Nice to see a no-drama interaction there. Props for having the paperwork handy, and kudos to the officers for being chill and open to something they weren't aware of.
Coolest cop i have ever seen great guy and very respectful, isn't this how all who are bestowed with power should behave??? I would like to nominate this officer POLICEMAN OF THE YEAR!!!
2 of the nicest officers ever ! A pleasant experience talking to them ! A credit to the San Francisco police department 👍 Your Ford GT definitely sounds way better with your new exhaust 👍
Officers were on point. Polite and he even said, hey if I can learn something then teach me! Wish all officers were that way. Obviously they always have to be cautious about traffic stops cause they dont know who there are stopping. Kudos to Tim and the officers for being polite and calm during a traffic stop.
Half way through the video it just hit me that it would have been feasible to have picked up the Ford GT in the states, make the coast to coast drive, then off to England. Definitely cool to have you here!
This may become one very popular Ford GT here in the US. Since you are driving it around the whole country. You taught that Officer something new and he was very humble to learn.
I had the exact same thing happen to me 17 years ago in California. The bull-headed cop didn't know his own country's laws and when I pointed out that he should investigate via the US Embassy website, failed to do so. Ultimately these kind of Police officers (in any country) are on a power trip. We didn't have camera phones in those days, but glad you posted this to show how Police should brush up on their abilities to enforce laws.
This is what makes you an amazing UA-camr. The majority of other UA-camrs would have titled the video like “Ford GT owner owns cops!” or “Ford GT owner tells cops how it is!”
I really recommend a British flag 🇬🇧 sticker on the side of the rear plate or number plate holder. In other parts of the world you need a giant oval GB sticker to indicate its from Great Britain. Guessing its good video content huh.
I can well imagine not many cars are shipped to the USA and i doubt many people would even know what the white GB sticker means as they dont use it there for anything so they'd still pull him over and question it as Shmee said most arent aware of the laws regarding this.
freepieanchipsgarage you are correct. Also if I remember correctly during Gumball3000 where Shmee(Tim) used his Audi R8 or McLaren(confused abt it) ,he was pulled over & ticked for now having the oval GB sticker on his car.

eldan wiggins “People” do import cars. I’m from Texas and there are cars from Mexico (and occasionally Canada) I see regularly. They “import” them by driving them across the border. Shmee isn’t “people” though. He’s a bazillionaire who flew his nearly million dollar car here from the U.K. 😂😂😂. You can’t *really* blame traffic cops for pulling someone over for something they’ve never seen and, likely, will never see again. Besides, it makes great content for his channel. Especially when the cops were super chill. 😂👍🏻
I imported an Ariel atom on British plates to Belgium and as long as my homologation for Belgian plates was not finished I drove around on British plates. I was fearing that a LHD Atom with English plates on Belgian soil would be a cop magnet but never ever did I get checked in the 3000 miles I did in that period. Crazy
Good officers. I've done many ride-alongs with different officers and these guys were top notch. Only issue I see here is that both officers were asking questions at the same time. Usually when officers ride two-man (2 officers per car) one will take lead and do all talking/interacting and the other will stand back and observe the passenger, or surroundings to ensure officer safety. The second officer here was pretty quick to engage and did not let the initial officer (on Shmee's side) finish his questions...
JustLiveInPeace: Yes....Normally, only Canadian or Mexican plates at most. Why would most US cops be familiar with anything else? It’s a huge country, land-wise, so most people in the US wouldn’t ever encounter a valid European plate.

Since Europe is so connected by land, it's a lot more common to travel in your car from country to country. Since the US is essentially landlocked with the exception of Canada and Mexico our laws about international plates are stricter.
I see Canadian plates all the time during vacation months and they never get pulled over, cops are trained to look for things that are out of the ordinary.
Might be weird, but I like just the hint of nervousness shown when he’s pulled over, like asking where to pull over, etc. It shows he’s not a presumptuous, elitist weirdo. The basic humility definitely makes Shmee’s content some of the best on UA-cam in my opinion.

