Diamon Destine I almost threw my remote through the tv when he got eliminated by a literal flea. The disrespect to my favorite character was hard to watch.
GorditoKawaii I know right why couldn't he show a new techniques. or a new transformation this made him look so dumb because goku figured that out faster than him and he is supposed to be the smartest
gokus naïve stupid unsympathetic lacks empathy but he was never dumb on purpose...hes selfish but not to hurt others directly...its the problem with aging him up yet having magical balls that fix everything so any development over loss is wiped away cause we can just wish people back and make the same mistakes with no consequences
Honestly the biggest let down is Goku in the show he’s ridiculously childish and immature while being completely over powered compared to the rest of the characters he still gets trashed by the majority of villains
@@Thefellowmemeguy goku is supposed to be slow not stupid. He's too immature in super and does nothing but mess up and wanna fight. Goku wants to be stronger and seeks to do so by fighting strong opponents but at least in Z he recognized the stakes and realized the seriousness of the situation. In super for example the goku black arc the first thing he says to black is "i HeArD uR sTrOnG"
@@joaquinmuniz3055 You could say Goku Black was a self-fulfilling prophecy. Zamasu hated mortals long before Goku showed up, but when Goku wanted to fight Zamasu and Zamasu was defeated by a mortal, that was the drop that broke the barrel. If Goku wouldn't hadn't been so persistent to fight him, there might not even be a Goku Black.
@@hyperwatch721 stop it.. the original dragon ball was never that bad...db super takes the nonsense to new heights.. i cannot take ANYONE seriously... also future trunks' blue hair looks stupid
To me the single biggest let down is that they didn't let Vegeta just kill Golden Frieza...I mean...does Goku ALWAYS have to be the Hero. Vegeta being just plain mean, and showing no mercy was the perfect way for that to wrap up IMO.
It's be more unexpected if Cabba turned out to be the malicious one after they suspected Frost. A reminder that Saiyans were never nice, either. Goku became nice because of head trauma.
one of the things im most sad about is how useless everyone that isnt a sayian is. Krillen, Tien, Picollo... they are in the end worthless.... which is a shame
buu should of been in the top over tien..what was even the point of him being there?...roshi at least had a good moment where he was willing to die for his students..that was a good callback....trunks not being there over roshi at least made thematical sense...even if logically trunks ssj should be a better option tien just wasted my time..buu would of been cool in the top
toriyama made them useless the very moment freeza saga ended.... That was literally the point after which he completely ignored such nice characters.. the problem is not exclusive to super, it started much earlier.. And anyway, toriyama is famous for forgetting his own characters and plot points ( im looking at launch rn) TOP was the first arc since namek saga when anybody except saiyans and piccolo could actually do something
inagine if before that goku tries the spirit bomb and fails; so trunks absorbs it into his sword with the ending like you suggested. Not only does it explain how he got the spirit sword and power, but it a nice reference to android 13's spirit saiyan or the last dbz movie with dragon fist.
It should’ve ended with the final kamehameha the fight between Vegito and zamasu should’ve been at least 2 or 3 episodes long and it should’ve ended in a climactic bean struggle with Vegito over powering zamasu or something. Honestly the beam struggle isn’t even necessary to be honest. It could just simply end when Vegito unleashed the final kamehameha and that should’ve killed zamasu. What was the point of even bringing Vegito back if all they wanted to do was make Zeno the one who defeats zamasu
The whole "fan backlash against Gohan in the Buu arc caused him to be replaced" rumor is an annoying and unsubstantiated misconception. Gohan was the most popular character in popularity polls ran in Shonen Jump during the Cell and Buu arcs. Fans loved him. Toriyama has outright stated that HE was the one who didn't think Gohan was suited to the part of the lead role and that's why he decided to bring Goku back.
LumRanmaYasha Nope, Toriyama just figured that everyone loves Goku. Why the fuck do you think he cashed in on him? He as been around longer. Doesn't matter what the polls say, at the end of the day, Toriyama wanted that Penthouse and Goku had the potential to give it to him.
I think my biggest let downs were: 1. Power scaling 2. During there fights they always swing there arms fast at each other while screaming DADADADADADADADADADADADADADA
Enroca La Roca I just felt like they seriously ruined the whole super saiyan transformation. Ik it’s been a problem since the buu saga but super takes it to a whole different level
The entire plot of Super is my biggest grip with this series. Nothing feels important. There's almost no real mystery or enticement to the story. It just feels like the story is there just to be there.
This was the same problem a friend told me too. Every arc is seen as a game, and as said in a previous video, they pretty much don´t win anything from it. - Beerus came, caused a tantrum, he "slept", they "won - Frieza came back, he destroyed the Earth, but the plot armor time rewinding ability of Whis saved the day - Tournament of Universe 6 and 7 is just a game between Beerus and Champa. Even if they lost, they would only switch to another universe. Isn´t like there was something at risk - Goku Black´s arc probably was the best written arc in the anime so far, but the conclusion of it was a disaster. They didn´t defeat Zamasu, they didn´t save the future (it´s even worse in the manga, since Zamasu and Black erase all the mortals left on Earth), they didn´t won at all. They used a last resort plot convenience to "win". Yet, the main objective failed. Zamasu actually won. - In all honesty, all this is the same from the Tournament of U6 & 7, and make it only for the entertainment of Zeno, because (it happened in the first original arc of Super too), it was because Goku couldn´t handle his "fighting boner", and led everyone to a situation of risk (that no one cares about, for only 3 universes, which are 7, 6 & 11),introducing the "ultimate rival" with inconsistent changes of personality from episode to episode
There is truth in what you say but at the same time you are wrong. Each dragon ball series has it's own theme. As someone in youtube once said; dragon ball was about adventure and collecting the dragon balls, dragon ball z was about saving the earth from earthly and alien threats, and dragon ball super is about goku pushing his limits by challenging gods and different universe warriors. The problem with super is that it was toned down for kids of pu**y parents.
Something to consider is that there's an endgame result here. Goku fighting Uub in the World Tournament a few years after Pan's born. Which of all things was said to not be retconned. Super's goal is to be a fun little insert.
@@dylanmcshane9976 I can see your point of view. But maybe looking at it from a different perspective can help make it more tolerable enjoyable (helped me). As someone in the comments once said; db was about adventure and collecting the dragon balls, dbz was about saving the world from monstrous threats, and dbs IS about pushing abd surpassing one's limits.
TRM 24 I wouldn’t say nerfed, more so akin to the u6 tourney with Goku to a much further extent. Jiren is at/above god of destruction level, and Hit feared Champa (and can be inferred he still does) so him being simply outmatched by Jiren is logical.
I agree, it's BS that they gave Fat Buu a fit body similar to Super Buu and do literally nothing with that angle. He could have made for a very interesting fighter in the Universe Tournament. Instead, no, let's just shoehorn in Frieza again. It's not like people could possibly get sick of him at some point, especially since we already brought him back earlier in Super.
but Buu is Ss3 level while they brought Frieza up to God level (albeit with bullshit),and they wanted to use the plot twist of him fighting along the saiyans,Buu has already done that and he's not great at conversations
i get not asking chiaotzu yamcha satan videl chi chi popo eigter korin yajirobe namm giran tao shen choppa grampa gohan but like we cant have buu or trunks in the tournament so roshi and tien can be there?...really guys? ...smdh..does anyone care about either of them at this point?..buu and trunks would of been better choices..lets get the legit 10 best fighters on earth in there..tiens not on that level of a ssj and roshi is a joke now... like i cant believe they chose roshi over trunks..wtf ..waste of space...i get he had more reason to be there for his character development fanservice but tien is clearly stronger yet given less reason to be there than even roshi and then we got buu just sleeping and trunks experience mattering even though earlier goku allowed the boys to fight buu to save the world rather than take care of fat buu as a ssj 3 earlier on..smdh..this is the kind of retcon shit i hate in this series..he was okay leaving the fate of the universe to 2 kids before but now hes not?..okay writers smdh...the buu excuse sucks but fine whatever...kid trunks deserved to go there...there was no legit reason he wasn't chosen over roshi ..strength matters
@@derpderogation735 Him actually doing well? He should've dominated, then Zamasu does some weird magic trick to rip out the god ki and separate the fusion then Zamasu gets sealed in the Mafuba.
I disagree. I never felt like he was nerfed and never thought he was underpowered. He wrecked face throughout the entire fight and while he did take some hits, it never felt like they mattered. He's cruel enough to let his opponent think they're winning just to create the perfect opening. That being said, he was nerfed by the retcon to the earrings. The decision to make the earrings end 'whenever the writers want them to' makes them no better than the fusion dance and was... dumb.
He was way more serious in DBZ. Not to mention, it wasn't just moments where he was angry either. The majority of DBS, Goku is only serious when someone does something messed up.
So true to that & in this series makes Goku look like a total dumbass with doing childish tricks of making him do on stupid actions of thinking time upon like how he did. In DBZ he was WAAAAAAAY MORE SERIOUS & did more acts of thought instead of just being a total dumbass in Super 😒. Geez, even in when he fought Vegeta for the first time on earth, he did both of not thinking to well but still thinking on parts where he can defeat him but pretty much it was a stalemate of a draw in both Goku losing to him & Vegeta losing at the sametime but once Goku fought Frieza on Planet Namek & becoming a SSJ with Frieza getting his ass whooped & now in Super he lets him fight along side with him, that’s VERY TOO STUPID to do & he could’ve killed him in the “Tournament of Powers” & plus the so called “Ultra Instinct Form” IS NOT A TRANSFORMATION, basically all it is just a “Godly Form” of the “Kaio-Ken Attack” in a clear sliverish color aura & to look at him that his hair is in his “Normal Base Form still with blackish color pupils”, if you want a “Transformation”, go from SSJ to SSJ3 & then up to SSJ4 bc the SSJG “Super Saiyan God Transformation” is still in his base form but with Red Hair & Red Eyes, that’s not a transformation either bc it’s just another power up boost just like I said before on the “Kaio-Ken Attack” is just another more powerful form from the other transformations, geez 😒 people, c’mon that the “Super Series” is pretty much both in between “Cannon & Non-Cannon” to the Series bc at the end of DBZ where Goku was fighting Kid Buu & then Uub appears at World Martial Arts Stadium. He doesn’t really know how to fly & control his own powers at that time, so Goku & Uub fly’s off back to Uub village so he can train him. While the 7 years of peace was supposed to be happening, that’s when Videl gets pregnant with Pan and goes into the GT SERIES people, c’mon now that you have to realize that the SSJ4 transformation is the utmost MOST POWERFUL Form through the ENTIRE SERIES 😒
@@lordblackheart6270 Well while I agree with most of it. But SSJ 4 is not the strongest form. Blue is the strongest Transformation, and MUI is the strongest form of all
Bardock SkyWalker Yeah, even after all that struggling and battling Future Trunks fought to protect his world AND even with the help of Goku, Vegeta, and even Future Mai and the resistance, his world AND his universe was still destroyed.

