My God this still moves me to tears. Wyatt's voice and drumming , Hugh Hopper's fuzz bass, Mike's Piano . So Incredible. Is there anything as good as this? Not for me
I bought this Lp after listening to Third and I was hooked . Nearly twenty Songs in 33.44 Minutes , I could not believe it . I am bassplayer by myself and the Soft machine taught me the 7/4 Metrum .
I was 14een years old...in France and this stuff was my holiday's stuf ...she called Yoka came from néerland ..i was fall in love ..and Soft Machine played every day ..
Lyrics in spanish: ¿Por qué trabajas tú por allá?
Classic album. Unique, avant-garde, still accessible pop. Got to love this "Summertime/My favorite things" outro on Dada. I wouldn't have minded a smoother transition with THIRD and towards jazz rock.

Robert Wyatt is a great singer, but his drumming skills really need to be commended.
Huge agree, I get so fixated on him when he's jamming on Moon in June

No, Daevid Allen wasn't on the first album, he'd already left. They made it as a trio.
