If you see nemesis image in dbd, he has a white dot in his eye, this could be simply a reflection of light... but what if this is the entity's touch to make him think the survivors are his new mission? This makes sense, because nemesis only chases his objectives... idk, just a theory
So, I don't know a lot of dbd killer lore never kept up with the tome, but from what you've explained in this video these are my thoughts: Doctor could very well be being manipulated by the entity similar to the way blight is expect the doctor will never see his research completed. I agree completely with the hillbilly tin foil hat and all. The plague is completely possible especially with other theories that could make sense. The artist is likely not being manipulated but being forced to repay the debt of saving their life.
This theory is really interesting for the fact that if it's true some of the killers don't even know that the entire survior cast exist despite constantly killing them
I can't remember if it was only survivors and killers too but I read that after every trial the entity wipes their memory, so each time is like their first time escaping a killer
@@King710. i feel like they’re retconning this, like the newest survivor that came with the knight seemed to know to cleanse the hex totem and didn’t seem phased by seeing the knight as a killer in this strange realm. At least in the trailer.
@@senatorarmstrong1233 from what I read about him Is that he's a veteran in the fog and very used to it, he's like another vigo sneaking around the realm without the Entity knowledge until he finally got caught or something
@@King710. the entity only wipes the memories of these people after they've been in the realm for so long their emotions aren't as easily swayed so it keeps them in a state of vulnerability to always be made angry/hopeful/scared so it can feed off those. That's what the whole "prestiging" a character used to be and the in game explanation on why they would lose all their items and perks but like another said they've kinda re-connect it especially with some of these survivors or characters who just wouldn't really be all that scared in the first place
From what I understand, the Hillbilly mostly killed trespassers on his land before he was taken. What if he’s not being manipulated to see the survivors as someone else, but to see all the stages as Coldwind Farm?
Maybe the same could go for leatherface too, since he’s also focused on keeping his land safe. And the Oni could possibly see people as either the farmers who killed him or the fake samurai’s he despised
Spirit probably sees the obsession itself as her father. I think she sees the other survivors as her bullies. I don’t think she’s foolish enough to think there are four of her father existing on the field at once.
Listen, if I was a dismembered corpse filled with broken glass being forced to kill clones of my father for a giant omnipotent, immortal, sentient plant. I would have a mind so open it’d look like a universe.
I think that in Billy's case, he is being manipulated into seeing that all maps are the coldwind farm. Because everytime a person enters the farm, Billy kills them
Similar to Hillbilly, Wraith might see the survivors as the soldiers that killed his family and friends. He might also see them as Azarov as well. Both of which would bring a lot of emotion out of Wraith.
In my opinion, the artist isnt manipulated, she has completely lost her mind, and maybe she thinks she's a crow with super powers, maybe she just sees herself as a carnivorous bird that casts ink to catch it's victims And about my man billy i actually believe he sees survivors as his parents and corrupt cops to increase his rage
I think your right about the artist because in her latest cosmetic set the one in the free rift she's like a crow god with the torso having literal Crow wings in the back
For the Twins I believe it’s soft white for a sadder reason, Charlotte obviously would take up the offer to have her brother again no matter what, and she would do anything to protect him and give him a life as a being of freedom, I would then assume the entity would convince The Twins that the survivors were out to hunt the Twins but Charlotte didn’t need that convincing and just believes everyone is out to kill them no matter what because that’s all they have ever known, and it’s why they will always fight back and kill. The only thing that convinced Charlotte was that her brother would be back in her life and that the only visual manipulation she has is that in her eyes it’s the real Victor either by her own self manipulation or from/by the Entity.
I also think that it's not the same victor, but as something more vicious and blood thirsty. Unfortunately, none of the lore really give you an idea of what victor was like before his death, but I think it fits more with the theme of tragedy and crazy zombie like victor we see in game. Your right that Charlotte is likely manipulated by herself or the entity as seeing him the same. She just seems done with life, only following her instinct to protect her brother.
It's also possible the Doctor is still part of this group, but the Entity's manipulations aren't to get him to kill, but rather to obfuscate certain things about the nature of the realm, since Doc's intellect and analytical mind could possibly allow him to eventually deduce enough to pose a serious threat to the Entity, and it's not out of the question that he'd be more than happy to replace it as ruler there.