The Resurrection of F arc Goku Black arc ending (that arc has a special place in my heart) And the animation problem The Highs GOKU BLACK GOKU BLACK GOKU BLACK HIT HIT HIT ToP And most importantly DR ROTA
The animation isn't even a problem imo. Some MOMENTS during the first two arcs were animated really bad, other than that dbs has great animation. Saying the entire show is badly animated is pure ignorance.
The most unforgivable thing is the treatment of characters- the thing that in my opinion makes Dragon Ball and Z so likeable and where it gets most of its quality
Sophia Kotsariadis I have to agree with you on that. Very little to no one gets respect that isn’t out of fear. Beerus treated everyone like trash except goku and even then treated him like a toy. Goku suddenly lost respect for his friends and was unsympathetic and blunt to everyone without anyone calling him out. In the anime there’s smudged of respect but mostly littered with extreme lack of respect for earthlings. It’s even worse in the manga where everyone not Goku is treated with contempt especially the z fighters. Piccolo treated like a warm up for frost by Goku, and krillian and tien do literally nothing in the tournament of power but losing.
My biggest disappointment was the underutilization of Tienshinhan. Tien has been with us since the days of the original Dragon Ball, but his story arc ended before even Z began. But even in Z, he had badass moments that, while always being a Ki-Ko-Ho attack to the main villain of the Saga, was satisfying and showed that whilst humans like him and Krillin were becoming obsolete, they could punch above their weight. When I learned he would be in the Tournament of Power, I was so excited! One of my favorite human characters was going to useful! But his introductory 2-parter was mediocre, all he did early on was the Solar Flare as a distraction for the others, disappear for about 7 or 8 episodes after that, and being the second Universe 7 member to be eliminated from the tournament in a lackluster cool down episode. They didn't even give him anything new like they did Roshi and Krillin. EDIT: The manga hasn't helped Tien much either. He didn't get a single elimination. He tried attacking Frost, and that was it.
Trunks1stApprentice seriously? Does eliminating someone in the TOP does not make him relevant again? I mean compared to how he was in the buu saga the TOP brought relevance to krillin who has a good number of eliminations considering it's krillin, master roshi, gohan and piccolo who was reduced to a cheerleader in the buu saga.
Trunks1stApprentice What new thing did they give Roshi exactly? Iirc all his attacks in the TOP were used by him before. The problem with Tien is that he has no purpose anymore. He was a rival character and got replaced by Piccolo, then Piccolo got replaced by Vegeta, but Piccolo got a new purpose as Gohan's mentor. Tien only has Chiaotzu now and that's it. I really wish they would give him a purpose again
gotten should look older...he looks younger...trunks i can buy being a few years older than in z since he has a crush and dresses like a pre teen but he is pretty short but so was 15 year old goku so...gotten though looks 6...
@@razkable They're heavily modeling him after Goku in DB who was 11 when the show started, just as Goten is now. Someone, either Goku or Krillin I think, even mentioned it the first time Goku met Goten in DBZ.
Oh I definitely agree with number 1, I'm rewatching Dbz right now and there's that one scene in the Buu-arc where Goku doesn't allow his own son Goten as well as Trunks to mourne and cry about Gohan's and Vegeta's alleged and real death. Imagine your brother just died (at least that's what you think) and your *own dad* tells you to get over it and train to avenge him. Pretty cold-hearted right? But it was necessary in that situation because they hadn't had much time until earth would've been destroyed and the kids had to get going and master the fusion. Goku knew that and that's why he had to act like that, he was also kind of dumb and funny in Z from time to time but he was serious when he needed to. It's not like Super is completely different, but it does treat Goku even more goofy and his serious side is definitely shown lesser, which makes him lose credibility as a competent protagonist.
But yeah, my biggest letdown with Super is definitely how they wasted Buu and didn't give Krillin and Tenshinhan enough to do in the Tournament. A real waste of great characters.
LumRanmaYasha with buu I understand why toei kinda of avoids usage of him, one is and this was seen in Z, his extremely immature and childish personality and it’d be hard for them to work that into Arcs like the future trunks one where it’s a very serious issue, also we already have two overpowered characters in Vegeta and Goku, Buu would take things on a whole other level with his crazy regent and absorption abilities
They totally wasted Krillin, they made you care about him with entire episodes dedicated to him, and then eliminated him in the most retarded way possible. At least Tuenshinhan did something...
Blue Coc Sacrificing himself to eliminate an enemy. Tien kept his dignity as a warrior, like all the U7 fighters did when eliminated......except fuckin Krillin. I expected much more from him, even Shin was disappointed lol
number 1 couldn't agree more! I miss the pure rage! they sometimes can have. His UI helps in terms of serious fighting, but he is never really mad out of disspair!
MetroidJunkie true. I mean.. did anyone really want to see frieza again instead of buu?.. really? And they don't even revive him properly. It's just a temporary thing through uranai baba. How can he keep himself "alive" anyway? Goku had to return to heaven very damn quickly as soon as he used his SSJ3 transformation. Frieza must be using a whole fuck ton more of ki than goku did but there is no problem at all? And the stamina/ki consumtion of his golden form was mitigated by "mental training" in hell?! Come on. There is so much dumb stuff like this in the show, i'm surprised i kept watching regardless.
MetroidJunkie ikr? And they probably blame it on his spots again.. saying it's too much of a hassle to draw and animate him. But they could have easily fixed that by giving him a new transformation of some sort. Can you imagine how awesome it might have been? Resurrecting with a possible zenkai boost? Training in the chamber of spirit and time (after having first hand experience just how much a fighter can grow in there)? Fighting along side 17 and 18? And fucking gohan? He would have even been smarter than frieza. And he'd bring much more variety of powers and techniques to the table. It could have been so good...
Plus, his personality is perfect for a tournament setting because, thanks to the saiyan cells in him, he likes to fight and show off. Frieza, on the other hand, is an arrogant snob who would rather have minions do the dirty work for him. He's not much of a hands-on fighter, unless it comes to Goku because of a personal grudge. Heck, Cell even made his own tournament so getting him onboard with the tournament of power isn't a huge stretch.
Goku in super: „I never really fought to protect my friends, I just want to fight strong guys.“ Goku in Z: trained at king kai‘s to protect the earth from the saiyans. Fought frieza to protect his friends and turned super Saipan when Krillin died and frieza was about to kill Gohan. Fought Cell so that Gohan could watch their fight and get used to Cell‘s style more easily. Fought Majin Vegeta to defend him from himself. Fought Buu to protect Vegeta and the wished back earth. Hell, Z was just based on Goku trying to protect his family and friends.
@@Dioslux Actually I could care less about character from a different universe. I don't know hits orgin or story, yet there far better than people like broly, who they made soft. People think we really need backstory for 70 fighters in the tournament of power lol.
First Tien then Piccolo and now Gohan. Yep the writers love to make interesting characters only to shaft them and forget them in the end so he can focuse on goku alone. Favouritism killed this and when did it started? At King Piccolo's saga (if not dbz).
The biggest letdown for me will always be how they didn't let F-Trunks stay in the main timeline. God, you take everything away from the man & then give him a replacement timeline where he will forever remember that's not his timeline & be constantly reminded on how badly he fail dimension. You couldn't even let him participate in the TOP so he can have a chance to revive it.
I don't think Shenron is that powerful to bring a future timeline of Earth back from being erased. He has his limits with wishes. And F-Trunks can't do anything about it in the future because Zeno not only erased it, but Zamasu killed the gods and destroyed the dragon balls and Super dragon balls to prevent anyone from undoing his immortality. As much as I'd hate to admit it, his future timeline was pretty fucked in the end anyway. He could at least be in a replacement timeline where everyone he knew (that wasn't already dead) was alive and well and not killed off by a megalomaniac kai who hated humans and wanted them extinct. Besides staying in the main timeline wouldn't exactly please Beerus and Whis, since messing with time willy-nilly is a big no-no to them. Kind of the reason why Beerus destroyed Bulma's time machine.
> implying dragon Ball has ever been well written It's always been badly written and poorly animated. It's about cool fights and comedy. It's the epitome of a guilty pleasure.
Letdown: 1-Little to 0 development of everyone except Goku or Vegeta. 2-Piccolo elimination in U6-7 tournament. 3-Vegito redcon and Future Trunks ending. 4- Goten and Trunks still looks like 6-7 years old even though they should be 13-14.
