Guilty Gear Strive is a fighting video game developed and published by Arc System Works. It is the seventh mainline installment of the Guilty Gear series and the 25th overall. The game was released worldwide on June 11, 2021. It uses Unreal Engine 4. Intended as a "complete reconstruction of the franchise", Guilty Gear Strive retains the core essence of the series but revamps many features and mechanics, except for the removal of the series’ signature mechanic, the Instant Kill. It introduces the "Wall Break" feature, which allows for stage transitions when a combo is initiated in the corner of the arena. Guilty Gear Strive was released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Microsoft Windows on June 11, 2021. It was also distributed via Sega to Japanese arcades on July 29, 2021. "Limited Edition" and "Ultimate Edition" editions were made available for pre-order; console players who get the latter received early access to the full game on June 8, 2021.
Brawlhalla is a free-to-play 2D platformer fighting game developed by Blue Mammoth Games and Ubisoft for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Steam, iOS, and Android, with full cross-play across all platforms. It also has some of the most satisfying combo mechanics of any fighting game I've played, because doing successful low damage to kill combos is extremely hard. You have to either 100% know where your opponent is going or just make up some wacky play and hope for the best. It makes the kills all the more exciting. Brawlhalla has reached OVER 1 million in esports prize pools this year and over 50 million online players in total.
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (ストリートファイターⅢ サードストライク Sutorīto Faitā Ⅲ Sādo Sutoraiku?) is the third installment of the Street Fighter III series, released in 1999. A sequel to Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact, it continues the series' use of the parry system, command grabs, and overhead attacks. At Comic Con 2010, a new downloadable online version entitled Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition was announced.[1] It was released on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in August 2011. The arcade version of the game was also re-released in the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection in 2018.
Street Fighter 6 is the sixth numbered fighting game in Capcom's Street Fighter series. It was released on June 2nd, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X, with an arcade version later in the year. The eight world warriors from Street Fighter II return, as well as Cammy and Dee Jay from Super Street Fighter II, Juri from Super Street Fighter IV, and Luke from Street Fighter V. The new characters are the drunken boxer Jamie, the judoka Manon, the pankratiast Marisa, the Bushin-ryuu student Kimberly, Lily of the Thunderfoot tribe, and the Psycho Power-wielding JP. The game is split into three modes: World Tour is a lengthy single player mode where you create an avatar character and learn techniques from the masters. Battle Hub is a giant video arcade where you can challenge other players online. Fighting Ground has the traditional fighting game modes such as arcade, versus, training, tutorials, and trials.
Tekken 7 (鉄拳7) is a fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is the seventh main and ninth overall installment in the Tekken series. Tekken 7 was released to arcades in March 2015. An updated arcade version, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, was released in July 2016, and features expanded content including new stages, costumes, items and characters. The home versions released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows in June 2017 were based on Fated Retribution. Set shortly after the events of Tekken 6, the plot focuses on the events leading up to the final battle between martial artist Heihachi Mishima and his son, Kazuya. Tekken 7 introduces several new elements to the fighting system such as Rage Arts and the Power Crush mechanic, making the game more beginner friendly than previous iterations in the series. Tekken 7 was a critical and commercial success, selling over 9 million copies as of June 2022. A sequel, Tekken 8, is in development.
BlazBlue is a fighting video game series developed and published in Japan by Arc System Works and later localized in North America by Aksys Games and in Europe by Zen United. An anime adaptation aired in autumn 2013. The game series has sold 1.7 million games in August 2012.

Grappler main here, we're actually really stupid. You should always press buttons on wakeup against grapplers. We won't punish you.