The Artist has 2 cuts on her side, which leak black ink instead of blood. Her hands also lack any blood and are instead ink filled. This shows that the artist is controlled by the entity and that she cannot think for herself because she is already dead. Her carcass is being used by the entity.
id always thought that the white eyes indicated killers who had died before the entity took them, and that the black eyes like Clown and Huntress indicated they were the entity's favorites, while normal eyes meant they were alive, and not particularly favored. but this makes so much more sense lol
@MintSkull Well. To get particular the Oni could've became what he hated most. A literal Oni, and honestly it could've happened due to supernatural beings and magics.
I thought there was a theory that the Huntress was against the entity. She was caught in a war after the death of her mother, also in the lore book it states she would protect children (although poorly as they would die from starvation and hypothermia)
@@J03_M4m4 its even funnier this exchange because this happened before to the entity. if i remember right, one day myers just showed up. and started killing.
She's pretty much just a doll the entity is using, because her cut off hands leak black ink instead of blood, and her eyes are filled with ink and so is her mouth (black ink can be seen dripping out of her mouth)
My theory for the artist, is that The Entity is using a different form of manipulation on Carmina. What if the crows are speaking to her essentially in the trial, since as we know, she had a bond with the crows in real life. So what if she is following the will of the crows that saved her life twice, and because the crows are basically minions of The Entity, that is how it how it is manipulating Carmina.
I think this crow ink injection has literally made her an Entity's minion, like Trapper but in more sophisticated way. She's one of the favorite and one of it's thousands bird watchers but with the ability to kill and generate emotions.
Honestly, for The Artist, I had a kinda dark theory that while her mind is still her own, the body she has isn't. Basically she has her subconscious locked up and is alive in a bodily prison that she can't control. The ink and crows are the thing moving her body and working it, while her emotions of all the pain she's had in her life are stored in her broken, trapped mind. Kind of the ultimate hell and a poetic one of sorts that her whole life she's been in a jail of her life not being her own and now in the realm, she has no control to change anything anymore.
Ok, I 100% agree with this but I feel like the entity is manipulating the Oni. Theory time: the entity is making the oni hear constant ridicule from the survivors to increase his rage which is why he rips their tounge out in his mori, to stop them from mocking him and calling him an oni
I mean, you don’t need any manipulation for The Oni, after all what do you say to your friends when you hear that killer? It’s the righteous and honourable Kazan Yamaoka? Every single survivor and person playing this game calls him Oni
Also, every single survivor in the cast (that we know of) would all have been potential victims of Oni before he was taken. He hunted down the non-nobility of Japan, and none of survivors have any backstory about being descended from Samurai, as far as I know. In fact, with most of them being Westerners, Oni would probably be even more enraged as Japan has a long history of isolationism. I'm not an expert on Japanese history, but I'm pretty sure they were isolationist when Kazan Yamaoka was born. He'd probably really dislike Adam, a foreigner who moved to Japan to teach. The only character he would not have a desire to kill is his own descendant, Rin Yamaoka, the Spirit. However, I'm not too sure how he would feel about his curse being effectively passed down the family, or her being the last/second-last Yamaoka.
@@irregularassassin6380 Correct me if I'm wrong. (its been awhile since I read his lore so I may get some stuff wrong.) But the tldr of the oni was basically just him raging against western influence and its effects on the rigid class system? He'd like, double hate them than.
@@darkwarlockofit3408 It's been quite a while since I've read it too. What I recall is he was railing against the erosion of the Samurai class, which (if I remember my Japanese history correctly) had to do with changing economic pressures and a rising "middle" class. I believe this was, in turn, connected to increasing overseas trade but I'm not totally sure. Certainly the face of warfare was changing, as firearms technology was arriving and changing the face of war. Either way, a quick conversation with Yui, Adam, Rin, or Sadako about the modern history of Japan would probably see him lose his shit and double-hate on everyone (likely still excluding Rin).
The Spirit doesn't necessarily needs to be manipulated as such. Onyro tend to be blinded by their rage and will lash out against anyone. I mean, look at Kayako
This could also be applied to Susie from the Legion. When you look at her model without the mask, her eyes look kind of jaded over, and we know from the Legion’s lore that she was one of the members who was more resistant to the idea of killing the store clerk, who in her mind was innocent. So she might be being manipulated into thinking that she’s killing the cheerleader who bullied her, who in her mind was deserving of harm as we see from some of her cosmetics, along with any other individuals who bullied/harmed her, and in her mind were deserving of a twisted sense of justice.