Pretty Cool 😎 Shmee you get pulled over in a $500k Ford GT over in San Fran for out of country license, but if I 💩 on the sidewalk it’s ok??? what a great State!
hahaha tx Red
Lmaooo I just finished watching American Dystopia so this has me dying 🤣🤣
ReddNeck Buddha i agree state run by bunch of retards you can go to jail for doing an illegal fireworks show on the 4 of July but they released criminals out of jail
Shmee you are such a cool dude, I have been following your epic USA coast-to-coast tour WELCOME we love your vids!
Officers were on point. Polite and he even said, hey if I can learn something then teach me! Wish all officers were that way. Obviously they always have to be cautious about traffic stops cause they dont know who there are stopping. Kudos to Tim and the officers for being polite and calm during a traffic stop.
Keep up the awesome content! I love your merch they are my favorite things to where!
Agree! Shmee merch is the bomb! Its my favorite car merch to wear as well. Buy Shmerch, wear Shmerch, live Shmerch!
Half way through the video it just hit me that it would have been feasible to have picked up the Ford GT in the states, make the coast to coast drive, then off to England. Definitely cool to have you here!
Shmee video exposed the police department. Half these guys don’t know half the laws but somehow are cops, loved how you handled it by the way.
This may become one very popular Ford GT here in the US. Since you are driving it around the whole country.
You taught that Officer something new and he was very humble to learn.
the classic sheep cheers at the end :D love it haha! how the cops acted is the way all cops should act.
Cheeeeeeeeeeeaaarsssss lol
11:53 🗣🐐
it's not as rare as you might think...
We need more cops like these guys
Great video Shmee we love your videos please keep them up
I had the exact same thing happen to me 17 years ago in California.
Anybody catch the dude doing a selfie at 11:30. ... hahaha
You have and sound too polite for any cops to hassle you. And that's one of the best parts of this channel
Its really no different than somebody from Canada or Mexico driving in the US.
It actually is. Because Canadian and Mexican plates are very similar to U.S styled plates.
Actually there is a US LW that allows this. Even so Canadians have been pulled over by police for not having a US state licence.
@@pafireenthusiast8486 that doesn't mean it's any more legal for Canada and Mexico
Very nice to have met you today Shmee. Have a great stay in LA and have fun on the rest of your trip. Too bad I could not see your GT today.
Being pulled over was worth that start up and noise.
Hope you had a good time in my city Shmee! Wish I could have seen you driving around with that amazingly spec'd GT, good lord.
When you took delivery of your Ford GT, was the fuel light on when you started the vehicle ? 🤣
Pretty much!
Tae
M .Tenorio fun fact most (it not all) cars are shipped with an almost empty tank. They only get filled at the dealership.
@@featherman9 i know i know,just having a little fun 😎
I like how car guys have a genuine personality
The US should provide foreign drivers, in situations such as yourself, with a sticker to put on your plate that tells the police what's going on.
Shmee's been in America what less than 2months I think. And he's already speaking American slang at 7:17 in the vlog he says bro!!!! You sir are a class act!! Big love for you BRO!!! Some of the other car community utube content creators should take note on how its properly done. CHEERS TIM....!!!!!!!!
Shmee's AD revenue is definitely paying for the fuel on this trip XD
There's not enough ad for that
Those are two of the coolest policemen. Well done San Fran Officers! Really two gentlemen that are complete class acts. Thx for being such a great example of US policing. .
Those police were cool but I find it's really dumb that police don't know people import cars into the country when visiting
eldan wiggins “People” do import cars. 😂👍🏻
@@brandonbman5921 true but they still dumb for that regardless of whatever car anyone is driving.
Great police officers, very professional and didn’t come in with a “ I know it all” attitude. Nice!
Good thing Tim didn't have a cellphone in his hand, people been known to get killed for it.
Crazy
"pull over to the curb!!' what curb at that location. Instead of fighting real crime overwhelming the city the police waste their time on this.
Have US cops never seen foreign plates before? Common place in Europe.
JustLiveInPeace: Yes....Normally, only Canadian or Mexican plates at most. Why would most US cops be familiar with anything else? It’s a huge country, land-wise, so most people in the US wouldn’t ever encounter a valid European plate.
Well explained, check world map and u will understand it.
@@USMC1997 Quote... *Why would most US cops be familiar with anything else*
oh..I don't...MAYBE FROM WATCHING MOVIES where there are cars where the story doesn't take place in good-ole "Merica" FFS!
@DDAA you don't watch a lot of movies...do you...say for instance, ANY James Bond Franchise? Mission Impossible Franchise? Jason Bourne Franchise???????
@DDAA I've never even seen a Mexican or Canadian plate and i lived in the states for 19 years.
Welcome to CA Tim. I'v been in CA since 1980. No visit to CA can be called complete with out introducing yourself to the police. I've been stopped more than a few times. Never met a bad cop or gave my "autograph" for anything that was undeserved. Being polite and respectful seems to be a secret most people don't know when it comes to dealing with the police here. Puts you a leg up on half the population that live here.
you should have a union jack on the side of the plate !
You handled it perfectly. I love when he asked if it was your car.
7:16 never would I have ever thought that you would be making a jake Paul reference 😂
You know Shmee. I want to say thanks for sharing this trip. Glad your having a good time in the states.
Shmee should just tape those documents to the window & point 😂😂
lol Not a bad idea.
Put all the documents in plastic sheet protectors in a 1 inch wide binder, then wedge the binder between the seat and the console. Available at Staples.
And that’s how both parties of a traffic stop should act. Seriously thumbs up for all parties involved.
The craziest part about this os that you drive your cars all over the WORLD And the only place this happens is in the US. Crazy.
its because of history, remember that one time a terrorist took a ford GT into a city center......................................................... exactly its just something they have to check up on
Since Europe is so connected by land, it's a lot more common to travel in your car from country to country. Since the US is essentially landlocked with the exception of Canada and Mexico our laws about international plates are stricter.
Nothing crazy about that at all, actually. European travel by nation is far easier and fluid.
I see Canadian plates all the time during vacation months and they never get pulled over, cops are trained to look for things that are out of the ordinary.
Both of my brother's are police men. You had a great attitude towards the officers! I am glad you are visiting here in the United States.
Still hoping for that SF shmeetup! This vidieo was filmed about a 5 min walk from my house!
Might be weird, but I like just the hint of nervousness shown when he’s pulled over, like asking where to pull over, etc. It shows he’s not a presumptuous, elitist weirdo. The basic humility definitely makes Shmee’s content some of the best on UA-cam in my opinion.
The cyclists at the beginning were hilarious.
HCTR SNCHZ ?
@@hypnofba Yea the people on the bikes thought they were getting pulled over when the police said to pull over on the curb 😂😂
Credit to the force...I’ve seen some awful videos so it’s nice to see polite cops.
Welcome to San Francisco Shmee, Lets pull out some cars and play.
Pro Exotic Lifestyle are you in SF? What ya got? We should collaborate
Love the red and blue for the into graphic! Awesome!
