- Im just loving the simplicity of black and white fashion at the moment. This haul was inspired mostly by my desire to find an outfit for a white party is from Marks and Spencers, however it has some beautiful and unusual pieces. Unfortunately however it didn't yield a white party outfit.

Hello again Alana, you liked most of the haul then,lol. Im beginning to wonder if im becoming too self critical and looking for the flaws and issues in an item rather than just the overall picture. But I am certainly learning a lot and when I truly find a hit, I just know it. Ive got a great video coming out on Saturday where I have just fallen in love with the dress. I REALLY LOVE the black top and the spotted skirt. Im 5ft 4, size 18 and the same body shape as you. I'd definitely buy them! Personally, I never wear white, except for linen trousers in Summer. It makes me look bigger and I feel self conscious. The black and white skirt is very pretty, but not for you. The dress is lovely and very flattering on you.

The white blouse and polka dot skirt look very nice. It gives you nice definition instead of being shapeless. I would tack the waist band down since it seems to be coming up. That's actually no big deal and would only take a few minutes of hand sewing. I like that outfit very much! Are you sure the jeans aren't supposed to be like that? That type of ragged hem is popular at the moment.
The asymmetrical black tee looks super with the polka dot skirt! I'm thinking you'll be able to put together a number of outfits with your black and white clothing purchases! The white one looks like it's not the same size as the black one. Who knows?
The white jeans with the semi-tucked top looks very nice too! I love stretch jeans - so cute rolled up. I think you had some winners in this haul.
And what exactly is a White Party? I've never heard of it here in the US. Is it a British thing?
wow, a viewer from US, welcome. Where abouts are you, I've been fortunate to visit several times, but it's a big country and I definitely need to come back again. Thank you for all your feedback, on reflection the jeans are probably supposed to be in that casual style but to me just looked unfinished and Marks & Spencers are thought of as a quality shop in UK and I felt the quality just wasn't there. I'm surprised you haven't heard of a white party, as I first heard of it when watching the US tv show Housewives of Beverly Hills. My white party is actually going to be on a cruise and basically where everyone where's a white outfit! I've got a dedicated white party haul video coming up in about a week, where I actually show my white party outfit off, some come back to see that video. XX

What a lovely haul from M&S. The spotted skirt and the white top looked lovely on you. That shirt with an asymmetrical hem was beautiful on you. The jeans I loved. I bought my white jeans from next about 5 yrs ago now and still fit. The skirt from finery was beautiful on you. I think it’s all about the cut in clothes tbh. I loved that black and white skirt. That is something I would go for for myself. It wasn’t all bad. There were some that fitted you. You have got patience with all these hauls. That white skirt is a winner. All you needed was to find a nice blouse to go with it.

@susanknight7091 skirts can be more flattering as the don't emphasise how far your belly sticks out from the top of your legs if you get what I mean. White is hard to wear for everyone though, it's too plain
Susan the dress was lovely although you should try a size down. The black asymmetrical top was really lovely on you definitely a keeper. Didn't like the polka dot skirt and unsure about the jeans😕

Hi Susan. I used to shop mostly in M&S but their styles have changed over the years, their sizes are now very unpredictable and as for trouser lengths……😅just don’t get me started! On top of that, their prices, like everywhere else, have gone up but. I agree with you that the quality has lessened……..those bias cut skirts with the unsewn waistband irritate me immensely! I have no luck with trousers at 5ft 1 which is disappointing!
I still shop their sales (mainly for tops) as they are always 50% then 60% and at the end of a sale, I’ve even bought things 90% off!
They stock many brands in M&S now since many of the high st. stores disappeared! When the designer stock goes in the sale, it’s definitely worth a look!
Of all your garments I thought the white jeans looked good but wear them with a blouse not a t.shirt and the black asymetric t.shirt was nice!

I agree about trouser length, most of the time cropped trousers are full length on me and even regular length are miles too long! You know me I will keep on doing hauls till I find that white outfit,lol xx
Hi sweetie I love your tops left out but when you tuck them into a skirt you look so pretty and it looks dressy and elevated. It also makes your figure look pretty and gives you a flattering silhouette. I love you both ways. I’m trying to wear tops out and be comfortable. I used to be so afraid to tuck in and I did it so loosely and baggy for work that it made me look heavier and I took my parents trying to explain as shaming so once I did tuck right then untucked brought me back to the painful place. I’m finally getting over it but I wanted you to know how amazing you look with a defined waist as finally being told that changed everything for me. 🥰

@@susanknight7091 I am much better and happy. I was tucking in as little of a blouse as possible and it was so baggy that it worked against me. My parents tried to say that I would be better off tucking in right or not at all which tucked is mandatory rather than trying to be in between and I misunderstood. When I finally did fully tuck a blouse my parents and all my friends asked how did you lose so much weight and why did you hide it? I said I didn’t lose an ounce I just tucked in my blouse.

Hi Janice, I did like the skirt but it was very plain and virtually see thru so I'm afraid it wasn't a keeper. I will definitely look out for something in same style though. Hope you keep watching and commenting as viewers feedback is always so useful when I select clothes for new hauls ❤️
As someone who 40 years ago used to be a machinist in a tailoring factory that used to supply M&S , I am appalled at their sub standard of garments . The waistline on that skirt would be a reject and not pass quality control. I really loved your blue and white patterned top at the beginning of the vlog

What a disappointing haul for the money spent Susan , it’s not that you didn’t look nice in these garments but the finishing was awful and should never have passed quality control . It seems one is paying for the M and S name only . Have a lovely Wednesday 💐