AngelusKnight it's an anime age doesn't mean shit when it comes to looks even if other characters in the show clearly age because every anime is like this
@Sean . Nah that's bullshit and you know it. Saying that is "anime and that doesn't matter" only apply to animes where time hasn't pass, like the adventure of one arc only took place in 1 month or a couple of days. But in DBZ age and visual has always been important, even Gohan 5 years old looks different to 6 years old, because time did pass. In Super time has passed, Pan been born, the time between the end of buu arc and the RoF arc, etc , etc ,etc . So they are 13-14 years old. And that should be noted in the anime, they are just lazy and don't want to do a new goten and trunk model (even though they could re-use the the Teen trunks from the flashback future)
Let’s be honest. Super was the goku and vegeta show. Kind of hard to make piccolo the spotlight of attention when the shows literally concentrated mostly on those two
coolwaghmare Yeah because DragonBall Abridged is a parody. A comedy parody. While DragonBall Super is supposed to be a more serious show and it's an official continuation unlike Abridged. DBZA has its own identity as it's nothing official and no continuation
Pruefer WuesteLPC I know bruh.. But Goku was behaving like his abridged counterpart in entire super series.. DBZ Goku was serious when he needs to be. Now he is just obnoxious
Except he doesn't, at least with normal Ki, because : 1) Rodai Kaioshin revealed his full potential, making him the strongest "normal" fighter (so no fusions and stuff) of Universe 7 at the end of Z. 2) Super gave Frieza a gigantic power-up without giving him access to God Ki, sooooo... Yeah that pretty much means he's the greatest potential of U7 when speaking of normal Ki. BUUUUUUT, doesn't mean Gohan won't access to God Ki, if Vegeta did it, Gohan can too and, unless Toei decides otherwise, he will get something as teased in the TOP
They didn't, and they never will. Gohan having so much promise got too much backlash in Japan. He had his moment with Cell, and the minute the Majin Saga kicked off, his entire character died and was replaced with an edgy power ranger. He'll never have any sort of potential again.
Yeah i say the director should make an alternative timeline where right after buu saga, gohan's strength matches goku and vegeta. Able to reach more supersaiyan level more than mystique-gohan
The end of the Zamasu arc reminds me of the joke at the end of TFS Dead Zone Abridged. "Honestly, I wrote myself into a corner with that wish for immortality. I had to come up with SOMETHING."
Iirc it's been all but confirmed as a temporary break. Some of the voice actors even said they were contracted for ~700 episodes ~ back when Ep 115 came out I'm hopeful, but cautious
xTVthePunisherx The only thing giving me hope for this is that in all the statements by the producers, this is a temporary hiatus(translates better to "long break" rather than "hiatus"). There were a few tweets saying that the animators needed a break and Toriyama wanted to actually get a manga series ahead of the animations by a saga or two and he can do the manga, maybe do a movie or two and then bring the series back for the next saga. I'm hopeful and I know Toriyama isn't done
It’s an obvious April Fools joke... look when the replacement show is suppose to air... I don’t get why so many people are falling for the ‘DBS is cancelled/going on hiatus’ troll.
Not to mention, it would have made a great excuse to give Gogeta an official appearance for once, since the only time he appears is in Fusion Reborn and GT, both not considered canon.
The future trunks arc's ending really struck a nerve with me because it should of been the first arc where the z-fighters won without the assistance of Beerus and Whis. In retrospect of the other arcs they were pretty much training arc or there to establish the power hierarchy while there were no big risk. This arc was the perfect because it established villains who were threats and there were big steaks on the line but no, instead of being the z-fighters first clean victory, it had to be another lost. Oh well, here's to winning the Tournament of Power.
The art and animation in Dragon Ball Super is more often than not horrendous. It goes off-model almost as much as Dragon Ball Z did, but it has none of the high points that Dragon Ball Z had. To put it more simply: art-wise, Dragon Ball Super's lows are WAY lower than Dragon Ball Z's, and its highs don't come anywhere near Dragon Ball Z's. Story-wise, it's less formulaic than Dragonball Z was. But somehow, it still manages to be overall less interesting. I remember back when I was a kid, watching Gohan and Krillin sneaking around on Namek, avoiding enemies that were so much stronger than them. There was a genuine sense of dread, knowing that if these guys happen to run into Freeza, they WILL die. Now the entire UNIVERSE is at stake, and I don't care. And the reason I don't care is this: I have no reason to expect that this arc won't end on a huge cop-out like every other arc in this series has. -Beerus Arc: Goku loses, but Beerus decides not to blow up the universe by pretending to be asleep. -Freeza Arc: Goku loses, but Whis rewinds time so he can undo his mistake. -Universe 6 Arc: Goku gives up, but Hit decides to quit in the next match anyway. -Trunks Arc: Goku uses a LITERAL DEUS EX MACHINA BUTTON to save the day. There is absolutely no dramatic tension in this tournament arc, because the show has demonstrated in EVERY SINGLE previous arc that there are no consequences for the main characters, even when they lose. This has always been sort of true due to the existence of the dragon balls, but Super takes it to a whole new level. So yeah. Those are probably my main disappointments with Super. It's probably mainly due to nostalgia, but I think I actually prefer GT over Super. (Fight me.)
Let be honest, Dragon Ball's tension went the fuck out when we discovered that Dragon Balls can revive people. Because, even if the main characters die, they can be revived by the Dragon Balls.
I like Super, but damn, there is literally no tension, which you pointed out. There isn't any consequences from the arcs, like in the Saiyan Saga, half of the main cast dies, in the Namek Saga, Namek blows up at the end, and in the Cell Saga, Goku fucking dies. The Buu Saga is the only exception, but that's because it's the end of Z, so that kind of explains why.
Nah, the biggest letdown for me is how incredibly weak the strongest characters feel. Super Saiyan Blue and the major players in general just seem underpowered compared to the level of power the show is insisting they’ve reached. Characters that should be able to move faster, punch harder, and blow up bigger just look like they’re moving, hitting, and destroying on the exact same scale they were towards the end of DBZ. Less so in some instances. The only real indicator for a character’s power is who they’re suddenly able to outpace after transforming, but there’s so rarely any tangible difference in visual ability or strength that makes me think “wow, this character really is on a new level now.”
while people hate ep 5 of super for the lame art goku ssj 1-3 vs beerus is animated at times very fast and well shot and way better than the cheap hits and motions later in super that feel so soft and slow and not at the right angles..the speed matters same for the power...the ssj blue fights always feel slow to me
LOL! I totally disagree with you, they should watch TFS abridged series so they can learn from it, but I absolutely agree that DragonBallSuper`s Goku is very similar to the one in super - dumb, stupid, and goofy.
TFS kept the flame of the series alive and ignited it for many younger viewers. An old show like this would have trouble getting the people who didn’t grow up with it to tune in. However with TFS and video games they didn’t have that problem since DB never went away thanks to them. So they should watch more
number 1 is so true, like the tournament of power has been such a good arc. However, when you look back you realize it started simply due to Goku wanting to fight someone strong. It's so dumb.He literally jeopardized his own universe just to fight strong opponents (that literally sounds like something a villain would do).
he saved his universe you idiot watch the episode properly, the weak universes were already going to be erased but goku let it as a tournament(whis said this)
to me, it seemed really obvious that they were just trying to make what goku just did more protagonist-like. Goku didnt ask for the tournament of power in order to save power, he just wanted to fght strong opponents. His intents were never good
Honestly, my most memorable moments of Goku are when he's more serious. Like when he was throwing around Zamasu and Black at the same time, recruiting Freezer, and the final battle against Jiren alongside Freezer and 17.
Vegito getting all of 3 minutes of screen time on a generic Villian that everyone praises You have the strongest Character in the series and you waste his limited appearance on him? Nonsnical -Kale being a Broly knockoff instead of just being her own version of the legendary super sayian Should have just kept her semi Legendary form and never should have given her the Full Broly look -Cabba achieving SS2 from fighting a complete and utter jobber Why on Earth would you not have frieza be the one to push him to that form -Tien gets a spot on the Squad yet fucking Yamcha can't even get an episode to himself without someone shitting on him -Most of the Guys in the battle Royale are no name jobbers -No universe mattered outside of 6,7 and 11
