Unfortunately, no. The digital age has killed any hope of a repeat of the 6th gen. We look forward to a future of 25% finished games being launched and then fixed for years to come, loot crates, and in-app purchases. No on is designing games anymore, just applications with micro transactions meant to nickel and dime money out of consumers. Plus whether it be a console or a PC, every platform (outside of the Switch) is a download box, and none of them have any particular flavor. In the future, they can forego consoles, and just release smart TVs with gaming streaming services where you won't even need a hard drive to install the games, you just stream them off the internet. You'll just have to buy a controller. We will all own nothing and be "happy"
It's sad this channel hasn't grown with time. I feel like the internet forgets so much every passing day. I read your argument about Halo Combat Evolved. It's my favorite of the series. How many people even remember 1337 anymore? I thought that was funny. I was in Kindergarten when you posted that video. You know, it really wasn't that long ago, yet it's more than half of my lifetime. Just a thought. Thanks for uploading these videos
You are welcome. I've loved sharing my passion for gaming with everyone over the years. I did most of these videos long before I was ever monetized. I just loved sharing my interests with others. I have also mellowed out on Halo as the years have gone by, lol. I read some of my old writings and I'm dang, what am I so mad about. You should read my description on my PS2 Underrated Gem: Evergrace video. If you ever get a chance you should read it. I was mad. Lol ua-cam.com/video/ot3kX3psh_o/v-deo.html
@@DookieCakes Lol I read it, it's interesting to see that gaming media has been up to the same hijinks no matter how far back you go. My friends and I are just starting out with our channel. Old gaming channels like this have inspired me a lot when making videos
@@GoodmanGaming1877 I'm glad my poorly made, poorly edited videos could help inspire the next generation of youtubers. Lol. Are you covering modern or retro games, or both? For retro, I think that NES, Snes and all that is burnout territory, I suggest covering those games you have personal nostalgia for. The games that mean something to you. That comes through better in a video. On my new review channel I've been delving into the PSWii60 era, because at the time I was so focused on this youtube channel and covering PS2 and PS1 games, I've barely touched on the 7th gen. I'm having fun going back to that generation which is nostalgic to me in different ways than younger generations. For some it is their childhood nostalgia, for me it was my early 20's nostalgia that I didn't even know I had nostalgia for until I started playing more PS360 games again.
@@DookieCakes I do like some modern games, but really only the ones that are continuations of already existing series. I primarily focus on Xbox 360 games, and original Xbox games that are playable on that console through "backwards compatibility". The 360 and PS3 were in their prime during my birth and I grew up playing games from the 360 and its counterparts on the Xbox one. Minecraft, Batman Arkham series, Halo, Call of Duty, Fallout, Lego games. Those games are all playable on both generations so I spent a LOT of time playing and watching videos about them. Everyone's moved on but I guess I haven't. I want to make stupid videos even half as entertaining as the old videos are, with all the jank and poorly made nature of it all INTENDED. It's definitely my childhood nostalgia, but it's more than just chasing an "aesthetic" for me, I want to be more connected to that era of technology and I've genuinely got a passion for it more than people who just find old things trendy and nostalgic. I'm not trying to sound like a complete goober but I personally identify with that era more and I think we've moved on too fast. Just hope I don't crash and burn lol
@GoodmanGaming1877 You won't crash and burn. If you have a passion for it, that will come through in your videos. Give it a shot. Modern UA-cam is a lot harder to get views on, but if you just keep working on it, eventually, you'll succeed. You won't crash and burn