It’s actually stated in the lore somewhere that deathslinger when entering the realm saw only those who wronged him in the past, which of course in the entities realm the only people the killer sees are survivors. It is easily understandable that the entity would give slinger white eyes because it is casting the illusion for him that the survivors are his enemies. Same thing for spirit, she only sees the survivors as the bullies and her father. Also, while it could be true that charlotte is being manipulated because of her eyes, it is also could be said her eyes are like that because she was on the cusp of dying to frostbite (she probably did die to frostbite then the entity took her)
Let's be honest, all Charlotte wants is to protect Victor. I'm sure she can care less about who kicked her brother like a football past the 50 yard line. If we just didnt kick him and try to ignore that little shit she wouldn't have much issue against us
Oddly enough I feel out of all the killers Bubba might contradict this the most, We know Bubba only kills out of fear that he will disappoint his family, however, they are not even present in the entity's realm, despite him clearly needing manipulation his eyes are completely black.
I don't think Bubba is a problem at all for this theory. His mental is the same of a scared child, and children are easy to manipulate. I would say Bubba is the same as Plague: Both don't need any visual aid in the trials to be manipulated, since Bubba will kill anyone as long as he has a reason to.
@@MintSkull Fair enough, however, I don't think he would necessarily listen to the entity like he would his parents, although I certainly see where you are coming from.
@@Real.Joseph.StaIin If the entity sounded like his parents Bubba might. The eyes are only for visual manipulation, so vocal would still be on the table. Or we could go with the legal reason and say the entity can’t overcome contractual deals 😂
@@OwlpoAnimations by that notion, Jason Voorhees follows this accurately. No reasons for him to kill but Mother says so. Entity could easily sound like anyone and pretend to be anyone
I have a theory for plague, if I remember correctly, she went with the entity to save her people, and if the entity is wanting her to kill, she will probably do it if it means saving her people, so it does make some sense as to why she would kill then without a lot of visual manipulation, but rather verbal manipulation from the entity.
Imagine the spirit hallucinates that her dad is repairing gens for eternity and she wants to get revenge still. "Wtf 4th dad stop like repairing those gens, it's soooo uncool!"
There is a fourth pair of eyes apart from the normal, black and white...AND THATS THE FROSTY EYES. They indicate an immense power beyond the walls of the game, specifically beyond the 4th wall. The frosty eyes indicate that the person outside of the game controlling the killer is very very very very strong at playing killer and will not stop or hesitate in the face of any obstacle
For Hillbilly, in a cinematic it showed that he had white eyes even as a child, before being taken. It's possible that the white eyes are just part of his grotesque appearance from birth and another reason people looked at him with such disgust
On hillibilly i would like to note that his lore states he attacks anything entering the Thompson Farm Estate. So he might be manipulated into seeing his surroundings as his home all the time.
I think Victor is actually resurrected. The Twins tome established that Victor in life always tried to look up at Charlotte and hold her hand when he needed comforted, and that's exactly what he does in the lobby animations. You could argue that's the Entity knowing that's what Victor did, but I feel like they deliberately put that detail in the Tome to make the resurrection canon. Plus, it's a more compelling story about Charlotte's undying faithfulness to and unwillingness to be separated from Victor being rewarded. So that's what I like to believe. The Twins kill because the entire world has been awful to them and the Entity's Realm is essentially a paradise to them, a land where they can live without being hunted and never die. Charlotte's extremely grateful to have Victor back, and that gratitude to the Entity plus her general misanthropy to the whole of humanity makes her more than willing to kill. We don't get a lot of information about Victor's character, but I believe he loves his sister and is willing to use his newfound freedom to help her tag team the survivors, plus he's vengeful after suffering at the hands of the Black Vale and the witchhunters that killed his mom.
The "Entity touched eyes" has been my favorite theory since years, and it makes complete sense. Wraith sees Azarov and the mercenaries he met as a child Hillbilly sees his parents and the police officers that abused him Nurse sees the asilum's patients that need to be killed out of mercy Spirit sees her father and the bullies that bullied her Deathslinger sees Bayshore, the prison warden and the bullies from when he was a kid Also another reason why Charlotte has partial white eyes could be because the Entity is munipulating her into seeing the real Victor instead of the one created/brought back to life by the Entity itself. You'd think she would realize it isn't the real Victor by the third eye and would not obey the Entity, so she is manipulated to see the real one instead.
