people they know to each other.
@@t0x1cfire75 wow, i remember those dialogs, but apparently didnt pay enough attention, at least at that point i didnt know that there exists different universes that are somehow connected. I played until 6 chapter of hi3, so I dont really know that much about honkai lore.
Ashikai's genshin videos are amazing, I'm now seeing the history by her theories and recaps it is amazing
You gotta realize that unlike in genshin where its just a bunch of gods in a single world, the Aeons are cosmic entities so the scale is unimaginably bigger. They could easily destroy whole planets. (One Aeon in particular is just a huge black hole). So yeah, not necessarily beings that you'll just find chilling on a planet and can be friends with.
I'd say the archons in genshin are more similar to Emanators (those who were gazed upon by the Aeon of their path). Emanators are basically VIPs in their paths and their power are granted to them directly by an Aeon
Aeon is capable of affecting the entire universe itself not just planets,even nanook emanator alone is enough to destroy an entire galaxy(lord ravager zephyro destroyed the entire Tia nua galaxy alone and Sand king emanator of propagation wiped out 2/3 of life existing in the imaginary tree during the swarm disaster)
Star Rail is a 10/10 game imo
Luke they explained, Welt slipped through time and space from Honkai impact verse and ended up into the StarRail verse only to be picked up by the astral express.
Btw you could play Honkai Impact first cause StarRail references a lot from Honkai Impact it's crazy and developers were also said that honkai impact players would feel so much nostalgia from the starrails story which they did make it happen.

NO, do not play Honkai Impact 3rd first, I know we all are fans here, but come on, the game is not beginner friendly, LIKE AT ALL. The gacha is the worst from any other Hoyoverse game, the story isn't as polished as the other games, and overall the game STILL feels like a cellphone game compared to the others. The gameplay also becomes less and less frequent until the point that you are just reading a visual novel. He will NEVER catch up to the game
YOU DON'T NEED TO PLAY HONKAI IMPACT FOR YOU TO ENJOY STAR RAIL. Star Rail is the game to go as a streamer. There's a reason for Star Rail's popularity to be enormous compared to Honkai Impact. It's just way more accesible and, honestly? I think it's the best game from Hoyoverse. All the polish and lessons learned from Genshin, with ALL the love they give Honkai Impact. It's the perfect combination.

@@testaccrun4830 the ui menu is not beginner friendly and its really not optimized to play it on pc so yes, its really not beginner friendly for someone who wants to jump on to gacha games, don't get me wrong HI3 is actually my first gacha game back in 2017 but nowadays gacha game like GI HSR ToF has really make it easy to adapt for someone new in gacha space, something like character, quest, energy/stamina, materials, weapons, skills, gacha system, etc is really well explained in nowadays gacha game
@@testaccrun4830 its NOT beginner friendly. The early game is SO rough to go through. Building characters are horrible without throwing down money. HSR is a WAY more polished early game experience with the Belabog story.

There is one aeon per path. They're like the be all end all of a path, or the "god" of a path.
The playable paths are basically just roles. Most of the paths attributed to playable characters don't match up to the paths that they actually follow.
I would suggest you check out Welt's backstory from Homu Labs. It explains everything that you need to know since, Welt is the only character from Impact 3rd.
Just do a live for the concert I think. It's really an absolute banger.
I like Homu Labs lore vids more they are more on point and funny even though he is mainly explaining Honkai Impact 3rd lore. He had a beginner's guide video for the Star Rail too with less views.
To give context to how isanely and incomprehensible an Aeons power is, let's just look at Aha the elation. Aha is basicly the god of fun, joy, all which fall under elation... and elation can come in many forms. So long as it brings joy or fun to you or others, anything can really be considered elation... Which is why as a joke, this Aeon casually decided to join another Aeon's faction (Funnily enough, that faction just so happened to be the astral express, which we're a part of) years back. The Aeon then stayed there for like a year undercover, and then suddenly casually BLOWS UP A PLANET WITH HALF THE EXRPRESS ALONG WITH IT. Basicly, an Aeon is a being that can casually destroy a planet if they really wanted to, and it wouldn't even take a fraction of their power to do so
The video is 1 year old and looks like knowing of the Honkai Impact story is recommended to understand more deeply the lore of HSR. There are a lot of references that HSR mentioned from HI and there were some moments where characters were speaking about something, but you don't understand, because they speak abstractly, which you will understand only if you know the HI lore.
Moreover, alternative universes were mentioned a lot inside the Honkai Impact, but there also were Houkai Gakuen 1/2 games that were predecessors. They share some same characters, but they are different, but they can have some similar basic story points, which means that there is also something like a concept of unavoidable fate points that will happen in some one or other ways. We have already seen some of those things in HSR with Seele, Bronya, Cocolia, Natasha(Raven in HI), and currently with Acheron (Raiden Mei). Also, for example, all games have one person who dies in all universes, without alternatives, so we can wait for something like that in HSR. It's important because the mentioned Welt comes from the HI world, knows about it and wants to save that person at least here.
And one more thing, Welt comes into the HSR world not alone

