"V for Vendetta"
The scene where V faces off with Creedy. He throws multiple knives simultaneously and kills multiple cops.
@@jeremiah6462 V has enhanced strength beyond a normal human if I remember correctly, but it would still be cool to see a test to see how hard it would be to replicate his knife throws
@seanmadson8524
I know it is impossible to replicate exactly. But how close could a normal human get. Plus, who doesn't love that scene.
V: Mr. Creedy, you and I both have something in common.
Creedy: Oh yeah? What is that?
V: We are both about to die!
Creedy: And how do you intend to do that?
V: With my hands around your throat!
Creedy: Why won't you die?
V: Because Mr. Creedy, I am an idea, and ideas are bulletproof.
LOVE THAT MOVIE
🤯🤯🤯🤯
@@jeremiah6462 For sure! Legendary movie, and a great scene to try
Ninja mission throwing star ⭐ to the throat scene. And Predator stick around Dutch throwing massive knife scene.
"Big trouble in little China" Lo Pan throws the knife at Kurt Russel, Kurt Russel catches it, throws it back at Lo Pan and kills him with a headshot!
It's all in the reflexes
Classic movie, and a great scene to recommend. It's possible to deflect arrows, so I could imagine that it's possible to catch a knife, but actually catching a knife would be quite the risky test
@@seanmadson8524 i agree but if anyone can... adam is the one! 😂
Do you have green eyes?
Similar scene in The Crow. Ducks one, slaps one out of the air and catches the third and returns it... right to Tin Tin's shoulder.
expendables, the knife throwing of Christmas
we gonna do that one for sure ,))
@@AdamCeladin bro im very bad at half spin can u pls help me,im using 5-6inch long nails
I can't remember which one it was, but Jason Statham throws while outside and still hits the middle of the dart board. after watching this video, I'm skeptical that shot is real.
@lifeishard1211, it can be done. It just takes a lot of practice throwing knives and knowing your distance. Back when I threw in competitions, I could call my target and hit it. This was throwing with 2 and 3 revolutions. Things start to get real sketchy when you get to 4 revolutions or more. The distance is getting to be almost too great for accuracy.
The irony of that scene, was it doesn't work on BUGS! 😂
It did work on the brain bug, minus the throwing
At that point in the movie, they didn't know they were fighting bugs.
In the book, they were fighting a race they called "skinnies" which were humanoid and had hands.
The point of the scene really gets lost in translation.
The whole throwing knife scene was about how those forces trained their front-line troops in every imaginable way to be as lethal as possible, even if it seemed uselessly outdated.
If you can hit a hand, you can hit a nerve stem.
See all the holes in that wall? Looks like plenty of recruits ask this question 😂
I NEVER noticed that! Haha what a great movie
Very difficult but definitely a plausible throw. Sgt Zim was also an elite soldier even within the Mobile Infantry, and one tasked with training in combat arts.
Yeah he was legit killer 😎👌
Difficult throw yes, but don't underestimate Mr. Crabs.
Everything about that movie was true and accurate
Even the fictional stuff?
Would you like to know more?
Movie...? You mean documentary 😅
The enemy... don't have hands, it's a giant insectoid
Move logic just entered the demonstration. Love it ❤
Thank you very much Bladed Sister ,))
I much more prefer actual logic.
To to be precise, the logic that the soldier with the red button sits inside a bunker with a massive door guarded by a dozen or so armed soldiers. 😁
That being said, Starship Troopers was an awesome movie despite pretty flawed logic all over the script.
@@patrickd9551 The scene made a lot more sense in the book. The MI's training in the book was ridiculously extensive to give the soldiers the best chance of winning possible.
Im happy to give movies a “benefit of the doubt” like Zim being an elite soldier from the future throwing a knife that is probably an ideal alloy and sharpness allowing it to be thrown further and more accurately, but its cool to see someone actually perform these feats as well as explain why they are difficult or easy, and why this method or this style of weapon is used vs a different one. Great content 👍
Thank you my friend
I bet Sergeant Zim was doing that demonstration everyday. That's why it's so easy for him.
I love military half spin🔪 it was first technique that I have learned, btw awesome video bro 💥👊🏻
thank you brother, yeah one of my favorites for sure
I feel like Ive waited 30 years for this video. Thanks.
Haha thank you my friend
Truly an expert with thrown knives!!
The prosecution for the Courtney Clenney trial should ask you to come and do a demonstration that would be awesome!
A demonstration in ballistics Gel with rib-cage, from ten+ feet away with a non-weighted serrated chefs knife slipping past the bone structure and hitting the subclavian artery. There was a report that it went in 8 cm which looks like it might be accurate. She would have had to have hit him in the neck if it was the subclavian artery... Someone has the story wrong.