@@MintSkull well it is entirely plausible for the entity to clone it explains why there can be multiple of one in a match. It also gives an answer for victors existence.
i'm so sorry but an image of the deathslinger with giant yellow text beside his head that says "DOES HE KNOW?" is so unbelievably fucking funny to me i can't get over it
I propose a different theory. What if the entity isn't manipulating them, but has blinded them to its ways? Look at Spirit. She has two states. One is the classic onryo with evil features, but the other looks like Rin pre-death. She's aware that she's killing innocent people, but the Yamoaka rage is too strong and she snaps back into Onyro-state. Look at DS. In his backstory, he's basically dying when the entity takes him. He's after being shot multiple times, once in the face and has killed everyone who has wronged him. He's got nothing else to lose and he's smart enough to see illusions when he encounters them. I think the entity has blinded them to protect itself. It knows that these people have a lot of willpower and it keeps them in a state of docile servitude to protect itself, because if they ever wake up, they're not going to take too kindly to being used. ESPECIALLY DS, given his backstory.
The thing I like about this theory is that it plays very nicely with some other theories like "We are the Entity/the Entity's POV" and/or "The Artist isn't real/is the Entity" excellent work!
It's a good theory, and it makes sense with the lore. This is the first time I've heard the theory, and I've been playing since 2017 (I think? The character that just came out when I started was Leatherface). My only problem with it, is that it makes the Killers it affects seem really stupid/insane even when they shouldn't be, like for the Spirit she can't tell with basic logic that there aren't actually a million clones of her Father that she's constantly killing? And similar logic for the others. The only way I could accept this is if the Killers understand that they aren't actually being shown reality (for them) but use the illusions they are shown to boost their rage/bloodlust which you sort of mentioned in the video anyways.
the plague has normal eyes because shes devoted to the entity (because she believes the entity is her god) so the entity probably just told her "hey go kill these guys lol" and the plague was probably like "ok big man whatever you say"
Pinhead has the power to pull chains from his own hell dimension and even take survivors out of the Entity's realm to bring them to his own in his mori animation. He's just happy to be here honestly.
Very interesting, i have enjoyed youre videos alot lately! DO you know what killers and survivors do when they are not in a trial, can they interact with eachother, does the entity let them have fun to calm them down? For example: Does the entity let The Doctor do expereiments on people, does he let the Artist paint, or are they in like a prison-like place? And such.. it would be an interesting video.
I like to think that doc just died of a high voltage shock and the instant he was about to die the entity brought him. That's why he has shock powers and all
For Hillbilly: what if the manipulation of in the terrain. Making the hillbilly think that the survivors are trespassing in his territory, so he goes after them until they are either dead or have left. For Wraith: possibly made to see Azarov or the soldiers that attacked his village. For Artist: maybe she has a deal that for every survivor she kills, she gets some free time to paint, so she kills to continue her passion.
this was suchhh a well done and interesting video!! i've never heard about this theory before but this really convinced me and added another layer to the lore of DBD. great work!! hope you're proud of this one cause it's amazingggggg x
It's worth mentioning that the Entity follows killers for a long time, Hillbilly could have been seeing strangers as his parents from the very beginning.
I like how your theories are backup up by facts unlike that other guy who just makes lists of killers and survivors with whatever he thinks in his mind
Damn respect to you for putting this together and explaining it in such a great way. You have a very intriguing tone in your Voice while explaining the theory
to me it seems like Nemesis also has the white Eyes. I think maybe he is touched to always see the Survivors as Members of S.T.A.R.S. Similarily to Charlotte i wonder if the Knight will also have entity touched eyes to see his three companions as he remembers them, instead of the Ghoulish Zombies they are in the Realm since they are also an Entity creation much like Viktor.. Would make sense. (PS: the Entity really sucks at making people, and not having them end up with deformations.. no wonder it has to constantly drag people into it's realm)
I have some additions! 1: Maybe Plague isn’t just following the will of her god, but also was told by the Entity that doing so would cure her people from the Plague. 2: perhaps it /does/ affect her, but she’s willing to do anything to save her people. 3: I’m personally not sure if Hillbilly would kill indiscriminately, the Entity could be making him think he’s in danger though, like by making him see the deputies as well as his parents. (Maybe I just like nicer Hillbilly lol) 4: The Artist could be seeing the survivors as the company that was stealing art, and believes that she needs to act or they’ll hurt someone, especially as she blames herself for Matias’s and her friends deaths, and may think that if she doesn’t act, that will happen again. 5: The Artist could also see the survivors as herself, since she blames herself already, this could be the Entity making her feel even more guilty, and she could be taking her anger out on herself, or seeing herself as a monster and trying to rid the world of it. (I know this is a wild theory lol) Great video! I love Dead by Daylight theories! (And read way too much of the lore lol)
