Dear Ron, What a very beautiful playing with your groupe musicians, I like all these beautiful instruments, thanks for sharing with us again Ron, I enjoyed the music very much!!! Please don't stay away to long. Our best wishes to you, Dearest greetings Chris - The Netherlands - Europe - UA-cam chrismayka.
Pawpaw Kingery I love you you your were one of the strongest people in my life and a role model. I love you forever and always. I watch these daily. Hope in some way you know that 😥 ♥
i love the songs you guys play awsome dancing music , ive got all the ones you posted on my favorites tom plays that fiddle with such ease just wicked playing all of you thank you for sharing these wonderful songs
Nice sound boys. Makes me want to get up and dance. The gentleman who you say has been playing the fiddle for 80 years sure does a good job along with the other fiddler.
Meanwhile...back in the garage, you guys are creating awesome old time music!!!! Have you ever thought about making a cd or a DVD? This is another great old tune.
Yeah, i wished i sit between with my guitare, i love it. thats the best thing in live , sit together and play stuff like this. have a great day , cheers CHris
Now we know where you and Tanya Naomi get you great talents. The guy holding the fiddle casually is Tom Kingery. He is nearing 90 years old, and is still a great fiddler. He was for many years considered the best around here ,and is the one Jim Marshall learned from. Thank you very much for taking time to visit us...*ron
Hi there Jack, ..John Hartford ,to me was a true master of the fiddle, playing many styles...Bill, who you see in our videos sitting to the left of the mandolin player, was aquainted with John. John visited our area often our the years to play with local musicians...
Hey Mary! We're from around Huntington,WV. Our live shows are pretty much just sitting in my garage or on someone's porch or under a shade tree. We can't really call ourselves a band, but rather just some guys that get together some times to pick a little. I'm sure glad you enjoy our old tunes though and wish you could be here with us..Thank you very much for your interest..*ron
@rjchand LOL! I'll bet you're the only one that has watched them all...man, we sure thank you for lettin us know you like our stuff.. I ain't never here southern soldier boy...looks like I would have since I was raise just upon the ridge above where Stonewall Jackson has his boot camp for a while...lol..Wish I did know it..sounds like a good one. Keep droppin in on us, 'cause you'll always be welcome....*ron
@spikeduval We are really pleased that you like our music that much. I suppose ol' Tom is pretty much at ease with that fiddle after 80 some years of sawin' away at it. Had it not been for Tom, there would be a lot fewer fiddlers in our area. His patience, and sometimes lack there of, has helped dozens of folks to keep working at it until they got it right...He is a purist in the sense that he likes it best done the old way. We sure appreciate your visits and comments....*ron
He's about 90...so he's been playing it like that for about 80 years...seems to work for him...lol...We appreciate ya droppin' by.....come back any ol' time...*ron
Yeah, that's a fur piece alright...I been in all the state but 4, and you right there in one of 'm...maybe some day...It sure would be nice to have you here sometime when were pickin'. Thanks for looking in on us and thanks for commenting..If ya hadn't, we wouldn't have knowed you watch..lol...*ron
A man should only work when there is absolutely nothing else to do, and you have plenty to do just visiting with us..lol..I don't believe either of them ever worked at a saw mill, but most of us hillbillies have, at one time or another, dated a girl who worked at one..We consider that "woman's work" anyway 'cause men need to protect their hands for more important stuff, like pickin' and jug holden'...thanks for dropping in...*ron
@ltatch I like it too, but folks have been tellin' him you can't hold a fiddle like that for 80 some years now,,lol..glad you and Nof dropped by...*ron
@astrolog7000 I didn't know Mr Blizard, and never heard the words to 'walking in my sleep', but most old fiddle tunes have lyric, if you can just find them.
@fiddlingmichael Hey Michael!! Tom ain't related to Pat as far as he knows, but we sure appreciated you coming by for a visit and taking time to watch...*ron
It makes me want to dance to,but unfortunately I can't...at least not without risking injuring someone...lol.. Jim learned to fiddle by hanging around Tom, so maybe that explains it.Thanks for taking time to watch...*ron