If the hand is still , and you have the perfect set up, yes the thrown knife will go thru a hand like butter 💯
Yes sir 😎👌
The Enemy Can Not Push A Button if You Disable His Hand
Sergeant Zim
Or go Wee Wee if You disable His Pee Pee🔪🥒😳
Or go Pee Pee if You disable His Wee Wee🔪🥒😳
It depends on who makes the quick move first.
Not only the hand can push a button.
I love this 💕. Great movie I own all the starship troopers movies. I would love to see you do one on the movie King Arthur from 2004 with clive Owen. Where Tristan throws a knife into the handle of another knife already stuck and says in response to how do you do that "I aim for the middle". I really do love these movie breakdowns. Adam you are an absolute legend in my book!
wow i did not know about that one :P thank you very much my friend .)))
I love that movie vs reality series! Great job Adam!🎉
Thank you brother, its really fun to make these vids
@@AdamCeladin keep up the good job!
Really diggin the Paul Herrel-esq meat target
Those are my favorite waaay better then these bullistic dummies
very talented person to imitate a fictional bad ass
Thank you my friend
very cool, now I'm thinking of movies where there's knife throwing
Let me know if you gonna find some cool one ,)) thank you my friend
Young guns and Young guns 2
Dirty dozen magnificent seven.
Hail the judge, look up the knife throwing scene from that
Love the fact that there were several recruits in the line of "fire" that had to move to not be hit in the face.
And then they punish Rico because a recruit was hit in the forehead with a rifle when Rico took his helm to fix the visor, although the live rounds could have liked anyone in multiple ways there because the only protection they had was the top of the head.
The very place the guy was shot was like 4 cm about an unprotected area of the head
"the enemy cannot press the button"
*Guy with adrenaline rushing through his veins*
Lets be honest, that was Mr Crabs who threw that knife so of course he can do it
It depends on the button I suppose but you have two hands a forehead a nose and knees and elbows. Lots of ways to push a button. Can’t push a button if you are dead go for the kill.
Sergeant Zim only took the job until he was killed or they'd found someone better .
Awesome! Can you try the lounch of Benicio Del Toro in "The Hunted" on the training camp? That throw blow my mind
ohh for sure thats a good one ,)) thank you my friend!
@@AdamCeladin thank you! Have a nice day!
I like how honest he is !
To be fair, Sergeant Zim used his right hand 😂
Not to forget that the amount of muscle thickness in a human hand is very slim when compared to that of an animal like a pig or a cow.....so that throwing knife could accurately do what the movie shows and from that distance too.
100% I am wondering they must had good knife throwing consulant on that set because everything was really done very well.
@@AdamCeladin Wasn't the wall in the movie metal? I'm watching the scene over and over and I don't think it's wood. But maybe I'm wrong.
was going to say same thing that slab of meat looked a bit too big.
@@elementalist1984the wall was actually a big magnet that helped the knife stick.
@@user-ov9hk6vk9s pretty sure that's not how magnets work, lol.
Disable their hand but last time I checked the bugs they were fighting in that movie didn't have hands.
That was cool 🤘💀 it also shows how much of a difference in difficulty a few short steps can make.
Thank you my friend yeah in tournaments 6-7 shows really skills of Thrower shorter distances almost everybody can stick with some practice but longer ones are tough
The Sgt made a valid point followed by a convincing demonstration.
Totally 😎👌
The only problem is in starship troopers they're fighting bugs so huge that a full clip from an assault rifle doesn't stop them so unless they have a very secret vulnerability point knifes are useless
Watching from Ontario Canada, excellent video my blade brother!👍🇨🇦
Thank you my brother 🙏🎯💪
Nice vid. It's not a movie, but a set of action adventure books; Modesty Blaise's associate Willie Garvin uses throwing knives as his primary weapons. Might give those a look.
Thank you i would love to check it out for sure
I hit my foot with the point of the blade from a rebound today, penetrator my shoe no problem! My foot is definitely disabled for now. Awesome video Adam!!
Wow careful my fried I hate those Rebounces! Thank you for watching and comment
That was a pretty cool myth-busting I would love to see more of like this
Thank you my friend we will do for sure
@@AdamCeladin I've been watching your videos off and on for several years now I keep trying my hand is throwing knives but so far I can only do it close I think this video actually helped me out a little bit with the different grips at different distances I didn't realize that was necessary
Useful information.
Haha thank you my brother 😎👌✌️
Desire to know more intensifies.