This theory is very interesting and it would explain why such a small detail is present. As for my own take on it my own little headcanon has always been that Yes these killers were not evil per se at first and were manipulated by the entity into reenacting their revenge but I never thought they would quite literally see the object of their obsession (no pun intended) but instead were kinda stuck with their own choices. I always assumed the white eyes symbolised a deal made with the Entity i.e: the spirit became an Onryō purely because the entity persuaded Rin to join it by promising her revenge and so forging a deal between the two of some sort. A point to making the original theory true is the Deathslinger lore where it says that he sees all the people who made him wrong in his life. But personally I don’t think that is LITERAL, or at least not always, I don’t think they see the object of their hate during the trial but are attracted by the entity in some way when they’re taken to enact his bidding by making a contract of some sort between the two. If the Entity really could make the killer see things that aren’t actually there then it would not need to subdue some of the cast by torturing them or things like that and it could just make them see people they hate. Or love ??? This takes us to the Twins, there are 2 reasons to why Charlotte could be killing for the entity. 1. Viktor IS alive quite literally and the white eyes are not making her see a weird creature as viktor, but the survivors as the black veil. 2. She wished for Viktor to be back, the entity made the wish come true and in return Charlotte has to kill for it.(after all it seems like Charlotte knows Viktor is somewhat wrong considering she notices he looks more monstrous). I also thought about the Wraith and he would have no reason to kill innocent people randomly unless he was being controlled in some way obviously by the entity, but at the same time he cannot be seeing his old boss as, his weapon is quite literally the spine he had ripped from the very same boss at the end of his lore so it wouldn’t add up. Anyways, point being I think the theory has some truth to it but I can’t stop to feel like there’s more to it. It can’t be as simple as them just seeing people they hate but there’s more
Myers doesn’t need the entity to mess with his eyes because as Dr Sam Louis puts it “purely and simply evil” Which can also add more proof that the entity despises Michael for not having anyway of altering him to the entity’s liking
I'm not sure if this is something that is possible with the lore of this world or not, but I think it would be really cool if they wrote a story in the archives about an alternate Entity Realm where the Entity has lost it's manipulation power over the killers. Hearing about a story where the Survivors, Wraith, Nurse, Spirit, and Deathslinger, maybe even Artist and Twins (honestly not sure) would fight back against the Entity to try to free everyone. That would be cool.
Honestly, it's possible that's where the lore _is_ going. The last two survivors added both have a deep understanding of The Fog. Haddie spent years hunting down "Overlaps," the areas where the "Ravage" (the Entity's realm) bled into our world. She could also see and sense these overlaps from the outside ... so maybe she can see them from the inside too. Now we are getting Vittorio, a character who has spent so long in the fog that he has an innate understanding of how the rules work, probably like Vigo did. Going backwards we have Mikaela, a spellcaster haunted by the Entity, and Elodie who devoted her life to uncovering ancient secrets after apparently summoning an Overlap in Blight's old laboratory. Elodie also battled with the dark occultists who keep popping up in the lore. In short, we're starting to get a cast of characters who understand The Fog, have manipulated The Fog, and can see the weak spots in the veil between The Fog and our world. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we start getting diplomatic characters, or perhaps a priest who has previously exorcised a possessed person. The kind of people who might be able to snap the Entity-Touched killers out of their illusions, and secure their help in escaping.
The point you brought up about Victor with the three eyes reminded me of Maurice. What if three eyes represent something of corrupted resurrection or something the entity brought in for the killers but like the maps can't get it exactly right
While the Hillbilly is capable of monsterous acts there is nothing in the story that indicates Hillbilly would be willing to hunt those that have not wronged him. Every kill he's gotten was in response to the people that abused him and let it happen. The Hillbilly likely does have violent urges but the white eyes and manipulation could come from the fact that the entity wants Hillbilly to play with a passion for murder by making him see his parents and the police officers that abused him. The doctor could also be manipulated, not for the purposes of making him compliant but because this is a hell dimension for everyone. The doctor in many of his cosmetics are banged up and horrifying usually showcasing the aftermath of some botched surgery. I don't think the entity would need to torture this guy to make him kill and torture humans. Its possible that the delusions his victims are under are the same ones the entity puts him under, just food for thought. Wraith is an interesting case since his back story was changed last minute to fit with the map that was ready at the time, autohaven wreckers. Originally he was supposed to come with the swamp grim pantry map and have a completely different more fitting back story for a guy called "The Wraith" However looking at the narrative we have with him. I never got the impression that he was a killer, just some poor kid that got tricked and committed whats known as a crime of passion. This manipulation to keep him effencently acting as an avenger is likely needed to prevent the wraith from feeling empathy for his victims.
