      I know it is impossible to replicate exactly. But how close could a normal human get. Plus, who doesn't love that scene.
      V: Mr. Creedy, you and I both have something in common.
      Creedy: Oh yeah? What is that?
      V: We are both about to die!
      Creedy: And how do you intend to do that?
      V: With my hands around your throat!
      Creedy: Why won't you die?
      V: Because Mr. Creedy, I am an idea, and ideas are bulletproof.

    • @mageckman
      @mageckman 5 днів тому

      @lifeishard1211, it can be done. It just takes a lot of practice throwing knives and knowing your distance. Back when I threw in competitions, I could call my target and hit it. This was throwing with 2 and 3 revolutions. Things start to get real sketchy when you get to 4 revolutions or more. The distance is getting to be almost too great for accuracy.

    Im happy to give movies a “benefit of the doubt” like Zim being an elite soldier from the future throwing a knife that is probably an ideal alloy and sharpness allowing it to be thrown further and more accurately, but its cool to see someone actually perform these feats as well as explain why they are difficult or easy, and why this method or this style of weapon is used vs a different one. Great content 👍

    The prosecution for the Courtney Clenney trial should ask you to come and do a demonstration that would be awesome!
    A demonstration in ballistics Gel with rib-cage, from ten+ feet away with a non-weighted serrated chefs knife slipping past the bone structure and hitting the subclavian artery. There was a report that it went in 8 cm which looks like it might be accurate. She would have had to have hit him in the neck if it was the subclavian artery... Someone has the story wrong.

    And then they punish Rico because a recruit was hit in the forehead with a rifle when Rico took his helm to fix the visor, although the live rounds could have liked anyone in multiple ways there because the only protection they had was the top of the head.

    Just an idea. you should have the meat on a pendulum going up and down away just of the wood stump and see if you are able to make it stick. of course the meat didn't stick her as the energy from the throw dissipated as soon as it went in to the hand, but how much would the hand moving change the trajectory of the knife, sure it would hurt and pull blood, though i suspect there wouldn't be any broken bones, and it would be more of a cut then peircing wound.

    One knife throw that ive always wondered about is in Devils Rejects. The character Baby throws a bowie knife underhand into the victims chest from across a room. Would throwing underhand even be a technique?

  • @skinisdelicious3365
    @skinisdelicious3365 2 місяці тому +1

    At that distance you might as well draw your knife and go hand to hand. Distances above that need a lot of practice all to achieve a maneuver thats easily replaced by some other tactic with also more versatility.
    As for the movie, no this still couldnt happen. The material behind the soldier’s hand was metal. The knife may pierce the hand. It may also land at the perfect angle in relation to the back drop material. But i highly highly doubt itll result in your hand being stuck to the wall