Ashikai makes great lore videos. I always watch her Genshin Lore videos after I've completed the new patch content to clarify what I misunderstood or pickup what I flat out missed.
Genshin Impact = button mash combat
Honkai Star Rail = turn based combat
This I feel is the biggest and most important difference in enjoyment for most as either battle style can be disliked by some
Basically the main character (Trailblazer) can't settle down long term anywhere. If she/he did the stellaron would start to destabilize but it doesn't blow up like a bomb. It does OTHER things. Himeko and Welt are great at stabilizing stellarons so they are perfect companions for her/him. Stellarons tend to do things like open up destructive rifts, warp reality, tempt leader of factions or worlds to do horrible things in exchange for miracles etc. They don't work like grenades or A bombs.

since I see a few people recommending it I quickly want to mention:
if you react to ''Harmonious Choir: The Great Septimus · Boss Theme'' then you don't have to listen to ''Hope Is the Thing With Feathers'' because that song is part of the boss theme. you'll end up hearing the same thing twice if you do.
also, don't listen to the EP version of Hope Is the Thing With Feathers if you're only gonna listen to that and not the boss battle (the full song is 3 minutes 50 seconds, while the EP is 2 minutes 56 seconds)
they literally explained that Welt went crashing through a portal to end up in Star Rail, his home universe is NOT the same universe he is in now. Different branches on the Imaginary tree essentially.

Pros for playing Honkai Impact:
-Deep attachment to the characters (Because fewer characters)
-Established and voiced main character
-More immersive Action gameplay (Devil may cry, Bayonetta)
-There is no need to pull for characters to play the story because you are given trials of them when they appear
-All parts can be accessed very quickly (Little to no level lock to progression)
-An unending treasure trove of content (45 story chapters (Part 1), 7 character chapters, 4 open world stories, 22 Mangas with a total of 230 chapters, 3 animes with a total of 30 episodes, 3 visual novels with a total of 68 chapters, 3 concerts and biweekly events)
-Story will leave you feeling the feels (especially as a father)
-Music
Cons for playing Honkai Impact:
-Long (About 175 hours just for the 45 story chapters) (Double edged sword since a lot of content potential)
-Only Japanese and Chinese voice acting
-Text HEAVY (90% of the gameplay you'll do is reading) (Visual novel style)
-Slow pickup
-Non-interactive/no choices (pure cinematic experience)
-Not really playable on mouse and keyboard (will need Gamepad, listing it as a con but I don't mind it)
-Visuals look dated until later chapters
Pros for playing Honkai Star Rail:
-English voice acting (less reading)
-Game is only 1 year old (Can catch up fast)
-If you're into turn based games
-Major events can always be accessed (not time limited)
-Popular because it's recent
-Music
-Best visuals so far
-Exploration is very manageable
-Content outside of story is also very popular (rogue lite mode, pulling etc)
Const for playing Honkai Star Rail:
-Fraction of Honkai Impacts content potential
-Will need to do some gacha
-If you're not into turn based games
-Story sometimes hit or miss
-Character attachment lower because of regional system (Many characters across many regions) (Will become more of an issue once there is more characters)
-Level locked story progression (Better than Genshin, worse than Impact)
-Semi-silent Main character
Both are stellar games. Personally I prefer Impact's story, especially the character development since there's really only about 25 characters. I hold it in higher regard to most anime I've watched even if it mostly is text and still frames. However for a new player who's not accustomed to visual novels, I can't recommend Impact over Star Rail. Star Rail is currently more relevant and popular and because it's quite young, it's definitely possible to catch up to when starting now. For a content creator, Impact's abundance of content is definitely marketable, but Honkai Impact chapters become quite long, and I don't know how satisfying it will be for viewers and yourself to split a single chapter into too many parts. Star Rail in that regard manages to kind of make story chapters manageable to stream in one or two sittings.
tl;dr: As for which one you should play first - The heart says Honkai Impact, The brain says Star Rail

