I'm glad this account exists. Co-op gaming seems to have been overlooked so much in current gen, in favour of online gaming. But when you want to try and play with a friend or partner on the sofa, we have to search and search to find games that fit that requirement. Well here they all are in a perfect video for us to review. Thanks for taking the time to put this together
Careful when trying to play the Ascent in co-op. Do NOT try to join someone that starts a new campaign, it will delete your own campaign progress. Only join into a new campaign AFTER it has started. This is an old bug this abbandoned game had never patched.
Nice job on the list. It's always fun to see a game or two I havent tried yet. I'm excited for the new Toxic Crusaders as my next beat em up adventure. Here's hoping for a 2024 release after all the delays this year.
Awww sookie sookie you mentioned Gauntlet :), TMNT is criminally underrated for the side scroller fan. Borderlands 2 and 3 is the gold standard for me. I am shocked no Aliens colonial marines :)
Great list of games but as a no-mates player anymore - I used to be part of a PS3 crowd called O&R - (old and rubbish), ah what great memories playing R:FOM , UT3, KZ2, EDF, Dead Island etc with my online buddies- I tend to play solo nowadays which is sad but…unless you’ve already done so, how about a video of great games with decent Bot co-op companions. Example, KZ2 team death match with Bots was really excellent. Re your PS5 question, bought mine launch day in UK….. same for PS4 PRO, PS4, PS3, PS2 (only 80k came into country so I was fortunate), PS1, Vita, PSP. I was late to the party with PSVR 1 and don’t have PSVR 2 sadly.
@CouchCoop128 as a coop provisionado. what do you think about Steam Link and PSN Remote Play Local coop. and do you think there is a place for psn Controller assist in future gaming some how maybe :D
I'm going to sound old now, I remember my mate coming round with his Vita and we played Helldivers with him on the vita as a remote controller and his own screen, on the vita itself... this was 2015!!! I'm a little heart broken that they haven't just made an out and out handheld with the ps4 power ! The whole thing just seems like history on repeat for me! The Steam thing I want to look into, my budgets have been cut majorly this year so hopefully I can get involved in 2024. Appreciate the question !
@@CouchCoop128 my girlfriend lives in Japan. she has a ps5. we play online coop. mostly FFXIV and Fortnite. mentioned some new games we intend to try in another comment on another of your posts. she only has an older laptop but is able to download SteamLink where she lauches a small app and it displays a 4 digit code I put in on my PC and we play Local Coop. with psn we have a separate shared account that we put online coop games for us to both download. but can also use PSN Remote Play app. where she signs in to shared account while my psn is on and i can join her local coop using my main account. cant play competitive because of slight delay. but not relavent for local coop anyway. apps like Moonlight and Parsec can do PC remote play with better delay ive heard. with the Assist they have introduced. i wonder if there is a place for it in tutoring esports and even future online multiplayer where there might be partial / shared controls with certain things in a game. i think might be great. edit: imagine playing a new online multiplayer game and an existing experienced player is literally helping you with the controls. with some display element that lets you know exactly whats going on
Borderlands is the reason why i bought a ps5 , and you couch .. is also another..i believed in old fashion nostalgic community based.. Two people sharing a couch old school gaming.. and boy didn't it deliver.. My wife and i had a mad time.. this and blackops3 but this has vertical screen split which felt better . Only complain ; those small menus

I feel like it's a crime not having Diablo 3 on here.
That was originaly a ps3 and 360 game. Not ps4 and 5. So of course it's not on here.