Never beating the glue allegations
It's still so crazy to me that Tekken characters almost always have over 100 moves. On a more on-topic note: I've always found Bullet from Blazblue super interesting as she's a grappler who combos you, but dashing on a Dualsense joystick in Centralfiction is so clunky that I never bothered to get into the game. (and D-pad makes special inputs a lot harder so I opt not to use that usually)
@@owencmyk dude...tager sounds perfect for you
@@keithlee1007 I tried tager, but I prefer faster paced combo heavy characters. It's not really that I don't want to dash, more that I want to dash but don't like the input
I do main Potemkin in strive and tbh i love it when people say i am a glue eater, the image of a guy putting many hours in just labbing losing to a guy who eats glue sounds very funny to me, and i think that this is what other grapplers think as well, i am noticing that the nick name "glue eater" is mostly used by the grappler them selfs, but i am a guy who dose not step a foot in twitter so who knows maybe i am wrong
True
Not only grappler players, people I play with also get on the joke and call me a glue eater because its funny
Grapplers mains calling themselves Glue Eaters is a very Grappler main thing to do
I like the glitter elmers cuz it's spicy
5:49 okay okay senior typhoon
Had to at least not completely butcher it
Gappler invest 3\4 of the match patiently advancing to get where I am while masterfully defending to not die , then outbrains me two times in a row so I make a mistake huge enough to connect the high execution grapple when I have 45% more life than him, and kills me with less than 5% of their life.
Rushdown just neutral skips then press buttons with plus frames without pause until one randomly pierces, force me into the corner and kills me without ever taking any risk or leaving the flowchart.
Shoto does the same as the gorilla, just with more fireballs and invuln defending every time.
Grapplers NO DOUBT need more brain to just exist. Winning agdinst a good grappler is a true badge of honor. Losing against a good grapler is an incredible fun ride.
I don't play grapplers, but for sure love fighting them.
Well said
Crazy how Zangief didn't appeared on the video.
I don't like grapplers, *I FEAR THEM*
As a guy who, for some reason, always chooses the character with low health/low defense, I really fear them, they are always watching you, getting close to you, then, all of a sudden, you lose 35%-70% from a command grab :(
I feel you so much. Pixie character main for life ❤. And also help me im getting clipped
I fully understand why people hate grapplers, but after you mindgame someone into jumping on wake-up and you hard read it with an anti-air throw for the first time, how do you NOT get hooked on the archetype?
Hey uh makoto got 7th, she a grappler :)
I love grapplers solely cuz BIG SLAMS, and making people scared as hell and kill them for blocking :)
Also dont forget armor king, the rare footsies armor king, or ice climbers, the only puppeteer grappler i know of
True, although I’ve seen some people argue otherwise
King player here, and the happiest a man can be is watching someone break down when they realize how much damage the RDC or King's Bridge is. The slow realization that they lost half of their life because they called tails.
As a aba player I kinda get it working around such limitations to get a sweet reward is so satisfying and you feel like a genius when things go your way
brother we KNOW you're a grappler main, it shows
until you pick up Guile
I wouldn’t necessarily say a grappler becomes more intelligent because they passed an execution barrier with Kara Cancels.
I play Sol, by all means I am still a complete dunce despite knowing how to 6S Kara and tK H-VV for big Sol bombos. Execution just comes down to practice
Small correction here: there are no such things as "grapplers" in platform fighters the closest we get is heavy weights and the fast "grapplers" are bait and punish is due to the fact that every characters in each game Has the amazing grab game so If we apply that then all characters in all platfrom fighters would be grapplers
Edit: also tezca is more rushdown focused
@@henrybitencourt we have donkey kong in melee
@@gfxb3177 we have Fox shiek marth Falco Falcon basically everyone including the unviable garbage such as ness Zelda bowser and Kirby grabs is super important in their punish and neutral game tho you're right donkey Kong is the closest thing we have to a grappler
Of course we dont eat glue... We drink paint, duh!
exactly
How id go about grapplers would be to give em decejt whiff punishment or lots of utility off grabs, side switching, oki, meter drain, counter hit launcher, punish counter launcher, just ways to add depth to em while still revolving around grabs

No... no we are not...
4:26 I know it was likely said for simplicity sake but back mega fist is plus and very safe the issue is it well, goes backward, kara canceling it allows it to go slightly forward
Yes I should have explained more
BRAWLHALLA MENTIONED BABY OUR GAME IS A REAL GAME💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
I play mainly shotos and a side of grapplers , and As a professional red crayon devouring champion, I love playing grapplers . My favorite grapplers are easily Shermie ( kof ) and potemkin. Idc about playing with logic , When it comes to grapplers, I huff 24/7 gallons of glue
Grapplers are true kings, queens, and themperors. Our skillset isn't "ordinary" by most concepts but it's valid and absolutely as worthwhile as anything else!