Did Yamcha even do anything of significance in Z? I mean, the closest thing I can think of is he defeats 1 Saibaman, only to get blown up in a draw. His other notable appearances mostly include getting his ass kicked. Specifically, Android 20 and then Super Buu.
elephystry I agree. And it's shameful that we see a new ability from tien before the top (machamp mode). And not much of him thereafter, an early knockout is all. I'd want to see him train in the hbt chamber and him get stronger. It's because goku and Vegeta make the standards for strength so immensely high that human strength becomes less and less relevant
roshi over buu?..probably the dumbest mistake toei has ever made...this a tournament of the fate of their universe...no time machine will save them this time...roshi really?..he was a gag since z started...like god damn it..tien over kid trunks is iffy too...is tien stronger than a ssj?..im not sure...
Buu's abilities would've made him perfect for that type of tournament. But Toei staff probably realized that they aren't talented enough to write a story with Buu in it and how to use his abilities creatively, so they brought back Frieza instead.
In regard of Gohan before the ToP, i'd like to say that is involvement in the futur Trunks arc was actually really good. Ofc, he is not in the action, but he still act like a mentor figure to Trunks when he is in doubt and all the interactions they had were quite touching.
Gohan showed to Trunks why he was fighting for aka a normal life, something he actually never really saw before the android attack. Sure he dind't do it on purpose, but that was still a really cool episode.
My biggest let down was that in a filler episode, Goku is diagnosed with Delayed Onset Ki Disorder after using Kaioken with SSB against Hit. King Kai warns Goku that doing such again (or being reckless with ki in some other way) could make it permanent, yet all throughout the tournament of power he uses it with no worries. I was hoping the whole Goku losing power at the end of episode 130 was that warning coming to fruition but I was heavily disappointed that it was not.
Funny thing is Buu does less in super than in GT. And GT barely did anything with Buu. All Buu has done in super 90% of the time is sleep or talk about how hungry he is.
Too Superior 2.0 Oh, I did. I watched the entire series in both Sub AND Dub 10 TIMES!! I remember every little thing, and I am certain that I hate Uub.. But that's just my opinion. Love to hear yours, man. P. S. Before you ask : I had a bet with one of my friends that if I lost a challenge, all of us had to watch GT 10 times in a row. As you can see, I lost. I knew I should have chosen paper!
Your wrong here mark 1:40 because toriyama have said that he did bring goku back as the main character because he felt that gohan will not fit the role of the main character and not because the Japanese fans .
Here is what akira toriyama said : Interviewer: And then the Cell arc ended. Did you think that everyone felt you would put Gohan into the leading role? Akira Toriyama: I intended to put Gohan into the leading role. It didn’t work out. I felt that compared to Goku, he was ultimately not suited for the part. www.kanzenshuu.com/intended-end/boo/
The two aren't mutually exclusive. The decision for Toriyama to move Gohan aside because he didn't work as a main character is almost certainly DUE to the backlash of readers and fans. When things don't work, the only viable reason for it is the reception among readers.
simon nugent no. For a show about different universes, Goku black , being either kakarotto never becoming good or an inverse of kakarotto/Goku's origin(good saiyan bumps his head, becomes and is raised evil) would have been far more entertaining. They could've added that the Kai's unlocked his potential giving him the transformation seen foregoing ss3 or blue.
You know, the strange thing about Dragon Ball is how much like real life it is. Disappointments, making the most of bad situations, and people not acting the way you wish they would, and only winning sometimes
I honestly don't get why people got angry about the Vegito retcon. I think it's a much better explanation than "Buu's magic defused them". What?? BUT, I will agree that it was out of nowhere AND that his fight with Fused Zamasu should have lasted a little bit longer. That, and that the entire Future Trunks should have been better. And NO, it's not better in the manga. Somehow, it's worse.. Anyway, I agree with the entire list. ESPECIALLY the Number One pick. Just....Goku is not that goofy, okay? Not that goofy.
Dude, I am not. I just don't like Uub. If you like him, good. I respect you opinion. So don't go around isulting people that don't like what you like. Let's try to have a positive conversation. Also, about the Vegito fight - both fights were great. Anime Vegito vs Zamasu fight was more evenly matched, which I liked. Vegito needed a challenge, so Zamasu obliged. Manga Vegito vs Zamasu was a much more one sided fight and that he was still one of the strongest beings in all of the Universes. Conclusion : Both fights were great in their own way. Choose your pick.
Warney Disner Not going to lie. Those are some good arguments. Congrats, dude. And, as I said, the retcon was out of nowhere, and it angered a lot of the nostalgia fans, but I didn't mind it. I would have loved to see canon Gogeta. I honestly don't know why they didn't use him. He is profitable, and as we have learned, Vegito was only in this arc for fan service and more merchandise.
My main problem with the Potara retcon is that it felt less like "Let's give better context/a better explanation on how the fusion works" and more like, "We've got to nerf Vegito so Trunks can get the win". And like other people have said it makes the gravity of using Potara over the Fusion Dance essentially non-existent at this point and makes the Fusion Dance even more useless than it already was. For the most part they lost more than they gained from retconing it. But that's just me.
Who would like to see the BEST Kamehameha ever done by Goku? *Goku* (*Super Saiyan Blue with Kaioken*) - "KA" *Goku* (Deforms to *Super Saiyan Blue*) - "ME" *Goku* (Deforms to *Super Saiyan God/Red*) - "HA" *Goku* (Deforms to *Normal state*) - "ME" *Goku* (Just when he's about to say 'Ha', He turns into *Ultra Instinct*) - "HA!!!!!!!!" Well this is what I actually came up with haven't copied from anywhere just my own cooking, very unlikely that we may see this scene by the end of tournament of power, but, Maybe we may get to see something similar in future?
AngelusKnight True, I ain't one of those guys, but it's to see how people get interested with the idea 😉 Edit: you know what, it does kinda sound like that.... So thx for the advice removed it 😉
Bryce Alexis That is what I thought and that is why he Deforms over and over collecting all his energy in the Kamehameha, and once it's all done, he makes a final push with whatever is left in him with ultra instinct
DatMysticNingen I don't think so. Although I'm partially basing it off how they both fared against Goku in SSB. 17 didn't get Goku to add the Kaioken on top so I'm not sure how much he pushed himself.
DatMysticNingen I remember it more like Goku was holding back more than 17 was. They're probably more or less the same power wise. Gohan in the TOP is much stronger than he was in the Buu saga and Android 17 was weaker than Cell then. Granted he's much more powerful now but I'm not sure he's stronger than Gohan. There just isn't enough evidence either way.
I'dd say they are comparable in strength but 17 has infinite stamina and his pesky barrier, so I'dd give him the edge. Also they seem to be the only two fighters aside from Piccolo who actually use strategy.
suckieduckie They absolutely are NOT comparable. Goku is many times stronger than 17, not to say 17 is weak, everyone is just getting a bad misconception that they are close in power. This is not true, SSB is perfect ki control, meaning he has total control over how much power he can out out, he can control to the level of him making himself as strong as his base form or as strong as whatever his max power is. Goku loves fair fights, that's depicted in the Goku vs Majin Vegeta battle. The 17 & Gohan vs Goku fights are no exception and was Goku just powering himself down to even the odds.
Lets not forget how super robbed all the characters if thier strength. This tournament should had been able to be finished off by ssj3 goku and mystic gohan. From the looks of things jiren is stronger than beerus and the forms goku and vegeta used to fight beerus were pushed back by normal fighters that wouldn't last 30 seconds fighting the gods. 😧 super ia confusing
Biggest letdown is they wont Canonize movie characters such as Boujack, Cooler, Metal Cooler, Pikkon, Tapion, Salza, and Janemba. (Ik we got Broly and Gogeta but, we need characters we know but better)
Absolutely agree with the first pick I remember watching first episode of Dragon Ball Z, when we saw him as a young adult, not a child anymore, trying to protect all of his relatives, being serious and impressive. We knew that he has grown up, he is able to do serious things. But in Super we get more of child-like Goku who doesn't seem to grow up at all, with his childish behavior and all. I want t see more mature Goku, who can lead people by himself.
the only thing that I hate with goku, is when they reveal that all the universe that will lose will get earase, and goku is just like ( finaly im going to fight someone yeah) bd he doesn't give a shit about the rest.
First of all that isn't what happened, but even if it was what happened that is how Goku has always been. That's how he was written to be way back in the 80's and 90's
Where are people getting this idea that 80's/90's Goku didn't give a shit about anyone or anything beyond fighting? Goku always enjoyed fighting, yes. But the idea that he didn't care if anyone else lived or died as long as he got a fight out of it is bullshit.
