Singapore is a very safe place and kids there are growing independent. I saw small kids going to school on their own when I was there. So it makes sense to have a show like this.
Ha ha .. how innocent the kids are 😭 Around a dozen of people following and recording him and it's only Kobe who doesn't know what's going around.. he seems quite engaged with the task (and proud too) 👏 ❤️
This episod so fun sia. All the crew especially the cameramen is really cloae to the kid and later on he might have a clue on what's happening even at an early age 🤣
In Japan, you dont have to film the kid. Its a natural way of living in Japan that kids are mini adults . Its the society and school education in preschool in Japan that by 3 yrs old they must learn to cross the road themself and go home without parents. Society in Japan will usually ignore kids and not talk to them just because they are alone. When they are buying items n paying money, japanese cashiers will assist to count the money for them HONESTLY. All by trust! In driving schools, we are trained to stop and let kids cross no matter what situation even if the traffic light is GREEN
I guess living in city isn't that good for growing up kids unless it is a safe city. I've been raised up in village and always do errands by myself started by the time I was 5 years old. Same with my younger siblings. Usually buying groceries like flour and oil. That's why I know what brand is cheaper and more expensive, even though I don't cook. 😬 Just hoping that cities and towns in Malaysia have more walkable lane or bicycle lane. The main concern is road safety.
The kid started running because of the gang of adults clearly following him everywhere. He even looked behind while he was running ! The producers may want to limit it to just one person closely following, and let the others be on the actual route as the kid walks past them…. As far as cameras go, they do make telephoto lenses right ?
this clip satisfies tv viewers the children were kept safety while filming. its a good thing for accountability. but the producer and the production staff would have thought that half the people in the nation would not understand that a tv show like this show is 100% staged.
it is. the director said it. and yes, not work in Malaysia. Either they get kidnap, or come across aunty uncle who very concern seeing a child alone, stop their errand and bring back the child home😅

@@CNAInsider I have just finished old enough season two on Netflix. The Japanese version it said down the bottom of the screen a third season is coming. Will that be the Singaporean version?
So my question is after letting him do this with all of the safety crew around, what if he thinks he can do something like this again and just takes off without his mom knowing without a safety crew around? Not sure, I like this idea even though he's cute to watch also in the US there are too many children being abducted so I don't think it's a good idea to let your 3 year old do errands without you esp. in the US.
Love this but as a mum , I prefer to let my kids be kids . They will grow up ( v fast ) plenty of time to be independent. I will not rush my child to grow up so fast . Let them enjoy the kids journey. 😊why must grow u so fast . 😢
Getting independent is part of growing and building self confidence is great to start since young! That doesn't take away fun. All these characters are built from young. Especially 2-6yo. 6yo when they enter P1, they need to make decisions without parents in school, with classmates with different walks of life and backgrounds and their decision is based on their first 6 years of value impartation and character moulding. From the basic of packing their own bag, clearing rubbish, running small errands, changing their own clothes and cleaning after themselves like putting away plates after dinner. These are educating the child, habits and upbringing from parenting. Not just feeding the child and grow in size and let them buy whatever they want. Wait till in primary school, the child can't help him/herself and feel incapable when parents/grandparents wanna feel good by overdoing for the kids, pampering and spoil the kid and thinking that miraculously they will be equipped by skills when they grow up, without given the opportunity at all since young, all taken away by the adults, when they were actually capable to manage themselves, then expect the school and teachers to parent the kids. And when they are independent, they have the capacity to help others, to maybe even to lead others, and that's like a ripple effect. 教养教养,养很容易,教很难。 raising kids to keep them alive and meaningless play and waste time and parenting kids with meaningful quality time and equipping them with basic independent skills are different.
Ask his mom to wear it a certain way so it's more secure? Fotbidden to open the bag? Oh no, it spoils the fun. It's not like the japanese who have reverence for charm so they don't open the charm.
WHO: Just one country alone is responsible for 60% of all malnourished children below the age of 5 in this world, do you know which country? Hint: The country with critical toilet issues, with a religion that segregates people according to birth and is also at No.107 on the World Hunger Index
I think it really only works in safe countries. Japan and Singapore are rated some of the safest countries in the world. Paired with a little supervision, it's fine.

So excited for season 3!!!!!! 🎉
Love this series!! Used to show it to my students as well, glad to see a season 3 😊

i think this is the version best i watched🥰
Hahas. Cardio exercise for the crew! 😅👍
I sent my younger siblings to help me buy chips at the ntuc across the road and they came back with the wrapper cause they ate it on the way back
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 and came back happily
The slidlings episode looks interesting
The Singapore version is less obvious than the Japanese one.
The camera people were SO OBVIOUS in that one.
the kids are gonna think theyre in the truman show 😭
I guess the commenter’s kid who asked to go on the show will be aware they are on camera.
So cute omg
The cameras are so easily to be spotted..
Reminds of the Japanese version. I guess its inspired from it. Btw,... I don't think it would work in malaysia.
it is. the director said it. and yes, not work in Malaysia. Either they get kidnap, or come across aunty uncle who very concern seeing a child alone, stop their errand and bring back the child home😅
This is an imitation of the Japanese show, right? The Japanese make their children go to school and also do the grocery on their own at a young age.
Yup, they mentioned it at around 2:29 . They bought the rights from Nippon tv.