It could be clarified that Nanook is more of an embodiment of entropy rather than destruction in the usual sense, be it blowing up a building for a purpose or breaking a thing for a show of force
Accordingly, his way is simply to accelerate the entropy of the universe by any means necessary without any benefit or thought of "what's next"
Basically aeons are not individuals even in the full sense but mostly embodiments of the concepts they represent, aeons are still able to think and make decisions but only within the framework of their concepts, the rest just doesn't exist for them.
Also killing an aeon is not killing it as a living being by some powerful force (as an aeon is no longer a living being in the full sense), but taking the very concepts it embodies out of its path and absorbing them into other aeons with similar paths or completely destroying them, if possible.
So the killing of an aeon can be compared to the destruction of a religion, only on a cosmic scale
I have a response to the grenade analogy.
The main point here is that wherever you decide to stay for a long period of time, that one place would be more likely to go down with you and that would be selfish to instill that fate on to others without (worldwide scale) consent, in contrast to dealing with the situation when it happens while moving forward.
This concept is strengthened with the idea that something, somewhere or someone might be able to help you deactivate the grenade, so its better to keep moving and search for a solution rather then hole yourself in a cave and wait to blow up, specially since you are traveling with "grenade experts" and they know you are not gonna blow up any time soon, at least not on your own with no provocation.
To go more into game specifics without much spoilers: the two large groups that could be bothered by this potential explosive danger and know you have a nuke inside are the space station that don't mind you staying as long as you become a lab rat and the Express that want to help you solve the issue.
Maybe in later installments we could encounter a planet that don't mind or are not bothered by that explosion threat and then we can ponder "why keep traveling if you can just stay here?", but because this is a....for lack of a better term, "Dimension Bending Nuke", it would be a highly unlike scenario without an ulterior motive.
It is a game so the path part of 18 paths lore are for story. The 7 paths are main concept of game play, for example a character of Abundance path act as healer while a character of Preservation path act as shielder/tanker in term of game play. There are other paths which can be said like religion other than 7, they have ability suit their own path but not play able concept, example Fuli, aeon of remembrance path, his concept is memory, his faction is Garden of Recollection whose gathering memory of all world and living, Black Swan is one of this faction, she can read/collect memory of things but she playable character as nihility path as debuffer mage concept.

Nanook acsended in a world destroyed by Swarm, he saw most brutal forms of war and strugle it gives to mortals. So he believes, that existence of various creatures is meaningless if it could bring only strugle and pain, and destruction of everything would free everyone.
Also Aeon can't change Path, THEY are the master and a slave of Path at the same time.
Also connection between stellarons and Nanook don't have evidence (for example, stellaron can stop invasion of Antimatter Legion), it is just asumption.

Hsr lore is actually unparalleled imo... But u will see only if u play through it. I will not spoil anything,this is just a little more about the game: they play a lot with philosophical ideas, and all known aeons being embodiments of certain concepts (destruction, harmony, nihility...) makes for very interesting interactions, both between the emanators of their paths and main characters, and also main characters and aeons themselves!
Hsr has multiple endgame modes where you encounter eaons and get a chance to talk to them and also a lot of other creations.
It also has a main story, story drivers of course and really good world building. It has multiple organisations,political plays... Your story begins in a space station but you get to travel to different worlds with the express crew and connect all the worlds and experience history in the making.
U saw that the trailblazer (main character) is actually with the express crew because: the crew already knows how to take control over a stellaron disaster in case it happens (btw, stellaron wont be exactly like a nuke, but more like a disaster nuke - different kinds of terrible things come to be, its not necessarily an explosion) so they travel with the crew who can handle it and also because the astral express is where they got "left" or "abandoned" to be:)