I main grapplers in some of my fighting games and i love when people try to say grapplers are easy and i'm just like "oh my sweet summer child.😂
got a love hate relationship with grappler mains
Don’t we all
I main gief and i hate some gief mains ngl, some are laggy and rage quit frequently
I main certain characters rather than one hard archetype and I will say I generally have to think 2x as hard when playing my grappler mains than my shoto mains, and 3x as hard then when I'm playing my rushdown mains. Honestly the only exception would be Rashid, but I honestly think of him closer to a Setplay character than a shoto or rushdown.
RAAHHHHH RUSHDOWN REVOLT MENTIONED WOOOOOOOOO
4:23 bmf is plus on block bossman kbmf is minus but still safe
ah my bad I inverted it
I don't play many fighting games but one of my favorites is Your Only Move Is Hustle, and Robot, the game's grappler, is just perfect for me. He's got tools for almost everything, is relatively fast, and has both great single hit damage and long lasting combos. Despite all that he's actually pretty mid by the standards of that game's balance, yet people still constantly quit out against me the moment I land a single hit and that makes me sad :(
I talked about that game in a previous video, my favourite is the robot too
As a main grappler, I can tell you that there are two types of grappler haters.
The "hater" who usually just hates and complains about the meme. He doesn't mean it. He is NOT a main grappler and most likely genuinely suffers against them but understands the archetype.
And the real hater who is most likely a main rushdown and goes online to vent after being command grabbed three times in a row. Is unable to recognize how to fight a grappler and instead of asking to themselves what they are doing wrong decides to hate the archetype. Is very serious but using the terminology that is now a meme because truly believes that everyone on the internet really hates grapplers because hating grapplers must be a universal truth.
Watching Theory's new video about the frame perfect trick in SF4 will help you appreciate Grapplers more since he goes into Kara more indepth.
True
Hayao's caked up
I play heavy characters but they tend to have few grabs like bedman or goldlewis.
I was trying kof for the first time with kof 13 and first time in my life I understood how graplers are fun.(I was playing vice)
My perspective as a grapple main is that I really don't think, sorry but I am stereotype. That glue was just looking too damn tasty for me to pass.
Back mega fist is +5?
I mispoke
El Fuerte movement style is base of Ring Of Destruction: Slam Masters 2 gameplay but without run cancel combo, el fuerte has run stop cancel its similiar but function differently.
also i don't know would call myself a grappler player but as a Slam Masters 2 player would that count ?
finding out typhoon is a grappler main is equivalent to kids finding out santa isn't real (this is a joke) will always love the vids
I hate King... because I'm a Yoshimitsu main and it breaks my heart that he has more moves. 😭
But seriously, as *the* grappler for Tekken, I find King fascinating. Toward the higher levels of play his grabs are *super* risky: they can be ducked, they can be broken out of, and on wiff it's total punishment. He definitely needs to mix up his throws with other moves and movement, and his throw inputs are extensive strings. I find his skill ceiling to be very high and good Kings are an utter fucking mix-up menace, but in a way I can respect.
I feel like some grapplers are more braindead than others. I main Alpha 2 Zangief and I can't deny that it feels like I only need one brain cell to play him there, especially with magic grab
I'll have you know, typhoon smells amazing
I just play the rule of cool. I main king in tekken just due the fact i think hes cool. I dont have a option on any character archetype due to the fact i play all of them. At some point.
True
Should have dropped my comment on here and not the community post.
Well at least you did now
Once in a lifetime typhoon upload 😂
I know right
I do main grapplers, I am like the knockoff version of Snake Eyez, I have been maining grapplers since 1995 with Zangief on SF2, (I am currently 31 year)
like fr, if it aint grappler I dont main it and of course I can learn a couple character for each game but my main will always be a grappler and I will continue to main them for as long as play FGs.
and I just wanna say, Iron Tager is the most fun grappler I have ever played in my entire life.