I actually do belive Victor to be himself, he died during a Ritual that would of sacrifice the twins to the Entity if I'm not mistaken. So if the Entity had his soul it could of given him back. Theres also the third eye, which seems to be a form of apology the Entity does to those it harmed. Think of Maurice who was burned by the fog when escorted the clown to the Entity's realm only then to be given a third eye
I'm convinced that the killers themselves feed the entity with emotions as well, they all feel despair and hope equally when it comes to catching their prey or seeing it get away.
I like to picture that that the ink used in the eyes of the artist blind her to the reality of the situation also blinding her white eyes and the entity makeing her hands ink and toung she may belive she isn't even killing at all just a thought
So many theories that I'd almost say it would be criminal for BHVR to come out and just make a plain declaration! Sometimes, headcannon makes some fun links, but definitely some interesting theories.
I think The artist finds herself in a very specific emotional state when she arrives to the entity's realm. In part, she genuinely believes she's a killer, even though she isn't directly responsible for anyone's death. On the other side, she is a husk of the person that she was, acting completelly animalistic along with some actions that tie her to her past as an artist (lifting her hand up to place birds looks like she's laying paint on a canvas). So that's my explanation why she doesn't need to be manipulated by the entity during the trials.
I vaguely recall there being a theory that Artist was actually the entity in human-ish form... Something about her backstory seeming to be schizophrenic, like background noise just to justify the existence of a new body in the fog...
I've never heard of this theory since I don't know much about the lore of the game outside of the character bios. But after watching this video, it seems like it is an intentional choice made by devs. I think the Entity-touched idea is a pretty good way of explaining it, so yeah, I'm a believer
with hillbilly and wraith I think the answer is both, let me explain; the entity touched eyes not only alter the survivors, but also how the killers percieve the enviroment (like aura perks) but since both perks affect the vision of the killer directly the eyes are affected too
I honestly think Spirit can be left out of the white eyes group. Ju-on and Ringu, the most likely main inspirations for her, both show that Onryu can and will spread their vengeance to random third parties.
Another one of my theories mostly only for spirit is that the entity made a bargain that if she kills survivors, it promises that it will give her revenge. Like a deal of sorts that will never be fulfilled
I think with Artist that she's not even real. Her body was taken but entity crows changed to ink are controlling her dead body and replacing her limbs. That would explain why she's screaming like a crow ( or atleast try cause it sounds more like she was choking on ligma )
I think Hillbilly does not see his parents specifically but, rather he sees the survivors as if they're mocking him because of his deformities. That's all that is needed to boost his rage to absurd levels!
Carmina or artist is also visably hybridized with crow stuff, and most the dark eyes are physically tortured or have their old fight/hunt instincts turned up to like 100+ at the least. This means that she might just have artificial eldritch crow brain going on during the matches....
Spirit wasn't really willing to kill before encountering the entity, her willingness came after she got bodied by her father here she met the entity shortly thereafter. Alternatively the white eyes could be an indicator of how willing they are you kill post entity meeting, or people the entity has made a promise to, like spirits revenge, doctors experiments, shades safety, deathslingers purpose and recognition, hillbilly's freedom, etc.
I think this is very interesting and highly accurate. it just makes sense, not only that. it gives a cool story too. but especially with Spirit it makes sense.
*Do you think this theory is true?* Do you have any personal theories about this, or any plot holes that can invalidate this mystery?
Is their a way can we be friends on dbd?
i honestly think they didnt think of that in the beginning. But after the Theory became more Popular they decided it was actually a good idea.
I think this is true.
Id like to think that the white eyes means the entity has increased the rage beneath them, or sedated them to keep them in line.
If you see nemesis image in dbd, he has a white dot in his eye, this could be simply a reflection of light... but what if this is the entity's touch to make him think the survivors are his new mission? This makes sense, because nemesis only chases his objectives... idk, just a theory

That’s an interesting theory, maybe it manipulates Hillbilly into thinking that all realms are his property too!
Maybe the same could go for leatherface too, since he’s also focused on keeping his land safe. And the Oni could possibly see people as either the farmers who killed him or the fake samurai’s he despised

that's a good one
That's really good and would tie into rancor as she wouldn't want to let her obsession escape more than anyone.