Paths cliffnotes:
Paths are wells of imaginary energy that are bound to a specific philosophical concept.
Aeons are the master and embodiment of their respective paths.
People who follow a path are called pathstriders and those who catch the gaze of their aeon can be granted power by them and become an emanator.
Factions are groups of people who follow a specific path but some factions can sometimes deviate from or go directly against their respective aeon.
Paths can still exist even if an aeon is dead, like how the nameless can still access the power of the path of trailblaze even though Akivili is gone.

If someone tell you that the games are in different "universes" and use the word "multiverse" in Hoyoverse games they have no idea what they talk about.

The Destruction views everything as a mistake while the Nihility views everything as meaningless.
Nanook wants the everything to end because it's a cancer on the universe while IX doesn't care what happens because nothing matters.
Both Aeons are destructive forces but fundamentally look at the universe in different ways.
Ena and Xipe are a little harder to figure out. I'm still working through that myself but going off the latest patch I'd say both paths wanted peace in the universe but the big difference was choice. Order forces peace in a totalitarian sort of way while Harmony creates peace with compassion.
I don't know if I completely agree with this statement but I saw someone online say "Harmony can bring Order but Order can't bring Harmony". Again I don't think I fully agree with that statement but it seems to be the idea the developers are going for with these two.

Traveling between them requires a massive amount of Imaginary Energy or Honkai energy. In _HI3_ , there is some technology capable of opening portals into the Sea of Quanta, and the Divine Key _Cosmic Juggernaut_ , which is also a train, can be used to look into or travel to them as well. The Herrscher of the Void has sovereignty over space, and so can travel through Imaginary Space. However getting to the Imaginary Tree and retaining your own will is far harder. _Thus Spoke Apocalypse_ depicts the end of Otto Apocalypse doing exactly that, and he needed Bianka Ataegina and Kiana Kaslana to attack him with all of their power to even get there, let alone resisting becoming the Imaginary's slave when he touched the Tree (like the numerous versions of himself who failed, and who he had to fight).

Nanook basically wants to end civilizations because he believes humans would inevitably always ends up doing war. He destroyed his home planet and ascended because of that.
Just answering a few of your questions:
Every path has an Aeon. But as said in the video, the trailblaze path's Aeon, Akivili is dead. So there are paths that used to have an Aeon and maybe now they don't. Currently, 7 Paths can be played in the game. While the others, may or may not be playable in the future. Who knows?
Out of all the other trains in the railway system of Akivili, the Astral Express was the only one train left that was found and fixed by Himeko (the boss of Astral Express). The railway is still there, but the other trains are lost and probably broken with Akivili's death. So the Astral Express is the only one that can use the railway system made by Akivili.
The trailblazer (us as players), is like a time bomb. But the nameless (those who board the Astral Express and travel across the universe) have experience in dealing with stellarons (the bomb inside our body). So if someday we decided to blow up, then they are there to handle it. Also, the trailblazer was just created by Kafka and Silver Wolf out of nowhere and leaves us confused with no specific goals or purpose. Traveling with the nameless on the Astral Express can give us some sort of goal or purpose that we can find. Those two are the main reasons we as a player travel on the Astral Express.
27:01 you couldnt really mistake an Aeon for a mortal. They are quite different.
For instance, one of them is just a Black Hole.
To add context, the Stellaron is just a concept of a bomb since it's stable in the Trailblazer's body but its effects are mostly fracturing reality creating monsters, changing environment.
26:35 - Aeons are the masters of the path. Only 7 are playable but 18 are in game. It doesn't mean that it will stay at 18 since AEONS can be made or evolved into if you have a concept and commit to that concept.
Since concepts can overlap, it's also one of the reasons why AEONS can kill each other and take over their path. For example Propagation, Beauty and Abundance have similar concepts. Also Destruction and Nihility has overlapping concept too.
no one path have multiple aeon. but some path have “almost” the same outcome. FOR EXAMPLE:
- path of “Destruction” aims the destruction of everything. to quote duke Inferno “everything exist to be destroyed”
- the path of “Nihility” believes everything that exist will and should end in nothingness (possibly by the embrace of IX/Aeon of Nihility).
- path of the “Hunt” believes in the act of revenge and most of the time the ending of the target is a total destruction (which in a way contributes the goal of Destruction)
- path of “Finality” believes everything that has a beginning has an end including the universe itself.

