MJ: From that moment on, it was personal.

"That's all I needed." MJ
Dude i think nba really need to look at this crossover move, it does not matter wether you are MJ or complete defender or super human athlete, its the move that is really deceptive, if a person looks like he is going to go a certain direction of course you will try to run before him, thats what good defending is, trying to be one step ahead
@Joyce Williams if ai was 6,3 he wouldn't be able to do that
LRSA bruh it’s nothing wrong with the move 😂 literally every offensive move on earth is hard to stop when executed correctly. Regardless if you’re MJ, Olajuwon, or freaking Gary Payton. That’s why good offense always beats good defense. Nobody practices to beat bad defense 😐 There’s 100 moves more deadlier than a wide cross like this
Allen Iverson is the only person on the world to say that he legit crossed the legendary Michael Jordan
no kobe did too
Kevin Johnson?????
Ace shaq
you're a moron
Ace you forgot Javale Mcgee
A crossover is not about making the guy fall, it's about getting separation and getting him to bite on the wrong lane while you go the other way. This is as solid of a crossover you can get. So all of you saying it was not that bad, Jordan recovered... blah blah, still he took the bite, went the wrong way and could not contest the shot early enough after the separation.
Sixolile Dyasi exactly I'm a bulls fan but A.I is my favorite player
.
Sixolile Dyasi the fall is just extra points😆.. i believe jordan was to strong and knowledgable to fall, but he sure as hell was rocked to sleep and then he bit and was used and abused. The AI crossover is taught all over the world.
Congratulations! I guess Jordan will just have to hold his head down...
...AND LOOK AT HIS RINGS!
Ok captain obvious everybody already knew that 😂😂😂😂

What makes this even better is that fact the whole arena knew what had to happen everyone spread away from iverson and jordan slowly walked up and took the spot like a final boss rolling up his shorts it made it feel like a movie
The reason this is iconic is because back then iverson was so young, and Jordan was an aging legend. This event really reflects iverson taking over as one of the league's best guards as a young gun. Also, he looks sick in that sixers jersey
Aging? Jordan had a good four years left in him.

“MICHAEL! Get up on him”
Phil knew!😂 what a game.
"Put that 45 on a 33 rpm" that would be slowing it down
That part really caught me off-guard. Pun intended?
maybe Pat thought something like oh if 45 is fast, put it on a 33 (which would be slower) it would still be super fast
He meant take a 45 and repeat that 45 at 33rpm. So it would be 45 times 33.

The best little big man to play the game of basketball.. Hands down!!! Allen Iverson.
I always though this could have been worse for Jordan. Allen has proven he can put opponents on the floor. I think the X-factor here is that Jordan took a swipe at the ball, or that Jordan was even thinking of stealing the ball.
I believe Jordan would eventually focus on just trying to keep Allen in front of him. What an amazing player Allen was; he was another reminder to everyone that when you can create off the dribble you're going to cause havoc. Lethal penetration.
crawlFace well there was one guy that made Jordan fall. was funny too.
Twink Skill Capped (TSC)
Do tell...
crawlFace type it in youtube it pops up. Kevin Johnson I think was the guy that was sentenced for attempted murder of MJ ankles.
Twink Skill Capped (TSC)
Lol good one. Looks like Johnson may have made some contact but still, the contact plus Jordan on the retreat/backing up as Johnson drives a bit, plus Jordan's left foot never planted fully or properly certainly resulted in Jordan sliding on his butt. Also very important to note: KJ sunk the shot after lol.
I liked KJ.

0:14 - Putting a 45" on a turntable set for 33 RPM would decrease the speed and make the music sound like it was in slow motion. I think he meant the other way around. Regardless, I remember watching that game as a kid and being amazed that Iverson took Jordan one-on-one.
It's a double entendre, #45/old set back to 33 years old on the nuggets. Makin the "45" look/sound slow

This crossover put Allen Iverson on the map, facts.
This is hilarious still man the crowd reaction before he got cross was priceless
A crossover is not about making the guy fall, it's about getting separation and getting him to bite on the wrong lane while you go the other way.
These were the days
James Brown yeah when you said that was the days
If they didn’t put this on Last dance documentary , the documentary it's meaningless
The last dance was about the '98 title run, it wouldn't include this moment from what I think is the '97 regular season

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CROSSOVER I'VE EVER SEEN STILL TILL THIS DAY!
No way
This will never get old
Real niggas know can't nobody beat Allen Iverson 1 on 1 in his prime. That makes him the best player ever imo
That's your reasoning? Last time I checked basketball was a team game. Pretty sure Kevin Durant could beat Lebron in a 1 vs 1. You saying he's better than a player like LBJ...?
Jason Daley jesus christ fuck kd and lebron hes talking about ai
Jeremy Soto It's a good analogy. Just because you could beat somebody on a 1 on 1 game doesn't mean you'd beat him in a 5-on-5 game which is what basketball is all about. KD, Kobe and Melo would all beat Lebron in a 1-on-1, but Bron's team record against them is damn one sided in his favor.
Jaydee I'm with ya on that
***** first off kd and melo couldn't beat LeBron 1v1. Prime kobe more often than not. Ai would eat LeBron. That being said LeBron is just too big for kd and a better shooter than melo.
A rookie crossing a legend? Damn
Person: What’s your name?
Allen Iverson: I crossed up Michael Jordan
Person: Ok, nice to meet you Allen Iverson
Murda Mook has a battle rap line about this moment. It’s pretty good.
At the end he says “Off of that one move AI got his name, we forgot Jordan had 30 points and still won that game”

Mj says no..allen says yes..
Still gives me chills til this day
"Michael, get up on him," barked Phil Jackson... and then it happened! Iverson's killer crossover was so imposing to deal with because he could use it intelligently to get the best on ANYONE. That's cold!

lol word
So true lol
I don't watch basketball but i have to admit Iverson moves much quicker and dynamically. Jordan looks slow and cumbersome.
@Shadow Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Iverson was a rookie, around 21-22 years old. Jordan was around 33-34 years old.
@@redred4594 I am just speaking what I am seeing, it looks like Iverson is on another planet technically. Although there are many greater players that Ronaldo (the brazilian) there were none that possessed his dribbling ability. I just like the movement aspect, its spectacular.

Your just hurt because it was Michael Jordan I bet you would if fell for it too... Did it make them panties wet
retsea1 lebron wopuld flop to the ground mj even though he got beat he made it look good
OBLIQUE he swiped for a steal, knowing how much faster a rookie AI was than him at that time, and the recovered for a good contest on the shot. You really can't ask for more from an older defender. This was 96-97 Jordan was getting old at this point
I remember watching this with my dad back in '97, this was the only time I've seen him wide-eyed...looking at me, like what the hell just happened here
That was also the last time he did that. Iverson gave him something new to adjust to. He adjusted. Respect to Iverson for giving the greatest something to think about.
Lol, hell of a lot of people getting giddy over this.
Every player gets crossed. It was a great move, sure, but Jordan still had the guy's number, and even Iverson knew it:
"The craziest thing about it is, I hit him with my best move, and he still almost blocked it," Iverson said, laughing at the moment. "That's what was so crazy about it. That just let's you know how great a defensive player he was."
santino anthonyz - You better calm down son & tell that to Iverson, because those were HIS words.

What I liked about Iverson is that this little bastard could take bum ass teams and make them playoff contenders by pretty much single-handedly winning a majority of the games. He could defeat any scorer on any team he was playing against. If Reggie Miller put up 40, Iverson was putting up 45. He was amazing at that size. I've never enjoyed watching anyone play the game more.
