I love his style. A unique style of play. He made it look so easy that we cant even think that how difficult is to play like this effortlessly. Beautiful playing style

It's not that difficult actually. He had a huge wing span because of his height, quite similar style to Samsonov.

its very creative obviously as most people nowadays attack and focus on their consistency. This guy is literally borrowing the attackers power and is not using a lot of energy.

Oh Sang eun always managed to absorb all the power shots from his opponents and then play the switch in direction just at the right time. This would throw his opponents off rhythm. He would then follow up with his own placements shots and have them guessing. Very effective point after point in disturbing his opponents flow.

Are there any players left with this style in the modern game? I love this style and I have studied Oh Sang Eun and Vladimir Samsonov, but it seems that the faster and faster equipment with the plastic ball has turned the metagame into powerlopp-powerloop-powerloop!

Many thanks poster. My favourite player since Waldner. I keep on dreaming of an upgraded version of Oh beating FZD just by blocking and beautiful placement (Fegerl came close last year, but I think that was a one-off). Then I wake up and realise it's impossible in the game as it currently exists. A pity.