She could even see the other survivors as people protecting her father/getting in the way of her revenge.
Because everytime a person enters the farm, Billy kills them
What if his entire past is manipulated?
Similar to Hillbilly, Wraith might see the survivors as the soldiers that killed his family and friends. He might also see them as Azarov as well. Both of which would bring a lot of emotion out of Wraith.
In my opinion, the artist isnt manipulated, she has completely lost her mind, and maybe she thinks she's a crow with super powers, maybe she just sees herself as a carnivorous bird that casts ink to catch it's victims

What a tragic story those two have
I also think that it's not the same victor, but as something more vicious and blood thirsty.
Well i think the doctor would just plainly refuse to work as the lacky if he knew he was just a killer he has to much pride for that
The Artist has 2 cuts on her side, which leak black ink instead of blood. Her hands also lack any blood and are instead ink filled. This shows that the artist is controlled by the entity and that she cannot think for herself because she is already dead. Her carcass is being used by the entity.
wooooooah that is WILD
The eyes always weirded me out when I first saw them. Initially I thought it was because they were blind because of Billy's lightborn
id always thought that the white eyes indicated killers who had died before the entity took them, and that the black eyes like Clown and Huntress indicated they were the entity's favorites, while normal eyes meant they were alive, and not particularly favored. but this makes so much more sense lol
Deathslinger didn't die, which is the biggest problem I had with that theory. Oni would have had white eyes too if it were the case
I also remember, that one of huntresses perks actually states, that the entity is afraid of her bloodlust. Or something like that?
@MintSkull Well. To get particular the Oni could've became what he hated most. A literal Oni, and honestly it could've happened due to supernatural beings and magics.
I thought there was a theory that the Huntress was against the entity. She was caught in a war after the death of her mother, also in the lore book it states she would protect children (although poorly as they would die from starvation and hypothermia)
i’d say trickster is favored. i don’t think he’s tortured by the entity. he just does his thing
19:42 I always loved the fact that the Entity can't manipulate Pyramid no matter how hard IT tries.
And he's there to hunt the servicers for running away from there sins. Also if I recall lore wise every surviver sees him as there own sin.

The Artist has crow eyes so I believe that entity made her more crow than human
That actually makes way more sense, they definetly look like crow eyes!
That is a really cool theory!
I think this crow ink injection has literally made her an Entity's minion, like Trapper but in more sophisticated way. She's one of the favorite and one of it's thousands bird watchers but with the ability to kill and generate emotions.
New lore adds the entity know her long before her death. She painted pictures of him and his realm and that made her a target.
HOLD UP... don't her birds have white eyes???
Honestly, for The Artist, I had a kinda dark theory that while her mind is still her own, the body she has isn't. Basically she has her subconscious locked up and is alive in a bodily prison that she can't control. The ink and crows are the thing moving her body and working it, while her emotions of all the pain she's had in her life are stored in her broken, trapped mind. Kind of the ultimate hell and a poetic one of sorts that her whole life she's been in a jail of her life not being her own and now in the realm, she has no control to change anything anymore.
New passive: Whenever a survivor flashlight clicks The Artist, she temporary regains control and has the ability to open exit gates for survivors
When Spirit uses her mori it does feel personal as if a child yelling at their parent. More personal than brutal.
In the case of The Spirit’s father, the devs confirmed that The Entity was going to take Rin’s father, but chose Rin instead.
@@MintSkull so, does that mean if I stop calling him Oni my chances to escape against him will rise to 100%. I need to check this
@@irregularassassin6380 Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, while it could be true that charlotte is being manipulated because of her eyes, it is also could be said her eyes are like that because she was on the cusp of dying to frostbite (she probably did die to frostbite then the entity took her)
Deathslinger knows that he killed them

I don't think Bubba is a problem at all for this theory. His mental is the same of a scared child, and children are easy to manipulate. I would say Bubba is the same as Plague: Both don't need any visual aid in the trials to be manipulated, since Bubba will kill anyone as long as he has a reason to.

8:10 I like that slick transition between clips btw, it adds a nice little sparkle of touch to the video 😂
The "Entity touched eyes" has been my favorite theory since years, and it makes complete sense.
Wraith sees Azarov and the mercenaries he met as a child
Hillbilly sees his parents and the police officers that abused him
Nurse sees the asilum's patients that need to be killed out of mercy
Spirit sees her father and the bullies that bullied her
Deathslinger sees Bayshore, the prison warden and the bullies from when he was a kid
Also another reason why Charlotte has partial white eyes could be because the Entity is munipulating her into seeing the real Victor instead of the one created/brought back to life by the Entity itself. You'd think she would realize it isn't the real Victor by the third eye and would not obey the Entity, so she is manipulated to see the real one instead.