It felt like DBS was trying to mock DBGT. The fusion not lasting long, just like SS4 Gogeta. The parasite that Saiyaman fought was like Baby. In some instances they copied DBZ. The pride troopers were the gynu force. Other disappointments were the Uub tease. I thought they were going to use Uub in the tournament. I would of loved to see how strong a past Kid Buu would of done in the tournament. Krillin was such a waste. A Vegeta victory would of been awesome. I wish Gohan would of been like the GT Gohan: a bad ass, never stopped his training, and could hold his own. The biggest gripe was that SSB was just a color change. Super Saiyan 3 was cool because it was different. SS4 Goku was totally different. Oh, and anyone who did not achieve God ki could beat and read God ki, even though the Z fighters couldn't read it. There was something special when we first saw SSB, but then it went down hill real quick. SSB Kaioken was fantastic. It was a great combination, which made it different. I would of wanted Majin Buu to fight in both tournaments. He can do almost anything and could defeat multiple targets at the same time if he wanted to. Uub vs Zamasu and Goku Black would of been awesome to see. The list goes on.
@@EnrocaLaRoca they state that for when its needed in the story. once we get to the tournament they don't straight out say that the rules of god ki change...buuut its kinda implied by the way they fight the god forms imo.
Broom Films But in a fighting series where stronger and stronger enemies keep showing up to destroy everything he loves and he has the kind of genetic advantage he has it's time for him to stop jerking off in the library and roll his carcass into the training room.
You know, except for the Cell arch, where he was dead set on becoming stronger and pushing himself past his limits. The immediately, we skip 7 years into the future and his 11 year old self is stronger than him. Gohan was not battle hungry like his father, but he wasn't a book worm either. His mother forced that on him. The only thing he ever decided on his own as a kid was to go to Namek, and to train to stop Cell.
Saturday2015 The beginning of a show is the most important it needs to hook viewers on the show. Toei relied on it's logo and made a horrible name for itself
Frieza: "The planet blows up in 5 MINUTES" *Planet finally explodes 20+ episodes* Vegitto: *can only fuse for an "hour"* *loses fusion in the same episode*
Japan didn't like the idea of Goku passing the torch to Gohan?!?! Japanese fans are trash. That is the biggest let down in the franchise... Or at least the cannon one.
@@donathan2933 is probably not wrong. A lot of characters (like Gohan) are put to the side in that show. I like super, I just wish the show wasn't only focused on powering up Goku and Vegita.
Lol DBS was written for Japanese demographic no amount of dub is gonna polish it for you . It’s no coincidence Super is a success in Japan and no other countries
I personally liked Gohan being a scholar. Since it literally is what he wanted. Shame they brought him back to fight. Gohan isn't a fighter, he just wants peace.
My personal biggest let down is that Future Trunks isn't in the normal timeline, I think he should have stayed with the Z warriors instead of go with Mai to anoñthe universe with another Trunks and Mai, even if Toei didn't wanted to use him they could have done something similar to what happened to Android 17 but with Trunks and Mai
I have ideas for you every (blank) in 10 words or less: Every arc(including db, dbz and filler arcs) in 10 words or less. Every omage in ten words or less. Every antagonist on ten words or less. Every cliche in ten words or less. Every transformation in 10 words or less(can include db and dbz). Every minor character (this time with a bit more leniency) in ten words or less You could also redo your current ones with db and dbz as well Any other suggestions?
What are your biggest let downs with Dragon Ball Super?
Totally Not Mark kefla's power scaling
Totally Not Mark
Future Trunks Arc Ending...In both the Anime AND the Manga. God dammit, you lied to us, Toyotaro!
Totally Not Mark Probably Vegito Blue.
Totally Not Mark Lack of Gotenks!
Goten and Trunks seemingly becoming younger and younger as the show goes on.
Biggest disappointment is Piccolo never getting a decent power up.
That's probably not too surprising. From the Buu Saga on up, Piccolo has no real use. Him fighting Frost is probably one of his highlight moments.
RIGHT?!
MetroidJunkie well he did beat the invisible person but it was a let down when he was kicked off by the bug but he did defeat universe 6's namekians
I always thought goku was innocent but in super he's just dumb
gokus naïve stupid unsympathetic lacks empathy but he was never dumb on purpose...hes selfish but not to hurt others directly...its the problem with aging him up yet having magical balls that fix everything so any development over loss is wiped away cause we can just wish people back and make the same mistakes with no consequences
He he did hit his head as a child.
300th like
@oROGUEo that's when his friends were all dying
JDillander91 and if he was sent to school and train it woulda help
Honestly the biggest let down is Goku in the show he’s ridiculously childish and immature while being completely over powered compared to the rest of the characters he still gets trashed by the majority of villains
For the childish and immature part that just goku being goku everything else I agree
If Goku wouldn't hadn't been so persistent to fight him, there might not even be a Goku Black.
the biggest letdowns are without doubt trunks and goten
C Vox Especially when you compare them to Gon and Killua!
C Vox I wouldn't even care if they were major characters I just wished they would age them
Exactly. Getting tired of the writes turning those two into waste in this series; they’re Sayian for crying out-loud!
There Kids, they were pretty much force into this misd when Goku decide too not kill Fat buu right a head but the real let down was Vegetio vs Jiren
The CVR123 why would they age them? It’s literally like 6 months after the end of buu being destroyed
Biggest let down is that the whole series isn’t serious, it’s all goofy and and a joke, everyone is too strong making too many characters irrelevant
Like gt
The original dragonball was goofy and jokes though
Yet original db wasn’t all about power. It was an adventure show more than of an action. It didn’t make the human z fighters irrelevant.
@@lapplandkun9273 true
@@hyperwatch721 stop it.. the original dragon ball was never that bad...db super takes the nonsense to new heights.. i cannot take ANYONE seriously... also future trunks' blue hair looks stupid
To me the single biggest let down is that they didn't let Vegeta just kill Golden Frieza...I mean...does Goku ALWAYS have to be the Hero. Vegeta being just plain mean, and showing no mercy was the perfect way for that to wrap up IMO.
I really would like Vegeta to get his moment. It would add a whole new dimension to his rivalry with Goku.
This is my biggest letdown in Dragonball history and even thinking about it again makes me mad again
Trunks killed Frieza and Gohan killed cell
Vegeta did deserve that win.
Akira said that he doesn't like Vegeta and wanted him to die in the saiyan saga, but becuse of the fans, he kept him.
My biggest let down was making Frost evil; instead of making him an actual cool character they made him into another Frieza knock-off
Kelvin Shubert Completely agreed, I liked Frost a lot before he revealed the truth
Sou true
It's be more unexpected if Cabba turned out to be the malicious one after they suspected Frost. A reminder that Saiyans were never nice, either. Goku became nice because of head trauma.
They could've had more fun with the alternate characters.
Agreed. Frost should’ve been the rich, arrogant, egotistical, showboating, but still good hearted guy
one of the things im most sad about is how useless everyone that isnt a sayian is.
Except for frieza and to an extent buu with the moro arc.
More like freaking Yamcha. At least those three got to fight at least once and be helpful
I think they should have a massive power up and goten and trunks deserve more power ups.
toriyama made them useless the very moment freeza saga ended....
That was literally the point after which he completely ignored such nice characters..
the problem is not exclusive to super, it started much earlier..
And anyway, toriyama is famous for forgetting his own characters and plot points ( im looking at launch rn)
TOP was the first arc since namek saga when anybody except saiyans and piccolo could actually do something
The Goku Black arc should have ended with Trunks' slash. Even with the azpull still a better ending then "Zeno Button"
inagine if before that goku tries the spirit bomb and fails; so trunks absorbs it into his sword with the ending like you suggested.
Not only does it explain how he got the spirit sword and power, but it a nice reference to android 13's spirit saiyan or the last dbz movie with dragon fist.
Everyone died and everyone's happy ._.
Set💯
The goku black saga ending sucked🥺
LumRanmaYasha Thanks for commenting so I didn't have too :D
Lin-Oh fuck, what are you doing here?
LumRanmaYasha if only that akira toriyama decided to make gohan the main protagonist instead of goku....
LumRanmaYasha can definately agree
LumRanmaYasha Nope, Toriyama just figured that everyone loves Goku. Why the fuck do you think he cashed in on him? He as been around longer. Doesn't matter what the polls say, at the end of the day, Toriyama wanted that Penthouse and Goku had the potential to give it to him.
Biggest disappointment is no Ghost Napa and no Piccolo screaming “DOOOOOOOOOOOODGE”