The worst part is the tendons getting cut, they can shoot back into your wrist, a friend explained how that happens when he showed me how he had stabbed his pinky playing that game where you lay your hand flat and stab between your fingers. He said they literally have to reach in and stretch the tendons back out.

Smith and Wesson metal throwing cards or throwing cylinders effectiveness test?
cool idea we can try some day for sure :)) thank you for comment my friend
Awesome as usual, thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you! Cheers!
Another fun video. Thanks! 😎
Thank you too :)) glad you liked it
Not really a movie, but the way Soap kills Shephard in the original modern warfare ii with a knife toss into the left eye was pretty sweet.
Thank you my friend will check that scene 😎👌
In the movie it sticks into a METAL wall after going through his hand.
any movie di is knife throwing or shuriken by a ninja
Magnificent Seven: with James Colburn (I’m sure I spelled it wrong) the “gun slinger throw “ don’t have to use a switch blade, I could never figure out the distance, thank you.
I did video about that but maybe we can go back in to it someday soon 😎👌
Only thing that you overlooked is that Sgt. Zim wasn't human, he was a killing machine.
Awesome video Adam!
Glad you enjoyed it
That scene in the movie is one of my favorites.
Mine too thank you
There's a movie, "The Hunted" with Benicio Del Toro and Tommy Lee Jones. There is a no-spin throw done (early on, i think during an encounter with some hunters, he throws it into a small sapling), knife looks like it's on rails. It's said a technical advisor did it for real for the shoot. I think the guy that made the knife. Do that one!
Will do for sure 😎👌thank you
I always think of that scene when students are wanting to skip the basics and get straight to the high tech cook stuff.
Haha nice
I received zero knife throwing training.
Got tons of firearm training.
Can't tell you how many times I told the enemy to hold their hand against the wall, and they just ducked behind cover instead.
The Knife throw in "Big Trouble in Little China" or "Serial Mom" and Katherines other movie "Romancing the Stone"
Love this man ,
"let's get started "💪 😎 ❤
Thank you my friend 😎🙏
Cap used the same technique in Winter Soldier as a terrorist was reaching for an alarm. Instantly reminded me of Sergeant Zim.
love it
@@AdamCeladin
I’m still experimenting with the difference in impact between a no-spin, half-spin and full spin. I don’t fully understand the physics though, but I seem to be getting better penetration in the military half spin. I’m thinking that’s because the rotation is adding force, but the full spin over-rotates and I can’t throw as hard with no spin.
@@raydrexler5868 no spin takes time but when you get it down from closer distances is same powerful like spin throwing and gives you advantage that you dont care about the distance
He was a pirate, not a terrorist.
There's a huge difference.
(Just me splitting hairs. 🤪)
T.b.f. Sgt Zimm had waaaaaaaaaaay more training and experience doing that, than you have.
Just took a quick look at your videos and was surprised that Desperado wasn't covered.
That i want to make special, maybe have Limo for it as well :P
@@AdamCeladin Look forward to it.😎👍
Nice!! Plz do the knife throw scene from 'Die Hard with a vengeance' when Bruce Willis was forced to wear a racist sign.
there is knife throw too? i had no idea thank you my friend :)
@@AdamCeladin yep, black dude pulls a switch blade, under hand throws it from 3-4 meters. Ive tried and failed 😔
I forgot about that scene. It's a good one.
Great show Adam !!;
thank you brother, we had fun with this one!
Well yes,it looks good the big guy playing the drill instructer was ex spec op's and combat veteran.
The unspoken truth of that scene, is that they should have been training againt an enemy that doesn't really have hands or press buttons.
knife throwing from prince of Persia movie, preferably the throw of the dagger from the palace out, to the merchant
Thank you will check it out
Dude that threw the knife in that movie looks like Hadley from shawshank redemption.
"medic!" Love Clancy Brown
I didn't know Linus from LinusTechTips also knew how to throw knives.
Looks fun
A bit dark, but looks like full spin
But of course the scene splits the shot: throw-stick
Interesting because it is elevated.
What you think?
(Game of Thrones, Season 8)
Really darn cool!
Thank you my friend
I hope you see my comment as I have not seen anyone make a video on can you bounce a throwing knife and hit something like in the old cod mw2 and mw3 games
Thank you my friend will do 😎
@@AdamCeladin nice
Just an idea. you should have the meat on a pendulum going up and down away just of the wood stump and see if you are able to make it stick. of course the meat didn't stick her as the energy from the throw dissipated as soon as it went in to the hand, but how much would the hand moving change the trajectory of the knife, sure it would hurt and pull blood, though i suspect there wouldn't be any broken bones, and it would be more of a cut then peircing wound.