Those are two very different things. You can consider Akivili dead but that isn't accurate.
(It's also my theory that March is Akivili, but that's just a theory)
Honkai Star Rail is my first game into anything developed by Hoyo, so definitely don't feel you have to play the others and aren't connected like Ashikai mentioned. I would say you might like HSR a lot more for both story & gameplay especially since I know you like to pause and comment and the gameplay of this is very much more turn based as HI3 is more action. So you could easily take times to pause and talk between or mid battles. I hope you start playing very soon!
The thing about Honkai impact and honkai star rail is that eventhough it is called differient universe.
Ingame lore had depicted that the so called each leaf in the imaginary tree being an universe is actually not true.
As they are rather solar system rather than unuverse.
Meaning that HI3 is set on Earth and the solar syste..
And HSR is about traveling through diff worlds..
Aka they travel to diff solar/star system so.. They are dirrctly connected..
So is genshin.. (Which sits in some random area in a vast immeasurable universe).
So eventhough it is connected..

The Trailblazer does have a past before the start of the game. It is just vague and obscured. It is just their memories have been altered with the only thing remaining is bits and pieces of the past with Kafka.
Funny enough, it is heavily implied that Kafka and Trailblazer had a romantic connection before the memory wipe imo.
(via references like the red string of fate/destiny to romance novella/romance opera, dialogue in game, etc)
I kinda understand Nanook's mindset a bit. If there's no existence, its also there is no suffering in this world. Is just kinda a extreme mindset yo get rid of suffering altogether.
You should check out IslandXD's stuff. He's an incredible reactor and theorycrafts the entire Hoyoverse. His main focus in the past tends to be Genshin, but he's extremely well versed in HI3 and HSR as well (as well as many other gacha games, including Arknights and Reverse: 1999).

welt in star rail is the same welt from honkai impact, he crossed dimensions and got picked up by himeko and the express. there are a lot of easter eggs from impact in star rail, but that's most of the connection between the two games.

As a warning, MiHoyo has gotten pretty darn good at putting on an entertaining concert. Musically, you will be sated, but until you play the game, a lot of the extra bells and whistles that go on in the concert will go over your head.
When they said welt is from earth they were refering to his universes planet. welt is not from this universe but the honkai impact universe. As stated he came here from his universe during a crash, we do not know where his friends are or even if they travelled here with him.
When welt ran into himeko he understood that this is not HIS himeko and that this is a different universe with similar looking people. As pointed out last week you've already seen bronya and seele from their trailers luocha who looks identical to Otto from HI3 and some Acheron who is the EXPY of Raiden Mei.
Given there is also a raiden shogun in genshin and some other characters who share similarities with both of these dimensions it cam be noted that rather mihoyo is getting lazy and copy pasting or that ALL these worlds are part of the imaginary tree. As stated at the start that the leaves of the tree are each a universe in themselves.
Welts lightcone in game and his cane are actually referenced as being one of the 13 herrscher relics from HI3 which adds more light to the fact that welt is still connected to the honkai even in this universe so the odds of us getting some more connection to HI3 and Star rail are possible in the future.
for the question Star rail or Impact 3rd: Star Rail is a turn based game, where as Impact 3rd is a high action game with heavy reliance on dodge mechanics and timing. Honkai Impact 3rd also only has a single male playable character that is generally hated by the fanbase.
For Welt, think back to the Imaginary Tree. Imagine if you jumped from one of the leaves to another.

