I just got my XL-7 2 days ago... WOW! This thing is incredible. Some of the sounds are a bit dated, but some are still amazing sounding... I cant wait to learn this thing inside and out. it's definitely not the most intuitive piece of gear I have, but I have a feeling that I'll love it once I get it figured out.
This is true, however you can 'burn' new samples onto a card and install them from an Emulator IV. Also note that all the command stations are the same (XL7 / MP7 / PX7) are the same thing, but different ROMs and a paint job...
@jonbon242 I would say it is on par. The manual for this baby is about 2" thick and I read it cover to cover. There is loads of depth in the synth engine. Just a note though this can't actually sample It is a rompler.
Hello I am using Reason 7 with the MP7. I do I bring back the sounds on the command station that I used b4 when I shut down and restart? Is there some kind of midi dump or recall? Im just using the MP7 as a sound moudule right now.
I'll presume you are in pattern mode. Hit the "Pattern" button on the top right and then scroll through the menu until you see a "Delete Tracks" option. It will be towards the end of the options you have. Arrow over once and then hit the enter key. From there, any of the the 16 track buttons that have data on them will begin flashing. Tap the ones you don't want to be cleared. Anything still lit will be erased. Then hit enter again. You can also do this with just the automation data while leaving the notes.

@kerrytunes 512 songs, 1024 patterns, 100,000 notes. Not sure what you mean by the storage medium, but you can import/export via standard midi.
Is that pad sound coming from the Yamaha???
How many songs/notes does the sequencer store and what medium does it use for storage?
I created multiple songs and im interested in finding out how do you set up the emu mp7 to download into reasons or protools?