Love the music selection!
Thank you!
the plague has normal eyes because shes devoted to the entity (because she believes the entity is her god) so the entity probably just told her "hey go kill these guys lol" and the plague was probably like "ok big man whatever you say"

to me it seems like Nemesis also has the white Eyes.

Transitions in this video went hard, good editing
I call them eyes of vengeance since deathslinger twins and hillbilly both killed out of revenge
I hope this will be canon
I have some additions!
1: Maybe Plague isn’t just following the will of her god, but also was told by the Entity that doing so would cure her people from the Plague.
2: perhaps it /does/ affect her, but she’s willing to do anything to save her people.
3: I’m personally not sure if Hillbilly would kill indiscriminately, the Entity could be making him think he’s in danger though, like by making him see the deputies as well as his parents. (Maybe I just like nicer Hillbilly lol)
4: The Artist could be seeing the survivors as the company that was stealing art, and believes that she needs to act or they’ll hurt someone, especially as she blames herself for Matias’s and her friends deaths, and may think that if she doesn’t act, that will happen again.
5: The Artist could also see the survivors as herself, since she blames herself already, this could be the Entity making her feel even more guilty, and she could be taking her anger out on herself, or seeing herself as a monster and trying to rid the world of it. (I know this is a wild theory lol)
Great video! I love Dead by Daylight theories! (And read way too much of the lore lol)
Duh
It can’t be as simple as them just seeing people they hate but there’s more
Myers doesn’t need the entity to mess with his eyes because as Dr Sam Louis puts it “purely and simply evil”
Which can also add more proof that the entity despises Michael for not having anyway of altering him to the entity’s liking
DOES HE
KNOW?
Hey that “wild” fan theory about the shadow creatures ain’t no joke. THOSE CREEPS WERE IN OUR PRE GAME LOBBIES FOR A WHILE
I'm not sure if this is something that is possible with the lore of this world or not, but I think it would be really cool if they wrote a story in the archives about an alternate Entity Realm where the Entity has lost it's manipulation power over the killers. Hearing about a story where the Survivors, Wraith, Nurse, Spirit, and Deathslinger, maybe even Artist and Twins (honestly not sure) would fight back against the Entity to try to free everyone. That would be cool.
Someone like Trapper or Wraith would probably willingly work with survivors if given the chance.
What if three eyes represent something of corrupted resurrection or something the entity brought in for the killers but like the maps can't get it exactly right
8:09 what a transition...
I've always assumed killer with white eyes were killers that still has some form of humanity attached before being taken by the entity.
Me now playing friendly Spirit only -> confuses the Entity -> Matrix glitches out.
That's such a cool design, the things says those types of ghosts that spirit is- bare the way they died

I think the Entity-touched idea is a pretty good way of explaining it, so yeah, I'm a believer
id love to see the entity take a part on these trials. an entity based killer, a spider or something
White eyes means he runs noed
with hillbilly and wraith I think the answer is both, let me explain; the entity touched eyes not only alter the survivors, but also how the killers percieve the enviroment (like aura perks) but since both perks affect the vision of the killer directly the eyes are affected too
Second theory, they all have cataracts
I honestly think Spirit can be left out of the white eyes group. Ju-on and Ringu, the most likely main inspirations for her, both show that Onryu can and will spread their vengeance to random third parties.
I actually added this detail to a killer I made in a fan-made chapter concept. The killer has white eyes for the same reason as Deathslinger.
Ligma crows
I think Hillbilly does not see his parents specifically but, rather he sees the survivors as if they're mocking him because of his deformities. That's all that is needed to boost his rage to absurd levels!
Carmina or artist is also visably hybridized with crow stuff, and most the dark eyes are physically tortured or have their old fight/hunt instincts turned up to like 100+ at the least. This means that she might just have artificial eldritch crow brain going on during the matches....
I think another thing to add is all the white eye killers (except doc) all experienced some form of serious tragedy
Yeah, I think the artist believes she owes her life to the entity, and will do anything for it. After all, she believes the crows saved her twice.

For the doctor, if it's not electricity it could be the entity manipulating him into thinking he isn't feeling agonising pain
I think this is very interesting and highly accurate. it just makes sense, not only that. it gives a cool story too. but especially with Spirit it makes sense.