Himeko, the lady with red hair isn't abundance btw, she's erudition, but in her lore she's more tied to the path of trailblazing (our own faction), while the characters have a path they're assigned to for gameplay purposes, they do not follow that path themselves always, some of them then again do.
Another example is Jing Yuan who very much follows the Hunt: Lan but is erudition (I don't particularly know why they chose that for him since hunt is also playable).
Sparkle is a follower of Aha, the Aeon of elation, but considering elation isn't a playable path she got stuck with harmony.
Every path usually has a role it's designed for or fulfills, like destruction usually being high damage dealers that use their own HP as a resource, harmony being supports that provide buffs, abundance being healers... etc etc
And yeah Star rail is a great game, it plays a bit like Persona/Pokemon because of its turn based combat, it's not as grindy as Genshin and is a "bit" more generous with giving the premium currency, it is quite playable F2P or low investment imo.
This game is also hilarious, it's incredibly self aware at points and has references to memes and other great pop culture, you can decide to be a dumbass in conversations and the npc's will just look at you like "what did you just say???"
Also maybe good to know, Himeko is one of the characters on the standard banner (1 of 6?) so you can get her as your first 5* because you get one of them for 50 standard pulls, after that you can eventually get her guaranteed after 300 standard banner pulls but this would take a while of course.
I think its best to view Aeons as true indescribable and beyond human comprehension gods. Technically speaking that isnt a strictly true definition but its easiest to describe it that way to a new player. You asked what happens when an Aeon strays from their path, but as far as we know that is literally impossible. The Destruction for example, quite literally can’t choose to not seek destruction, it is simply impossible.
To have a better understanding of how paths work:
Imagine if this channel was a path-
All your followers and subscribers across all platforms would the pathstriders
The people you communicate directly with like your mods would be the Emanators
And you'd be the Aeon

Before you start playing, Fair warning, it is a very dialog intensive game. Amazing story and characters, but a lot of dialog.

So, you seems like still didn't quite get the concept of Imaginary Tree and Sea of Quanta, that's why you asking how Welt from HI3 comes into HSR.
While they different universes, they are still connected with Imaginary Tree and Sea of Quanta. Those two are *fillers* between universes. An analogy would be that universe is like a planet and IT & SoQ is space between them, so it like an universe that contain universes. And HI3 use one of them and HSR use another. In HI3 story there were cases where characters travel into SoQ during the story and do some stuff here and in case of Welt he just traveled between those universes from HI3 universe to HSR universe.
I would however advice to start story from HI3, it just would make more sense in the end and questions like that would be closed. And also you will get more sense of completeness and familiarity with characters between those two games because even if they are different, they share so-so-so much in common! Even in some cinematics and trailers you will see some references to previous game (HI3). That's just slightly better than doing it in reverse (HSR, then HI3).
And lastly one bonus if you start HI3: HI3 can be progressed in story without much pauses for farming and other activities, especially considering that it will give you maxed out trial characters during story stages _(80 lvl equivalent, so you wont need to farm your character or account),_ however HSR will require you to actively progress, because of that and farming, you will be limited in content before you reach around higher account rank _(world level directly affected by it)_ and upgraded characters _(it is hard to play on higher levels without any investment in character upgrades)._ Not only that, but some content would be challenged _(typically bosses),_ so you may even not beat them with stock characters, so you will be waiting for multiple patches to get good 5 star character that would able to carry you through those bosses. _(I had same thing in 2 quests on 40th levels and I had to wait until I get Acheron to get proper DPS team, that was 4 month later and I already was at the level of 80lvl content, which is a lot time for waiting, grinding, etc.)_

It's not that the main character is unable or unwilling to stay at any one place. It's that the Inhabitants of those places don't feel comfortable keeping the trailblazer around for any lengthy period of time.

On the topic of concerts, I don't think it's that people want you to do all the hoyoverse concerts, we want you to do specifically Star Rail Live 2024, which is far and away the best concert Hoyoverse has ever done. If you were going to do just one as a test run, that's the one to do.
Edit: Aeons being destroyed by deviating from their path is my favourite thing about them, cause it means the little droplets can defeat the immeasurably more powerful ocean on an ideological level if doing so physically is not possible. If you can shake an Aeon's faith, cause them to question their path for even a moment, they'll just cease to exist. Poof. Gone. You don't have to beat God, you just have to make God doubt himself for a split second and the problem will take care of itself.
