I not only miss Robin, but I miss the way things were, The writers were definitely better back then. I regret not living in the moment as a kid, all I wanted to do was grow up, be an adult, now that I am, all I want is to go back. I always thought I'd be happier in the future, so I never learned how to be happy with the present. Yesterday is long gone, and tomorrow may never come, so cherish today, Nothing Gold can stay.

Me too. I 100% agree with everything you say here. I too was excited about the future when I was a kid, but now given what has happened to our world over the last 20 years (and at the rate things are currently going now), I am SUPER scared about the future, particularly the next 10, 15, even 20 years down the road. I'm afraid of what this world will look like.

This movie became my favorite by accident. I had just came home, late night out, and decided to watch something on the tv anything to be honest. I saw this movie and said, “what the heck.” I figured since it’s 2 hours long I’d fall asleep 30 or so minutes in……BOY WAS I WRONG!!! When I tell you this movie had me so emotionally involved I couldn’t even fall asleep for a while after watching such a beautiful display. I mean the emotions, the deep meanings, the music. It’s as if I reached some sort of epitome about the purest most ideal form of love. This movie is truly remarkable!!!!

Same for me, it was on a local tv network, on late night slot(usually bad movies or flops they got for cheap), beginning to watch it not expecting much, but it just kept getting better and better! Left me in tears after the movie ended! Then I thought what a great movie. Why have I never heard of it!? It was just a few years after it was released! I may say this now has become one of my favorite Robin Williams movies!

This is one of the few movies I have seen that can actually make me cry. The pathos of Andrew and his quest to transcend his beginnings, to become more than he was... a pure story of metamorphosis. When we talk of "coming of age" movies, this puts them all to shame. Robin Williams had the incredible ability to do comedic scenes with an absolutely straight face. He could bring forth poignancy with very little difficulty, or so it seemed. Robin, your loss was felt by many who knew at least some of your great body of work.

This is a good part if you pay attention because what Andrew is looking at far as the person the grand daughter Porcha became is all because of Andrew. He taught himself how to play the piano and later taught little Miss and also loved to build and restore stuff etc the list goes on. Porcha inherited alot of stuff that he taught her grandmom and she passed it down to her kids and grand kids. Now that's influence for the future.
