  • In this video I will be reviewing the OfficeWorld Autofeed Electric Pencil Sharpener. This is an automatic pencil sharpener review.
In the world of electric pencil sharpeners, there are few that automatically pull in the pencil, sharpen, then ejects it. And few actually work well. So watch and see how this one works.

Just to be clear in case you are wondering, the Caran 'd Ache pencil does not fit into the hole. It may appear like it did but did not active the sharpener, but in fact it gets stuck at the opening. I could push it in with force, but I'm afraid it will likely get stuck inside and I value my pencils. LOL!! Check out my video on the Jarlink electric. I've been shoving pencils into it everyday for weeks (Norica 2014 blacks) doing tons of notes and it has been working great to-date.

I couldn't tell for sure from the video but I believe you were measuring the pencil size from the "flats". You'd need to measure the diameter from the points as that will give you a larger measurement.

thanks for your video! my kid oversharpened her pencil and it was too deep for me to fish it out. I had no idea how to open it. Now I know!

Great review. I agree we need a sharpener that will sharpen our drawing pencils with a longer point. Always enjoy your videos, especially our drawing instructions. Thanks for being part of the community

I just stick with the old Panasonic and Brother pencil sharpeners. They always work well and are pretty easy to take apart and service. They also produce a tip length similar to this sharpener. I have a KP-33, KP-8a and KP-150 they're all very similar in terms of tip length compared to this one.

Well, don't tell him. I'd like to keep it around a little longer.

Lovely through review, glad you tested with calipers on pencil width, must be frustrating to get this trying to sharpen pencils that don't fit

X-acto makes one similar to this for $50 I believe it runs off 110 volts only but it produces a standard tip length.

A year later: I just found the vid. Googling OfficeWorld AutoFeed Electric does not bring up any OfficeWorld products. What comes up is Taskbiiz, Jarlink and a bunch of others, all similar. The Taskbiiz looks most like the OW; do you think they are the same? I'm disappointed that the OW does not seem to be marketed anymore, as I am on the hunt for the world's best sharpener. Thanks for any help!

Many of these sharpeners are marketed under different brand names but made by same manufacturer.

As of December 2021: Amazon now lists an identical product as an "Officew Electric Pencil Sharpener" Dunno if they had a trademark issue or a copy/paste gremlin was in the keyboard.