@@ctzaffino Base form and future forms, may have a lot more weight to them.
- Beerus came, caused a tantrum, he "slept", they "won
- Frieza came back, he destroyed the Earth, but the plot armor time rewinding ability of Whis saved the day
- Tournament of Universe 6 and 7 is just a game between Beerus and Champa. Even if they lost, they would only switch to another universe. Isn´t like there was something at risk
- Goku Black´s arc probably was the best written arc in the anime so far, but the conclusion of it was a disaster.

Because dragonball has a habit of setting up a character and then immediately having that character get beat by someone new to progress the story

Yeah
Yeah
While the 7 years of peace was supposed to be happening, that’s when Videl gets pregnant with Pan and goes into the GT SERIES people, c’mon now that you have to realize that the SSJ4 transformation is the utmost MOST POWERFUL Form through the ENTIRE SERIES 😒

eh i thought goku black was a terrible character. my opinion ig
You forgot monaka
Trunks1stApprentice dude Tien since cell saga hasn't done anything.Super made him revelant again same as krillin
Gilmartin Pares
tell me one thing he has done then, that makes him relevant
Trunks1stApprentice seriously? Does eliminating someone in the TOP does not make him relevant again? I mean compared to how he was in the buu saga the TOP brought relevance to krillin who has a good number of eliminations considering it's krillin, master roshi, gohan and piccolo who was reduced to a cheerleader in the buu saga.
Trunks1stApprentice
What new thing did they give Roshi exactly? Iirc all his attacks in the TOP were used by him before.
The problem with Tien is that he has no purpose anymore. He was a rival character and got replaced by Piccolo, then Piccolo got replaced by Vegeta, but Piccolo got a new purpose as Gohan's mentor. Tien only has Chiaotzu now and that's it. I really wish they would give him a purpose again
JackOfen They managed to develop Roshi into something more than an old pervert. They used his perviness once as a joke, and that's it.
How about the LACK of importance and growth (both character growth and LITERAL growth) of Goten and Trunks?
Jesus Morales just curious, who would you have them back off on to develop the children?
gotten should look older...he looks younger...trunks i can buy being a few years older than in z since he has a crush and dresses like a pre teen but he is pretty short but so was 15 year old goku so...gotten though looks 6...
Asmosis Jones what’s crazy though is that Trunks In the History of Trunks was the same age as the current trunks
@@razkable They're heavily modeling him after Goku in DB who was 11 when the show started, just as Goten is now. Someone, either Goku or Krillin I think, even mentioned it the first time Goku met Goten in DBZ.
@ItsKendrick To Lit but future Trunks and gohan in dbz were the same age as trunks and goten in super and they were taller.
He doesn't need to do that because Goku is a LITERAL God, he doesn't need 2 7 year olds to become one dude to fight a wad of Gum
Minh Đức Nguyễn who the fuck knows
LadyKraken which is?
Blue Coc Sacrificing himself to eliminate an enemy. Tien kept his dignity as a warrior, like all the U7 fighters did when eliminated......except fuckin Krillin. I expected much more from him, even Shin was disappointed lol
LadyKraken wasn’t he just knocked off and used his clones to take the guy with him
number 1 couldn't agree more! I miss the pure rage! they sometimes can have. His UI helps in terms of serious fighting, but he is never really mad out of disspair!
Why even bother buffing him up with a Super Buu type body if they aren't even going to use it for anything? Talk about wasted potential.
At least if you're going to bring back a previous villain, why not Cell? Frieza already came back in this very show, why do we need him back again?
Goku in super: „I never really fought to protect my friends, I just want to fight strong guys.“
Goku in Z: trained at king kai‘s to protect the earth from the saiyans.
Goku Literally Said In Episode 1 To Goten
I Gotta Keep Training To Keep To You Guys Safe
Dude Is Training To Protect Them And Fight Strong Guys
The treatment of Tien Shinhan is the biggest disappointment of this show. Seriously Toei and Toriyama really screwed up his character
They did that since Z with ALL the. characters. Face it; dragon ball will always be a goku fest.
Yeah, Tien should have had his clones fall off the stage instead of the real one.
I think the writers just can't get a read on the guy.