Thank you
It certainly works for Clancy Brown. Maybe not anyone else.
Ah! I loved this video, brother! But watching the knife hit the tracing of your hand was almost painful. haha The one that would have taken off the tip of the thumb is what really got me!😮 Anyway, I hope you and the family have been doing well! 👍👍
haha thank you brother, yeah i had same taughts about those fingers hits, it would be seriously brutal i think it would split the bone like piece of cake
@@AdamCeladin Oh yeah... There probably wouldn't be any way to save what was left. 8-/
Great pick.
Thank you
Nice demonstration. When I spent enough time for practicing I was able to consistently hit a poker card from around 5 m. It took a lot of practice to get there though.
Movie: maybe "Swashbuckler", the melon scene
Thank you my friend
Adam's kitchen nightmares how to tenderise your pork joint.
Great video always brilliant to see actually how difficult it is to do what thay do in the movies.
Haha thank you my friend 😎👌🙏
Seen Adam’s clips before…truly incredible consistent accuracy with any throwing weapon. If you didn’t see it, it wouldn’t sound likely. Amazing!
Thank you very much 😎👌🙏
🗣️ hello Adam world champions, am David from Indonesia east Jakarta, am very like this video, you analize what happen in movie throw knife scene, i like military half spin, i like this kind of video, next can you analize other movie which in those movie there are throw knife scene, under siege star by Steven seagal and Jason Statham in Expendables, thanks Adam world champions 👍
thank you very much my friend! we gonna do that one for sure ,))
And for the follow up question, could you through with enough force to pin the hand into the steel like in the movie?
Depend which kind of steel if some soft one really no problem maybe we can try someday 😎👌
hey if you can make a pencil disappear sticking a blade through a hand is easy.
Predator,stick around
What would be the ideal weight for the blade ?? Especially over longer distances
you need at least 200 grams for good knife and longer distance even more weight but maximum up to 350 grams
@@AdamCeladin appreciate you man every day is a learning day getting better at most styles and now with this information i can get my distance sorted
Adam you are a legend love from the UK
One knife throw that ive always wondered about is in Devils Rejects. The character Baby throws a bowie knife underhand into the victims chest from across a room. Would throwing underhand even be a technique?
Yes 😎
At that distance you might as well draw your knife and go hand to hand. Distances above that need a lot of practice all to achieve a maneuver thats easily replaced by some other tactic with also more versatility.
As for the movie, no this still couldnt happen. The material behind the soldier’s hand was metal. The knife may pierce the hand. It may also land at the perfect angle in relation to the back drop material. But i highly highly doubt itll result in your hand being stuck to the wall
Really cool! You ever think about blow darts or those weird stick slung arrows?
Thank you my friend yes I can do something with them too
I think you are referring to the atlatl.
You just may be right.
You make a stick with kinda spooned or Notch at the end.
Set your arrow in notch and kinda sling it like a catapult sort of speak.
Does that sound like it
Haha! Hey, my comment on a previous video has come to life! Nice 🙂
Clancy Brown is the Man.
The Kurgan haha
Great video 👍 do you calculate how many twist your knife does before it hit the target for each distance, because every time I throw the knife the handle side hit the target 🤦🏻♂️

Tell your enemy not to move for a time you can try several attempts of adjusting the range and force!
Very interesting Blog 😮
thank you my friend :))
Top ten movie for me, might be the best scene. Haha. Cool little experiment. The knfe sure went deep and thats a messed up hamd for sure... bit did any of the throws get stuck to the backboard? Like in the movie, looked like it was thrown hard and stuck him on the wall. I know movies... but neat to see what it would take.
Thank you my friend my friend it would stuck only if it wood be soft metal and wood right behind it I totally forgot to mention it
Big Trouble in little China, Jack vs Ming. The catch and throw, is it possible?
My old instructor told me that shuriken were used to hit enimies in the eyes or hands, not necessarily to stick they'll do damage
Yeah they were used for distraction or to deter pursuers, not kill.
Thank you my friend
If you had a hand thickness piece of meat, do you think you could have stuck it firmly to the wall like the movie? Although I'm not sure if that was a wooden or metal wall his hand got pinned to (and it's of course a movie so not totally realistic).
That's the first thing I noticed when watching the movie.
Only if that metal would be soft metal then no problem if hard surface it would pierce the hand totally but after bounce of
there's some Knife throwing in "Under Siege" by Steven Seagal.
cool movie, but the throwing is just some basic stuff.
He's the cook. but you know that already.