My biggest letdown was how they did my boy Gohan, they massacred him!
AgentKyo oh shit good point
Whats even wosrt they could of let Beerus and whis wish his timeline back along with the ppl of Earth
Gahtren SUPER Shenron has no limits on his wishes.

The Biggest let down of DBS?
The Writing....
Exactly... Even manga makes more sense, than anime...
> implying dragon Ball has ever been well written
It's always been badly written and poorly animated. It's about cool fights and comedy. It's the epitome of a guilty pleasure.
Questionable? I
yeah
It popularized and created an entire genre of manga and anime. JoJo has the best example of well written shonen.
Is that ever explained? Goten looks 5....
the classic excuse would be animation inconsistency
AngelusKnight, I mean to be fair Goku was 14 from what I remember at the start of Dragon Ball he was pretty much the same height as goten
Piccolo has so much potential but super completely wasted him.
Let’s be honest. Super was the goku and vegeta show. Kind of hard to make piccolo the spotlight of attention when the shows literally concentrated mostly on those two
Not really it was gone before GT lmao
So, basically Goku behaves like its abridged counterpart. Which works for that series, but not for super. Yeah, you're right..
coolwaghmare Yeah because DragonBall Abridged is a parody.
Ice there's a difference between being stupid and flat out braindead
Ice but i do know that goku is supposed to be stupid but i still think they went way too far with the goofiness and stupidity often needlessly in dbs
coolwaghmare yeah, but when TFS Goku does it it’s funny.
Gohan should unlock a new form in the next season. Hes supposed to have the most latent potential out of all the characters!
Except he doesn't, at least with normal Ki, because :
1) Rodai Kaioshin revealed his full potential, making him the strongest "normal" fighter (so no fusions and stuff) of Universe 7 at the end of Z.

@@markopusic8258 wait but the Aura for Frieza's golden form looks similar to the SSG aura the flame pattern
The end of the Zamasu arc reminds me of the joke at the end of TFS Dead Zone Abridged. "Honestly, I wrote myself into a corner with that wish for immortality. I had to come up with SOMETHING."
Speaking of weekly episodes ending....March is around the corner...
Iirc it's been all but confirmed as a temporary break. Some of the voice actors even said they were contracted for ~700 episodes ~ back when Ep 115 came out
I'm hopeful, but cautious
that guy 700 episodes is a rumor I would stand behind! Other series get way up there i would love for Dragon Ball to be ongoing for years to come.
xTVthePunisherx The only thing giving me hope for this is that in all the statements by the producers, this is a temporary hiatus(translates better to "long break" rather than "hiatus").
Sincado sure...ya know despite evidence of the fact from hundreds of youtubers covering this very thing. One heck of a April fools joke
Biggest letdown for me was the potara retcon. Dont do my man vegito like this

8:04 I think we can add the fact that the Heroes technically didn't win the T.o.p
Just Android 17 xD
(Fight me.)
nearly all of super made no sense at all. db is dead to me. not just bad db, garrrrbage cartoon all round. they killed it.
How is Goku using the button a Dues ex machina? He was giving the button from Zeno and he is the strongest being in the universe.
Maybe the story is less interested because, as you said, you were a child then?

So they should watch more
Goku IS dumb, stupid, and goofy. It's basically his defining character trait.
Its the other way around dude, TFS has made some moments of the series far better than in the source material

number 1 is so true, like the tournament of power has been such a good arc. However, when you look back you realize it started simply due to Goku wanting to fight someone strong. It's so dumb.He literally jeopardized his own universe just to fight strong opponents (that literally sounds like something a villain would do).
Lmao...yes if you think about it when stories are made the villian main goal is to prove he is the protagonist!
he saved his universe you idiot watch the episode properly, the weak universes were already going to be erased but goku let it as a tournament(whis said this)

@@alanjamey2777 True, but goku didn't know that when he made that pitch after being warned by THE GOD OF DESTRUCTION.

Your wrong here mark 1:40 because toriyama have said that he did bring goku back as the main character because he felt that gohan will not fit the role of the main character and not because the Japanese fans .
Here is what akira toriyama said :

Akira Toriyama: I intended to put Gohan into the leading role. It didn’t work out. I felt that compared to Goku, he was ultimately not suited for the part.

Bryce Alexis are you sure ?

Simon Hughes he literally is Zamasu in gokus body
@@petercenteno8095 why do u say kakarotto but then call it ss3 and not ssj3
be consistent pls
it's just Kakarot anyway.. Kakarrot if you're feeling adventurous. the -to is only added because of Japanese phonetics and doesn't make you sound cool
@@LilithSoul4 oh shut up.
What about how much they hate Tien?
When you mentioned Zeno eliminating the zamasu filled universe I just noticed that he eliminated all the people that were supporting trunks as well
Zamasu killed them before that.
ML WARRIOR I Know, Right?!?
Bardock SkyWalker
Thank you, my brother!!
Warney Disner
Not going to lie.
*Goku* (*Super Saiyan Blue with Kaioken*) - "KA"
*Goku* (Deforms to *Super Saiyan Blue*) - "ME"
*Goku* (Deforms to *Super Saiyan God/Red*) - "HA"
*Goku* (Deforms to *Normal state*) - "ME"
*Goku* (Just when he's about to say 'Ha', He turns into *Ultra Instinct*) - "HA!!!!!!!!"
Well this is what I actually came up with haven't copied from anywhere just my own cooking, very unlikely that we may see this scene by the end of tournament of power, but, Maybe we may get to see something similar in future?
Mr.Manvi FTAI Movies very nice idea. but don't ask for likes, that makes you act like a desperate person.
AngelusKnight True, I ain't one of those guys, but it's to see how people get interested with the idea 😉
Edit: you know what, it does kinda sound like that.... So thx for the advice removed it 😉
Bryce Alexis That is what I thought and that is why he Deforms over and over collecting all his energy in the Kamehameha, and once it's all done, he makes a final push with whatever is left in him with ultra instinct
Woah.
Not as good as his Kamehameha with feet.
#1: The entire series was a let down
17 and Gohan are tied as the 4th strongest U7 member
DatMysticNingen I don't think so. Although I'm partially basing it off how they both fared against Goku in SSB. 17 didn't get Goku to add the Kaioken on top so I'm not sure how much he pushed himself.
Snow That’s because 17 was suppressed against Goku
Absolutely agree with the first pick
I remember watching first episode of Dragon Ball Z, when we saw him as a young adult, not a child anymore, trying to protect all of his relatives, being serious and impressive.
Gokus response to hearing that other universes being destroyed was "Can we ask Zeno to leave that part out."
Gohan wasn't sidelined for Goku because of backlash, it was Toriyama's own decision, there are a lot of rumors about that but most of them are fake
Luv luv luv all your Vids!! 😍😍
If by "read ki" you're talking about "sense ki", let me tell you that it is false. It is stated that only the godly ki users can sense it.
except SSJ4 Gogeta and Baby were cool.
Gt Gohan was weak and uninteresting
@@lungbutter361 that's because the enemy is too strong. In super gohan is so weak that even piccolo is now stronger than him
@@EnrocaLaRoca they state that for when its needed in the story. once we get to the tournament they don't straight out say that the rules of god ki change...buuut its kinda implied by the way they fight the god forms imo.
3:11
Frieda: Oh goku... * in dreamy girl voice *
* careless whisper plays in backround *
Gohan character arc makes sense he's never enjoyed fighting.
Broom Films he only enjoyed fighting when he got older
No, he didn't.
Broom Films It definitely does make sense.
The problem is he gets getting roped into all these fights anyway...😥
*Number one should be the entire Resurrection F arc!*
Seriously Toei needs to stop rushing their poor animators
Angry Daniel I mean those first 2 arcs weren't exactly important
Saturday2015 Yeah they really weren't.
Saturday2015 The beginning of a show is the most important it needs to hook viewers on the show. Toei relied on it's logo and made a horrible name for itself
Saturday2015 Also not everyone watched the movie so...
D-Snakes Still I'm going by new content not redone content. Thats why I say Db Super started at the U6 arc
What irritates me is that Goku is something like 45 years old now, and he acted like it in Z, but now he acts like he did in the original Dragon Ball.
Frieza: "The planet blows up in 5 MINUTES"
*Planet finally explodes 20+ episodes*
Vegitto: *can only fuse for an "hour"*
*loses fusion in the same episode*
Now one of the greatest disappointments was Krillin on the team for the tournament of power instead of pikkon
Beard Anarchist Pikkon doesn't even exist outside of filler, though...
Wasn’t he dead?
Super60429
I don’t think you know what filler is
Super60429 not filler, it wasn’t canon
Lmao might as well bring Omega Shenron
Actually saying that trunks didnt transform for a reason is wrong he transformed out of anger to protect his own world
Shtill a dumb transformation
Jirens backstory.
Japan didn't like the idea of Goku passing the torch to Gohan?!?! Japanese fans are trash.
That is the biggest let down in the franchise... Or at least the cannon one.
Last Drop Games amen
I feel like the Japanese people are the reason why Super sucks
@@donathan2933 is probably not wrong. A lot of characters (like Gohan) are put to the side in that show. I like super, I just wish the show wasn't only focused on powering up Goku and Vegita.
@@deweydrop3421
Shit the fuck goku William kill Gohan easily bitch
Lol DBS was written for Japanese demographic no amount of dub is gonna polish it for you . It’s no coincidence Super is a success in Japan and no other countries
At 6:47 on the manga Vegito says " My name is Vegetto" . I have the manga also but mine says "My name is Vegerot" .
I personally liked Gohan being a scholar. Since it literally is what he wanted. Shame they brought him back to fight. Gohan isn't a fighter, he just wants peace.
Anyone else watching this after super ended
Biggest disappointed was not seeing a filler episode showing trunks and goten with Maron defending 17s preservation island
We could get one after the top
You should do with the best moments
My personal biggest let down is that Future Trunks isn't in the normal timeline, I think he should have stayed with the Z warriors instead of go with Mai to anoñthe universe with another Trunks and Mai, even if Toei didn't wanted to use him they could have done something similar to what happened to Android 17 but with Trunks and Mai
Jiren appears out of nowhere:so I started being invincible
I have ideas for you every (blank) in 10 words or less:
Every arc(including db, dbz and filler arcs) in 10 words or less.
Every omage in ten words or less.
Every antagonist on ten words or less.
Every cliche in ten words or less.
Every transformation in 10 words or less(can include db and dbz).
Every minor character (this time with a bit more leniency) in ten words or less
You could also redo your current ones with db and dbz as well
Any other suggestions?
